With all due respect to Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes, I'd prefer to have an 18 year Ben Roethlisberger career for a Bears QB. Don't think its gonna be Fields. Maybe one day.
I agree with you. I commented that on another video, that if I could go back and put Brady or Manning in Ben’s place for 18 years instead, I’d still want Ben. There’s just nobody in the league more exciting to watch than a younger Ben in his prime playing his unorthodox backyard style football. The way he could extend plays wasn’t seen before. Watching him for the past 18 years as a Steelers fan, there have been so many times where he DOESNT end up making the play after he tries to extend it, and every time I always thought to myself “damn Ben is tough, if he were any other QB right now they would have blown the whistle 10 seconds ago”. Because he’s Ben and he’s made so many plays like that over the years, he had that reputation and it seemed like even if there was 0% chance he gets away from the defense the refs would never blow the whistle early to protect him the way you see them end some plays for other QBs instead of letting them actually get tackled. Because of that he took a lot of abuse over the years and is the most sacked QB in nfl history. Much appreciation from Steeler Nation for putting his body on the line for us for 18 years. He’ll probably be the all time Steeler great at QB for all of my life. Thank you 7!

Yep. It was like my heart literally dropped to the floor when that happened. Going from a sure 1 yd TD with the bus and winning to get to the AFC, to a fumble and them almost running it back and winning. Just insane. From such a high to such a low within 3 seconds. Yet, Ben has given us so many wins. SO many great moments. It really was an honor watching him play. Never EVER will be another like him.

Absolutely an amazing quarterback. He was a strong, rough, tough quarterback. I remember one game when he got his nose broken. It was literally sideways on his face. He came out for one play. Just long enough for the trainer to reset his nose and he was back in. He could have had atleast another two years of playing time if he didn't get hit so much. He was just to beat up. You could see it earlier in his career when he still had some wheels on him. He used to run the ball fairly often. But when those hits started to pile up you could see his footwork slow down. Ben is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history for sure.
Just crazy and emotional to think the bus's last ever NFL play could have been a fumble to knock the Steelers out of the playoffs in a game they had in the bag, but Ben makes the tackle then they win the Super Bowl in Bus's hometown ❤️

This compilation proves that there's nothing mahomes is doing that Big Ben didn't already do but they give mahomes praise like it's never been done before
The last time I checked, Ben was sacked 554 times - the most by any QB since this became an official statistic. The Ravens alone sacked him 61 times, the most of any NFL team. And then I watch a video like this, and he was so mobile, so elusive on so many plays. (Does this mean the Steelers REALLY need to revamp their offensive line?) On a different note, I would have reversed #1 and #2, because #2 not only literally saved a Super Bowl championship, but also Jerome Bettis' mental health. But small potatoes. Congratulations and my respect to Big Ben (from a Packers fan).
A lot of Ben’s career sack total had to do with plays like this. He would try to move and create space as the play broke down, and that tends to produce as many positives as negatives.
As a lifetime Steeler fan, I was so happy when we drafted him even though most casual fans had no idea who he was. I did though - he torched us for 7 TD’s in college (UCF) just months before the draft. He really was like a man amongst boys. So sad to see him gone but so grateful for what he gave us.
Play #49. One of his best plays was an incomplete pass: T. Suggs of the Ravens HAD HIm, and yet he somehow shuffled left, switched arms, and chucked the ball out of bounds while fighting Suggs off him. I've never seena play like it.
Only big omission I can think of us his 95 yd TD to Wallace at Arizona. Even though they included similar throws to Bryant at Cincinnati and Smith-Shuster at Detroit and Denver that were as long and longer, the Wallace one broke the at the time, 30 year old team record for longest pass play
Big Ben's accuracy is 2nd to none. Almost every ball he ever threw was placed only where the receiver could make a play on it. That Super Bowl TD to Santonio Holmes is still one of the most on point, perfectly placed balls there has ever been.
Ben was the best QB to ever play for the STEELERS. I know he didnt win 4 SBs but I am talking about playing QB. None better. His competitive spirit was always there and his precision at times was incredible. He made plays as a QB that no other QB playing in his era could make (shrugging off 300lb DLmen and then making an incredible throw out of nothing. Glad I got to see his whole career. Thanks Ben!
Prepare yourself in the event it takes a decade or two to find a quality replacement for Ben. The low points of Ben's era were better than some of the high points of the 20 years prior to Ben. Ben might have spoiled us!
Watching these vids made think wow such great receiving talent as well throughout the years. Ward, holmes, brown, Wallace, heath, and even JUJU was a great #2 receiver
My 6th grade math teacher had us play fantasy football and I was that one kid who used Ben, mostly because I was into Ben 10 at the time and his name was Ben. My teacher called him Ben Worthlessberger and my classmates doubted him. Well look at him now.

