You are missing the most important part. If you check your catcher probe, it says it has found 4%. The goal is to get it to 100%, and the % of the merged blips add upp until 100%, so you have to try to keep them as high % as possible while merging, until they blip out, if they start to lower % while merging, just boost the booster signal a bit and you can keep the high % all the way. I usually keep them between 15-18% all through the merger, to not lose any outlier blip.

Lower your area, % is less accurate, the farther out the area is. Try and keep the % between 10-15% to be safe.

There's a perk under adventurer tree that increases the lifepspan of sensor pings and then stops them from going away.

Yes the actual "target" doesn't appear in the world just yet, but in the menus in the top right of the HUD there is an option to "inspect" and that will show you what it was you found when scanning. Very detailed models just like all other stations etc. Why he has the models prepared but not actually in the universe only he can answer, but they are real and available to look at.

@@THEGAMINGTECH78 yep. Got that 2x. Doesn’t push Miners guild xp tho…. I spent this whole evening grinding from ~10% to just over 50% miners T3 bar.
What is the purpose? You just made stuff disappear
There is supposed to be something but usually it’s just a place holder

A lot of systems are empty but this may come in handy in the future
@@THEGAMINGTECH78 yep. I try, sometimes get a % reading, deploy the 2nd & 3rd probes… can’t seem to get any #s to move. Not sure why. Will keep trying.thanks for great guide to try with.
I have to say this is the first bit of the game that feels poorly implimented and poorly explained.
Yeah I think there is very little need to use it to this extent yet. But maybe in the future there might be more use for it
