There was just something so exciting about the unorthodox way he played the QB position. It was so much fun to watch. Like everyone always says, you always felt like there was a chance for them to win with the ball in Ben’s hands. I’m going to miss him so much!
That's true and became almost a "no big thing" to be down a score with a minute 30 from their own 10, because of how true it proved. The guy was full of magic. Composure, toughness, leadership, skill, and a little luck here and there, but for 15+ years, as Steelers fans we really did always feel like the team was in the game as long as #7 was in there.

Steele's organization did their job. Surrounded Ben with constant playmakers. Hines Ward, Antonio Brown, Santonio Holmes, Health, a plethora of RB'S, killer defenses. Man we'll miss you Ben

A man like Ben gave many kids ideas and manifestations. Thank you Ben, without your performance and athleticism I wouldn’t have aspired to be a college football player that I am today!
How do you remember that game ? Lol if you’re still in college you’d be 5 at the oldest when that game was played. I was 9 and I only remember 1 season before that in 2004
Crazy that its over, like a lot of Steelers fans, including me, never wanted him to retire but good things dont last forever, I'll miss Ben, thank you for all you brought to Pittsburgh!

He certainly wasn't underrated here in Pittsburgh! Didn't matter if we were 20 points behind in the 4th ~ with him as QB, we knew we had a shot at winning!
With Ben retiring, every player from that magical Super Bowl XL run has retired. That playoff stretch has added significance to me, because watching that game is what made me a football fan. To be more specific, it's what made me a Steeler fan for life. I may not always be happy with the decisions made, but you can bet, any time a Steelers game is on out here in California, I'm wearing my Ward jersey, waving that beloved Towel, and pretending I'm at Heinz Field. May Roethlisberger live in peace, and I hope he enjoys all of the well-earned time with his wife and kids. I hope he gets to see them grow up and realize that their dad was a BADASS for the Steelers, and, dare I say it, the best QB the Steelers have ever had, and someone who should be in the conversation for top 10 *ALL-TIME* at his position.
To me on Big Ben retiring as a Steeler, I always enjoyed watching great QBs like Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Mahomes, Brees and Roethlisberger play with their best talents in the NFL. But for Big Ben and the Steelers, him growing up with John Elway, as his idol, makes him not just the modern Elway of his own but the Steelers’ Elway Star. It’s no surprise to any Steelers fan Big Ben would retire. To me however, it’s sad that without him now retired, the rivalry between him and the AFC North fades as well with the Patriots. Yes I’m a Patriots fan. But in my heart beyond being a Pats fan, I give respect to QBs that play very well in my heart. I don’t want to always disclose what team I am on. I prevent it from being worse, especially with conflicts with unknown people who could be trolls. Beyond myself, Cheers to Big Ben. Hope he has a great happy retirement.
What held him back was the injury’s he had in all his carreer, he was the most sacked QB ever. That tells you why brady is playing at 44, almost 45 and Bens gone at 39
@@wearethiss 39 isn't young though. That's pretty old for a QB. It's rare for one to play as long as he has. Brady is definitely a rare example (as was Brees).

