Sabaton does indeed have a tank that was gifted to them by the Swedish government. It’s essentially a modified british Centurion tank.
I believe they’ve stated multiple times it’s always fun during international tours having to explain to customs that they’re bringing a _tank_ into their country.
I can imagine:
Customs: Okay, we've got everything so far. Is there anything else you're bringing into the country.
Joakim: Um, yeah...about that. We're bringing in a World War II tank --
Customs: Wait...what? Did you say 'tank'?
Joakim: Yes, yes I did. What I was trying to say is, we're bringing a World War II tank that was gifted to us by Sweden, since we are from there, and our music is about military history. So yes...we have a tank.
Customs (in disbelief and shock): Okay...well...just make sure that you don't destroy anyone or anything, all right?
Joakim (smiling): We can do that.
The Centurion tank was part of a collaboration between Sabaton and the developer Wargaming as part of a promotion for World of Tanks and was featured only in the Primo Victoria music video as far as I know. The tank you're seeing here is a custom designed tank that's not suppose to look like any other tank, because its the "Sabaton tank". It's made of fibreglass and plastic. It's also equipped with guns that fire pyrotechnics. :)

Damn. I remember when Sabaton was just a small, local band from my hometown that nobody knew about. And now they play all around the world, loved by millions of fans.

The what? The Tank on stage is just a platform for Hannes and the drums, kinda made to look good, not based on any real tank design...
As for the Strv81 that they used in Primo Victoria video and is a tank in World of Tanks, that is Centurion mk.3....the gun is 83.4mil and, like the whole tank, is British....20pdr based on German 88mm PaK43...

I will keep saying that one of the single best Sabaton songs they do live is "Resist And Bite". Always a fun one to listen to.
Well, since they started actually playing Bach as an intro for Red Baron with a plane-piano, i think there is another contestant.
Dude, I cannot stress this to you enough. Their US tour starts in just a couple of weeks. If they're coming anywhere near you, you absolutely should go. I'll be seeing them in Denver for the third time in three years and I'm just as excited as the first time.
I will be seeing them in Seattle, Portland, and Minneapolis!

Lots of that footage is from the liberation day parade in Plzeň, Czech Republic, which actually celebrates the end of WWII.
This was filmed in Pilsen, the hometown of my university. The singer of this band is half Czech and half Swedish, as far as I understood. The concert there was truly a blast!
It was a Czechoslovakian flag. IIRC it was a celebration on the anniversary of Patton liberating Pilsen. Also fun fact; the singer is 1/2 Czech. Thanks for the upload and I hope to see more videos. Sabayon is doing an American tour right now!!! I have tickets for their Portland show and I'm so excited!!!
I was actually at the show they did in Pilsen, CZ after the rehearsals with the choir you can see at the beginning, words cannot describe how awesome that was :)
I was there too and it was totaly worth the cold I got after that show.
Cannot wait to see these awesome bastards in London next year, they are going to be fucking AWESOME!! such a great band, and so respectful to the historical events they sing about.

I have followed Sabaton for many many years now and holy hell are they just getting better and better each new album they release! Great War, Bismarck and Attack of the Dead Men are truly amazing songs on their own without any prior context (of course they get more badass when you read the history behind each songs/event).
They are touring the US this month and next month. Look up Sabaton/Hammerfall and find a date near you!

I've been to as many live shows as I can. Sabaton really knows how to engage with a crowd and the fans make it all one hell of an experience.

Always a great band. You’ve probably been flooded with all of the better songs so i’ll recomend one that doesnt get as much love cause its one of their non historical songs but is still awesome.
Metal crue.
The entire song is made up of the names of other bands who the members grew up with that influenced them and it doesnt get as nearly as much love as their newer stuff.
I'm starting to love sabaton as much as I love Nightwish, I can't wait to get the Great War album in October 🤘

Yo man, I remember being at this concert in April. It was was filmed in Pilsen, Lochotin amphitheater. It represented the 80th anniversary for the liberation of Pilsen by allied forces from the Germans. That's why they are holding both US and Czech flags. It means a lot to us that they made a video from the concert, being even better that I was there

Great song... but I got to recommend Ghost Division by them, and the Official Live Video of the song at that... one of my favorites songs by them and the energy in the crowd is amazing.
You aren't an American (Sabaton fan) untill you listen 'To Hell and Back'. The official music video is great, but other versions are awesome, too!

Sabaton also released the Great War album in "soundtrack" edition. The same songs, but played by a symphonic orchestra. And there's Floor Jansen on vocals for a moment. I liked that edition a lot, actually more than the regular edition.
Joakim, the vocalist, plays the keyboard parts in studio, even though he just sings live. Also, he’s half-Czech, hence the flag.
That was not the reason. They concerted as part of Liberation festival (celebration of the liberation of (a part of) Czechoslovakia by US army. That is why Cze and US flags.
Check out Sabaton Live in Wacken 2019. They played there over 2 Stages. Outstanding Show. You will love it. I was there. Believe me!!
Speaking of tanks y’all: In an interview Joakim was asked if it was true that they own a war tank. He just deadass looked in the camera and said “No. We got two.” So there y’all have it. Sabaton, the only band to own two war tanks.

Yes. You saw the tank. Yes this is a real tank.
As awesome as the tank is, they're not the first to do it. I know KISS had a tank on stage, with the drum kit atop it, back during their 1982-83 Creatures of the Night Tour. The cannon fired and everything. Sabaton's tank there is a bit more grounded in reality, visually, whereas the tank KISS used was more of a sci-fi looking thing with several massive exhaust pipes coming off of it and such.
If you want tanks you need to watch Primo Victoria by Sabaton. Just like Bismark, the video was supported by Wargaming (world of Tanks), Bismark was supported by the World of Warships division of Wargaming. You might also want to check out Sabaton History where they talk about the historical events behind the songs, if no one mentioned it already, all their songs tell stories about historical war events and soldiers.
