If you are a brand new player to SpaceBourne 2 you will want to start mining right after you repair your robot and are waiting for the raid mission to activate. You will have about 4 hours or so to start making piles of money so take advantage of this small break!

Theres no excuse for making an MMO with trash gameplay. These people dont know how to make games. Conversely, you could add multiplayer to Spacebourne 2 and it would still be be an absolute gem of a game.
I was suffering from "gaming impotence" for the last couple years until I discovered Everspace 2 three days ago (playing non-stop) and now I ACCIDENTALLY stumbled upon SpaceBourne 2!! WOW! Discovery of the year for me.
Great job in making a sane video after hours of mining.The L key turns on a light for the miner. I like to arrive at the field and head towards the sun side of the field and then every rock is brighter when I find Assorted rock.

I guess I'm stupid because this seems simple, but the instructions are so rushed I'm not catching all of the details.
I have found it easiest to whack one tunnel straight to the centre of the asteroid.
Then fire off the worms at the end of it.
You generally hit the deposit straight away with them.
Then you use the misactor laser to clear a route to it.
Then you get the whole deposit.
Not that you need the whole deposit of course...
Followed this when I first started playing helped a lot. Started a new game with ver 4.00a2. That mining ship went way up lol. Think I paid under 300k the first time. Now it's almost 2 million.
Great video. I find now that the mining ship is now more expensive by a factor of ten, so the gold grind will be longer now.
Lucky days. Bought Spacebourne 2 this week, and now I have a Hawkes guide already! Thanks for the help with NMS, SC, ED, and now Spacebourne. Best videos out there. DON'T CHANGE A THING, regardless of what anyone else says lol.
hold down both mouse buttons an unplug the mouse, plug back in and dont press any buttons as that will unset the mining :) win win

SHould I play spacebourne 1 before 2?
I mined gold last night, but I set up my mouse with an old HDD on top to hold down the right and left buttons to start the mining laser and then went to bed. Woke up about 6 hours later and had 48 stacks of gold. Too bad that game wipes are a thing with this developer (plenty of salty posts in the forums about it too) but I guess I'll use the easy money to learn more about the game.
I never had my game wiped though
Hawks, you made me a millionaire in just 5 minutes on my second day ever playing! I figured out how to stand on an asteroid and mine basic coal and Iron but I wanted better understanding on how to mine more efficiently so I found this video and 5 minutes later I hopped onto an asteroid that didn't show any signs of resources on the outside. I turned up the power on my mining beam and drilled thin long holes until I found resource, it's Asortak!!! 25k TY each! I'm still standing in front of it as I type this and afraid it will disappear if I head to the nearest station to buy a mining ship. Thanks to you, I'm guessing to stay here and get all of it that I can now that I know from you that I can carry it all even though my ship will become overloaded.
gold 2200 each, assortak 8200 each and is smaller than gold , so you can pack more, search for assorted asteroids. The ore is inside, has green colour, just find the ore inside the asteroid. Is better mine by hand than by the robot, because you cant control eficiency and power with the robot and by hand the ore goes to the cargo directly
I should have played this game when it came out. The price for this ship jumped to 2,166,275 ty. I'm guessing it would take 4 hours to mine enough gold for this ship now as it took me an hour just to get 400 gold.

Not sure when the change was made but as of today the cost of the Huqea mining ship is 1.3M (1.1M naked + 214k equipment). Naked value in the video was 0, so it will take a few hours longer to get the mining ship.

I found that raiding village from the mercenary guild and selling their loot to be extremely fun and profitable.

Well. This is without a doubt the best game tutorial I've seen.
This tutorial interesting and yes the game is buggy sometimes and you can do a lot of things to get money fast before you even finish the tutorial missions. If you have a simple sniper rifle you can land on planets and snipe villagers from distance and grab their loot when they lose the battle. A source mentionned if you kill every threat on a planet the whole settlement will be empty but actually it seems they will refill later but a slower rate. You can get nice goodies and make also some million and gear for basically free.
I will make a new character this weekend to try this what you mentionned in the video.

I just started playing, and now mining doesn't make as much, neither does running random planet floors. Maybe they just decreased most money income. since lots of people talke about how kingly rich they become fast.

Speaking of developers I hope CIG takes note of this as I really miss things from Elite Dangerous - one of several items (example night vision 🤔) like being able to jettison unwanted materials. Hopefully once ships like the Expanse are released it will PROPERLY promote Group Gameplay vs swinging a dadblasted Nerf bat at prospectors just to artificially prop up the MOLE.
Glad I am now able to support development with SpaceBourne 2, looking forward to seeing how it grows to full release. More great space games is always a good thing.
for me the mining ship kept upping in price, everytime i went out to hand mine and came back for this ship it went up a mill. anythiing i might be doing wrong? ended up paying 4,9mil for it
So actually there's a MUCH easier and FASTER way (especially since the AMOUNT of Astronium or whatever it's called got nurfed into non-existance).
You know when you buy that HUGE HAULER SHIP for 200K? Well you can IMMEDIATELY turn around and sell them right back for between 1.6 MILLION and 2.3 Million! I bought and sold those ships for about 20 minutes and I've got over $200 Million!!!