17 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers won 2 Super Bowls with Head Coaches Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin. 2004 Offensive Rookie Of The Year,6 Pro Bowls,4 career games with 500 passing Yards,4 career games with perfect passer rating
Long Live Fat Head! Good career, Steelers were waiting for a QB since Bradshaw retired in 83. In his prime, he could rival the best with his ability to break tackles & extend plays. He won 2 Superbowls, even with Brady & Manning in the AFC.
I see all these countless comments on you Ben so I should say something. Thank you. You brought the toughness that football pines for, and broke those who came for the black and gold. Thank you brother for having us🗽🙏🏈
One of the hardest quarterbacks to sack! His deep ball always looked so effortless. This video also shows you that he had a cadre of talent to throw the ball to!
It was a privilege watching him growing up. One of the most unique QBs ever. Crazy talent, always made his receivers better, tough as nails, and clutch in big moments. It's a shame he didn't get at least 1 more ring in the Killer B's era thanks to the atrocious defense. Historic offense with nothing to show for it.
As a Pittsburghian this video brought tears to my eyes. In 2013 I had went to my first home game when we played the Buffalo Bills. I got to meet Big Ben after the game in the tunnel, he was a really nice guy. Seeing him retire in 2021 made me tear up too ngl💔
I’m proud we were blessed to have Big Ben as Pittsburghs QB all these years. Wouldn’t want anyone else as my QB growing up. In my eyes he is it, best of all time
Nearly 30 minutes to show 18 years of excellence and though he slowed the last few yrs it was a pleasure watching him shake off those defenders and throw strikes to some of the greatest receivers the steelers have ever had brown, bryant ,miller, wheaton, ward and others and great to hear tunches commentary he is missed by all
Big Ben was that dude in his prime, he's definitely going to be missed, these receivers of times past were amazing as well, we haven't had production like this from wideouts since AB left. I really wish Hines Ward had gotten a gold jacket as well, He did so much outside of just stats, one of the most impactful blocking receivers we've ever had as well as a great wideout. Coming back to this, man I have tears in my eyes. Ben's the only QB I've known and seeing that final home game hit hard. Steelers fans will miss ya Ben but know we found our guy in Kenny Pickett! Can't wait to see Ben in that gold jacket !
Big Ben is The Top Quarterback of the decade. 💯
One of the top. The number one has to be Brady.
Went to three super bowls and had the most electrifying plays in NGL history.
An amazing warrior and competitor the dude just never gave up on the team when they were down he definitely gave the city of Pittsburgh an amazing 18 years 2 rings, 165 wins, and never left enjoy retirement Big Ben
There will never be another Big Ben again 😭🙏🙏👑
One of my favorite quarterbacks ever good luck to you in your retirement
Though Big Betty Ben Roethlisberger looked bad in his last season he never played horrible before hand, Ben’s 2 rings are far more impressive than people give him credit for. The Steelers don’t win against the cardinals without him, they don’t even make it to the big dance without him. A true goat
Behind that O-line very few QB's would be able to do anything.
Gonna miss him on game day truly one if the best he was so consistently great his whole career not many can say the same about there qb and he never switched up
Well put together, so many memories I get to relive while watching
God do I miss Big Ben as far as I'm concerned he was one of the greatest QB of all time he never got the recognition he deserved. We love you Ben and we the fans well never forget you >
All these kids gawking over Josh Allen and trashing current Ben weren’t around to remember what Ben used to be. HOF 1st ballot.
Even when he was doubted and told he couldn’t do it he never took no for an answer 😤😤😤
An inspiration to us all
that throw to Holmes in the SP was literally one of the best throws of all time.. top 5 at least
Miss him. Was my quarterback for as long as I could remember. Grateful for the years we had em.
Young big Ben slinging the ball with ease. Glad I got me a #7 jersey. Thank you!
One of the all time greats for sure
I’m glad I was able to watch some great games by Ben and AB those were the days
Big Ben 2004- 2021 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🏈
17 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers won 2 Super Bowls with Head Coaches Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin. 2004 Offensive Rookie Of The Year,6 Pro Bowls,4 career games with 500 passing Yards,4 career games with perfect passer rating
18 seasons*
Long Live Fat Head! Good career, Steelers were waiting for a QB since Bradshaw retired in 83. In his prime, he could rival the best with his ability to break tackles & extend plays. He won 2 Superbowls, even with Brady & Manning in the AFC.
What a legend Big Ben is a first ballot HOF the guy was clutch in big games
I see all these countless comments on you Ben so I should say something. Thank you. You brought the toughness that football pines for, and broke those who came for the black and gold. Thank you brother for having us🗽🙏🏈
Ben was phenomenal gonna miss him
Yes I was waiting all day for this
I miss my team battling Big Ben, Jags v Steelers will never be the same
Much love and respect💓🙏
I miss him. Thank you for the memories Big Ben.
One of the best ever!!
I’m proud we were blessed to have Big Ben as Pittsburghs QB all these years. Wouldn’t want anyone else as my QB growing up. In my eyes he is it, best of all time
Dude could lead a reciever like no other.
Nearly 30 minutes to show 18 years of excellence and though he slowed the last few yrs it was a pleasure watching him shake off those defenders and throw strikes to some of the greatest receivers the steelers have ever had brown, bryant ,miller, wheaton, ward and others and great to hear tunches commentary he is missed by all
The only starting Steelers qb I’ve ever known. Proud he was our qb. Best Steelers qb and future HoF ⚫️🟡⚫️🟡
Love all our Steeler legends.
Big Ben was the true definition of a FOOTBALL PLAYER. Big, tough, gritty, and athletic. As a Cowboys fan, I enjoyed watching him play. Everybody knows the Cowboys and Steelers always put on a classic.
One of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. I have been a Steelers fan for 45 years and it was a great pleasure watching his great hall of fame career.
Thank you so much Big Ben I've been with you all all them years And one day I can't wait until I see you in Canton You had one Hella career
thanks Ben for some of my favorite memories with my Dad!
Big ben a legend on and off the field. he the clutch QB just like his lawyer
Who remembers when he had back to back 6 touchdown games?
I was at both of them!
Definitely a first ballot Hall of Famer.✌️🇺🇸
i was only just old enough to start watching and understanding football in 2006, and was in a family of steeler fans, ive been very spoiled in my fan life
Could watch these highlights all day.