And then I watch a video like this, and he was so mobile, so elusive on so many plays. (Does this mean the Steelers REALLY need to revamp their offensive line?)
On a different note, I would have reversed #1 and #2, because #2 not only literally saved a Super Bowl championship, but also Jerome Bettis' mental health. But small potatoes.
Congratulations and my respect to Big Ben (from a Packers fan).
A lot of Ben’s career sack total had to do with plays like this. He would try to move and create space as the play broke down, and that tends to produce as many positives as negatives.
#3 is always a play that sticks out to me when thinking of great Big Ben moments
In my mind he is the greatest!! Gonna miss him so much!!
As a lifetime Steeler fan, I was so happy when we drafted him even though most casual fans had no idea who he was. I did though - he torched us for 7 TD’s in college (UCF) just months before the draft. He really was like a man amongst boys. So sad to see him gone but so grateful for what he gave us.
thank you for doing this, Love you Ben
Gonna miss this man no doubt
Crazy they missed those amazing passes in the divisonal loss against jags
Ben was so great! Watched almost every game of his. Pickett shows potential to be even better!
One of the Greats! Surefire hall of famer
An amazing career 18 years in Pittsburgh.. And a hall-of-famer. This should be on NFL network top 10 Ben Roethlisberger games of all time
Play #49. One of his best plays was an incomplete pass: T. Suggs of the Ravens HAD HIm, and yet he somehow shuffled left, switched arms, and chucked the ball out of bounds while fighting Suggs off him. I've never seena play like it.
One of the QBs that can be so impressive throwing an incompletion
4:26 i miss those days when we had Bryant,Brown,Bell 🥲🥲 back when our offense was actually capable of throwing the ball deep down field 🥲
Only big omission I can think of us his 95 yd TD to Wallace at Arizona. Even though they included similar throws to Bryant at Cincinnati and Smith-Shuster at Detroit and Denver that were as long and longer, the Wallace one broke the at the time, 30 year old team record for longest pass play
nobody better ever at keeping a broken play alive....so fun to watch!!!
How can you rank them? He has hundreds that are equally amazing. Truly one of the best to ever play the position
BIG BEN, YOU WERE THE BEST IN THE CLUTCH, WILL MISS YOU
Big Ben's accuracy is 2nd to none.
Thanks Ben!
The 1 one always gives me goosebumps
Ben, simply, thanks for all you gave, on the field and off.
I've only ever known Ben as the Steelers QB. I can't believe it's over. Steeler Nation will miss him and his 🤟#ThankYou7

Prepare yourself in the event it takes a decade or two to find a quality replacement for Ben. The low points of Ben's era were better than some of the high points of the 20 years prior to Ben. Ben might have spoiled us!
Honestly he's one of a kind. Well never see this kinda plays again.
Even tho I love my Ravens, I must admit, I'm truly gonna miss Big Ben. Enjoy retirement #7!!
Ravens game were the best to watch back in the day with lewis/snug
That's an epic rivalry! Both teams might be chasing Cincy for awhile, though. We'll see.
@@jne11y amazing games to watch. Good times, good times.
Watching these vids made think wow such great receiving talent as well throughout the years. Ward, holmes, brown, Wallace, heath, and even JUJU was a great #2 receiver
Uno de los grandes. Muchas gracias Big Ben!
0:40 that throw was crazy tough, still got a spiral on it.
That number 1 play isnt just Big Bens best play or best play in a SuperBowl. Thats the greatest play of all time
So many retirements in 1 season. Ben, Aaron, and now TB!
😢😢😢😢😢 We’ll never see this again. He really was great his first time out. Then got even better.
My 6th grade math teacher had us play fantasy football and I was that one kid who used Ben, mostly because I was into Ben 10 at the time and his name was Ben. My teacher called him Ben Worthlessberger and my classmates doubted him. Well look at him now.
The amount of times he juked the camera is quite impressive

Farewell to a legend hats off to you big Ben
Lifelong Ravens fan here, Big Ben was a good one. I have fond memories of playing Madden 2012 Steelers vs. Ravens as a kid. It was always a great matchup.
Funny you should mention 2012 as it was one of the two years that Ben was unable to particapate in either matchup vs Baltimore
@@beamerball666 you know, I didn't even think of that when I wrote that comment! I guess I just remember him being on the team when I played him in madden.
The embodiment of backyard football. He was a wizard. Also had the best pump fake I've ever seen in a QB.
Forever #1 in my book. My great grandkids will be watching this video.
Suggs vs Big Ben. One of the most iconic scenes in the NFL
