As a propaganda aficionado, I love these. The spin they got was incredible in the face of reality. How to spin mid-44 into an acceptable, let alone positive, story was a challenge Goebbels' team were up for. A few months later, as East Prussia got smashed, they did go far more basic/heroic, as the situation demanded. Thanks for this inside look M1945, have a great day all.

Yep. They didnt believe that the americans will help down to the bone the russians. UK and USA did anything to help Ussr fighting the germans! It is a fact: Stalin himself recognize that without american help he would be crushed by german army!

Lol and now the west has propaganda to an art form . Can now understand how they managed to create so many nazi's , seeing it in real time during the so called pandemic. Except we have a mass cowardice issue at least people weren't lacking bravery back then.

That concert was for Hitler birthday 20.4. 1944. You can see all the big state officials attending the show....

One wonders if any of those massive sculptures survived the war.
Some of the Thorak and Breker sculptures survived. The sculptor whom can you see on reel is Josef Thorak.

Remarkable how much effort was expended in order to make all appear fairly normal. The people watching the concert performance surely knew that a very horrible end was approaching the 'Reich', but they were still able to stoically watch the production as if all was well. Fortitude or resignation?
Yes, by 1944 it was pretty hard to ignore reality.

Maybe those people, as you call them, didn’t see the reich as we do today, after many years of leftist propaganda. My grandparents were two of them. It was because the USA decided to go to bed with the devil himself, Stalin, that the end was as it was. Many Germans were still holding out hope that the “Ami’s” would wake up and realize who the real enemy was.

Well, Germany declared war on the USA first. The American population of course fully supported declaring war against Japan but declaring war against Germany was still not automatic. That was honestly one of Hitler's worst blunders