@@carlosmagnomacieira8210 It's not necessary, SB2 is not really a 'follow on' it's in it's own right a standalone game, myself, I went straight to SB2 without playing SB1, but your choice CMDR o7.

Have you seen anything about getting the upgraded, lvl 2, and lvl 3, misc laser? I'm guessing it gives you more materials per units mined, but I haven't figured out how to get it.
I have not gotten it. Seen it for sale or anything like that. Im almost lvl 4 at this point.
I don't think the dev has put any advanced mining stuff other than the misactor in the game yet. This is still in alpha development and being done by one guy.
The ships must be different depending on what system your in. The miners guild I’m in has a ship that is 1.8 million.
Will depend on your pilot's level. Likely you were higher level than I was when I bought mine.

How do you get the stuff when scrolling with the misactor? Mine doesn't have anything other than the mining lazer, if i scroll i dont have anything else, how do you get them?

How do I make the hand miner a constant beam? I have to keep clicking continually.
Aim with RMB, then u can hold LMB too...and sometimes it glitches and u only have to hold RMB

I'm not really sure what I am doing wrong but I can't find a ship at all with a misactor slot. I tried what the person in the comments said and went to that exact miner's guild and it wasn't there. I am also fairly new to the game but I went heavy pilot so I'm like level 36 pilot very early on lol but still... Were you already level 2 mining or something? Maybe that opened up new ships cause all I have available is fighters.
The more expensive fighter (carrier) from the mining guild has the slot. For some reason even the mining ships are classified as fighters.
Sadly I can not find a ship for anywhere near that cheap.

I think 1060 is recommended, and 780 is minimum.
Took me 5 hrs Rl time to get 400 gold, then when went to purchase the ship it was 2,750,000 YT not 268,000,
It was not even the same ship, it was huge, no cmk, I will see what happen in 20 more hrs .
I have now been called to do the prison break LMAFAO, the hand mining isn't very quick either, I am just heading to shed to make device for mouse that will keep both buttons pressed while i can actually some's stuff in rl, It is also very taxing 58 years hand and wrist.
That system you went is a pirate system, And my XP for mining doesn`t even show up on my screen and when i go to guild tab i have about 1/8 progression to level 2 after 5hrs lol, This is going to be a very long grind.
It does impress me the i spent 50 AUD and they have changed the game to make it a very long grind for mining , But i am not bored yet.
I can`t play Star Citizen yet because my government switched the national network onto narrow bad , Even UA-cam kicks me to the lowest res continuously.
But`s that my prob.

im getting like no gold, no where near as fast you...
The depth is not there once you start taking over systems and owning gate tax you soon realize that the 100s of 1000s on the balance tab never gets credited to your accounts (broken), having to repeatedly set up battle plans to attack stations will drive you up the wall. It would be so easy for the Dev to set this part up with templates so you don't go insane. 80% of the high lvl villages (50-61) are actually only lvl 5-9 when you get down there what a pain in the ass at lvl 25 looking for high lvl villages to raid. The tax system does not work, i own 15 stations with markets and the absurdly high taxes from sales never go to you it vanishes into the ether (broken). Trade makes no sense as it is the absurdly high value on raw materials is ridiculous it puts the Asian grinding games to shame if you know what i mean. I like the game but it is very shallow once you scape the surface and is about 5 years from it full potential. The taking over other factions and leaders is broken i wiped out a leader and you can not totally attack all their assets but you can destroy their fleets to zero but somehow they can still attack your stations with no army and in a game of $billons they offer you 50k credits for peace treaty's what a joke but when you try to negotiate peace they only except millions or systems as tribute (broken), i could go on and on and on about the rest but it is not worth the money once you realize your efforts are hamstringed to hell and not worth the effort and don't forget to save every 5 minutes or you will lose hours of superficial progress when it crashes especially crashes when you click save. It's all very good to make millions from mining but there is no economy for ore not much to spend your money on but you will blow 100s of millions on buying raw materials because the grind is utterly ridiculous. to by 5000 of each material will cost about 100 million and you will need tons and tons of mats to craft the stuff for your stations that have NO use what so ever. Sector security is a joke they do nothing but you can spend 100s of 1000s on them for some reason. Lets not talk about the brotherhood guild and that debacle.

Your level may affect the quality of ships you find and access. Some saw a ship for 1.8m(higher level)
Didnt get any laser had to buy it . Its in the cargo bay nothing happens pressing tab. This games tutorial is non existant.
