I feel so darn proud watching these guys up there, they worked so hard to get there, and definitely earned it, but still were underrated I feel, multi talented, amazing drummer and quitar, Robin could make those vocals do whatever he wanted them to do, still does! Oh yes, they signify Real Rock and Roll, take notes Ya'll ...❤️❤️❤️❤️
What World Music Fest is this held ? I went to L.A. in 79. A 2 day event. Nugent, Van Halen, Aeros..were the headliners. UFO...awesome... Cheap Trick..love'd em'.
I was there. Free double mini concert presented by Wolfman Jack with other artists (Gap Band, Laura Branigan, Jacques Higelin, Girlschool and Kim Wilde). The recording dates from January 27, 1983 at MIDEM (Marché International du Disque et de l'Édition Musicale) at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes on the French Riviera, France (just before the start of “Surrender” we see a second the facade of the Carlton Hotel). Audience composed largely of professionals from the world of music and partly young people from the city to whom invitations had been given (I still have them, at the time I was 17). The evening consisted of two shows for all the artists (7:45 p.m. then 10:45 p.m.). That evening Cheap Trick (with John Brant on bass) performed two identical sets: Ain't That A Shame, Surrender, I Want You To Want Me (absent on You Tube) & Dream Police and it was how to put it … …“an insane performance”, crazy energy and overpowering sound, I was right up front opposite John, it was the first time I saw them on stage and that evening I had a blast foot in the ass! When Bun E sent out the crazy intro to “Ain’t That A Shame” and Rick came out with the 335… Wow, the perfect definition of rock n’ roll!. Needless to say, the next day I was infected and I immediately went to buy “At Budokan”.
A band of never tire of listening to. I have actually met them before meet and greets were a thing. It was a small club, but it was wicked nonetheless.
That is one great drummer.

And of course, that evening, I came out of the room with a pick... ...thanks Rick!
I always get a kick when I see my personal favorite guitar being used by the greats. Now if it was plugged in to a Vox I would be ecstatic.
How can these guys not be in the Rock & Roll Hall of fame..!!!!!!
They are, now.
Why does Robin Zander look like he's in a glam-metal band?
@@thesouthernerwithadhd2710 - It was the 80’s.

I absolutely love Cheap Trick. Always have . But I'm still sad they kicked Bun out of the band. To me they've never been as good since.
"Got my Cheap Trick records out"
There's Rick Neilsen playing Marty McFly's guitar!
this is the frist time seeing rick neilson playing a es335
Same here. Lots of Gibsons over the years but not a 335. Love it.
KA All the WaY!
🏆
I think the lead guitarist favors Howlin’ Mad Murdock from The A Team. And he acts kind of like him on stage too. lol
Rick es la sal de la vida ...un arcoiris ...nada q ver a la estatua de yeso de Brian may jajaja
Opino lo mismo ,Rick es un gran guitarrista, tecladista, compositor, carismático. Las tiene todas.
Really what's up with that crowd?
Why is the audience just sitting there??
lol
I would had been dancing on that stage 😘😘😘😘😘
Because they're exceptionally well behaved?
