Here's Ashley Lucero performing the fourth movement from the "Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas" ("The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires"), "Verano" ("Summer") by Astor Piazzolla, in an arrangement for solo guitar by Agustin Carlevaro. Ashley plays on a 2020 classical guitar by German Vazquez Rubio, his "Divina" model with spruce top and Palo Escrito back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Because the dissonance introduced by her doesn't sound musical, it sounds like she is making big mistakes. Swing and a miss.

I love hearing this piece on guitar. Good job. At first the bass line was a bit anemic, but became convincing over time. I enjoyed this rendition, however, IMO this would be better on an 8 or even 10 string guitar. The dissonance isn't dense enough on a 6 string. Perhaps a different transcription could address the problem, but the density of those bandoneon chords can't really be done on a 6 string without effects, such as polyphonic pitch shifting. Which is not a good idea. Did Roalnd Deyens do an arrangement of this? I'll bet it's better than this one, if he did. Fine playing. Well on her way.
Not a fan of this interpretation. The little pauses take away a lot of the momentum and energy that the composition was ment to convey. Porteño summers are agitated, hot, busy, relentless.

It is a different arrangement than the one that is usually performed. I can agree with you, but I found interest in this version that I've never heard before.

good sound and good technique, but obviously she doesn't understand the spirit and timing of Piazzolla's music. Too many stops and out of place breaks on the melody.
