Very nice! I have a ‘73 Custom cherry sunburst - love Norlin era guitars. I just purchased an Orville by Gibson LP Standard with almost the same brown to yellow finish. Anyway, congrats!
Also volute started in 1969 I believe, my ‘73 has it.
I’m saving for a cherry burst. It’s far and away my favorite.

I bought an almost identical LP custom a few weeks ago Just as clean. Love it. The Volute started in 1970 and phased out in 1983-84. I have a 70 Gibson SJ acoustic that has no volute and have other 1970 Gibsons that do. the volute started small and got bigger over time. Purists tend to not like them, but I have fund it makes no difference to sound or playability at all. I love 70s Norlin Era Gibsons. It is the sound of guitars I grew up with. They are fantastic.

Owned a 74 strat since 76, in 86 some one offered to trade for a 70s gibson lp, I had 3 to choose from, didn't trade but should have!

Great buy. Fair price. I just bought a 79 cherry burst. Only diff from yours is speed knobs, yours are tophat. Mine in slightly better condition. Rock on
