I can't imagine a project of this scope with Steve Vai involved. Devin's towering angel's voice, the DTP band and the full orchestra crushing you and Vai's blistering guitar soaring over it all.
They really are incredible. I still hope to see RVP & the whole gang reunite one day to get to feel that thunder live. I'll tell you who I feel sorry for. The tympani player. She is having about as much effect as a bongo in a hurricane with RVP banging away!
I dont think so, I would like him to care his vocals, SYL need powerfull and high vocals... devin is a very good singer, but the times os SYL are ended....

Age means fuck all - he has no issues singing crazy songs, the real reason SYL is over is Devin is not the same person he was back then, hes off the drugs and booze and thats why he won't revisit it, same reason he isn't doing devin townsend project anymore.
Crust that’s probably true. Which is a shame because SYL is one of the most underrated metal bands ever and I don’t think there’s one album that’s “bad.” Imo Alien was their best but like you said, that was some bad shit.
