Here's Ashley Marie Lucero performing Roland Dyens' arrangement of "Göttingen" by Barbara (1930-1997). Ashley recorded this piece on a 1991 Gioachino Giussani classical guitar made with spruce top and maple back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Very nice, Goettingen is a city in Germany, hmm why did she called this song like that hmm
In 1964 Barbara had a concert in Göttingen. The supposed piano was not the one she was supposed to play and she wanted to leave. But because some students helped to get her the correct piano she decided to stay and to have the concert. She stayed for a few days longer, held some more concerts and also in return she wrote the song and eventually it became a hymn for reconciliaton between France and Germany, after more than 300 years of wars.
