Thanks UA-cam algorithm for suggesting this great video to me! New subscriber earned! I'm one of those women who loves the heavily peated whisky. I tried Highland Park 12 and immediately went out and bought some of the most heavily peated stuff I could find. Now the HP sits on the shelf while I drink Ardbeg and Laphroaig. But I started with bourbon and drank that for years before trying scotch. Now I'm buying rye like it's going out of style. Each are so unique and wonderful!
Fantastic! Glad you found us. Lagavulin is my favorite of the peaty Scotchs, but I've also got quite a few Laphroaig and Ardbeg to go with them! Also the cask strength Highland Park is more peaty and smokey than the OG HP. Give it a try sometime! And thanks again for watching
If you drink good bourbon and want to try good scotch, i recommend Oban 14 or 18 if you want the smooth mouthful. I recommend argbeg if you want to try a smokey peaty campfire. Also people tend to not talk about the different drunks you get from alcohol. I have found that scotch has a very clean and nice drunk. This is because it doesn’t have any sugar in it. This also means 3 people can polish off a bottle, wake up and have no hang over.
I want to try Monkey Shoulder i hear thats a great entry point as a bourbon enjoyer and if that one still taste like a band aid too its not something that will break the bank and give it away or keep it as a mixer. Enjoying Redwood Empire pipe dream watchng this which is a great Californian bourbon with a nice fruitier pallet then most, its good.
I have tried a few bottles of Scotch and really find it off-putting. Love bourbon. This difference for me is that Scotch has an antiseptic quality that I cannot stand. Bourbon has a nice sweet cinnamon palette that keeps me coming back.
Love me some bourbon, but I tried Johnny Walker Blue Label, and wow! So good.

@@MicahByler Thanks for the rec! I'll look for it.
This was a great episode Mac! #letsholdhands (*waves to cameraman 👋😂)
Smooth and sweet! Just like you...the expert. Mother suggests that your fans might request that you wear your kilt while teaching about scotch!
This is great content Mac.
Short answer, yes. :P
