Yes james, I was surprised too! I’ve never had a generator that ran my compressor. I know you do a ton of generators, I think these are great at a fraction of the price of those small Hondas
Regarding long-term storage: I store my generator with diesel or kerosene fuel in the carburetor. To do this I drain the fuel tank and carburetor then pour a cup full of diesel into the tank an let the carb fill with this and turn the engine over a few times to suck the diesel into the carb jets and ports. DONE. Ready for long term storage. Drain the carb and tank and fill with gasoline when ready to use.
Great introduction video!!! Based on your video I purchased the Powersmart 2500 model and the 4800 model in the Wen badging. Only the Wen model was available in my area. Both are great generators and i have tested both and they are great units. Thank You!!!
@MowersNBlowers it's a Inverter generator and it runs about 60db so it's Pretty quiet still. And got it for $830 out the door with there 25% off insider Coupon
@MowersNBlowers we live in Oklahoma, the weather is carzy here. Last week we were getting 80mph winds and powerful thunderstorm. Now this week we are back in a heat wave.
Henry. I have a question for you regarding this Power Smart 2500 watt inverter generator. I live in Staten Island NY where we get occasional power outages from Con Edison, our electric company. My Frigidaire refrigerator uses 1000 watts of running power. Will this generator handle that appliances power surge when the compressor kicks in?
@MowersNBlowers Thanks for the reply. I haven't been able to find out what the power surge would be on a fridge that uses 1000 watts running. Since I'm only concerned with that appliance. I wanted to get the smallest unit that could handle the job. As far as heating backup. I have 2 18000 btu Mr. Buddy propane heaters which can maintain a reasonable temp in a power outage. Again thanks and I will probably have to go with a larger unit. I'm considering a dual fuel generator.
@@MowersNBlowers I work retail at a box store.... and I see mostly powersmart brand gets the most returns plus they have no parts to offer.... to fix their products... I have worked on many mowers of theirs.... (no parts available) Cheer

Great score. I am surprised it started the compressor with ECO on. Most cannot go from 0 watts to more then 1/2 load unless eco is off.

Definitely a great value provided they last.
I bought this engine last year and it works great, you are doing a great job, thanks for the video
It’s not an engine
It’s a good helper when I go camping. It can help me charge various devices. My friends say it’s very cool!
So many fake commenters

Color isn’t important
I need a 4500W one, 2500w is not enough. thanks
So why bother commenting? Just buy it!
It's so convenient, I like POWERSMART.
Is that a new product,i've never seen 4500W from this brand?

Both of your generators will run that compressor.

As long as you drain your carb, no need for anything else.
No oil came with this one well at least you have a big supply of oil Henry

I think the bigger one I reviewed would
Work, I haven’t tried it on a kitchen size fridge except my gas 3500w generator worked.

@@joejohnson2478 yes I wouldn’t count on the smaller one to be able to power a full size refrigerator. Get the bigger one.
Chances are got 14 gauge wires walls maybe 12 gauge yellow. 14 gauge rated like 13 amps ir so 12 up to 20 amps. Unit puts out 30 Amps in right plug.
Whatever all that means, it works well.
@@MowersNBlowers lol means generator puts out more amps wall plug
Loved the video 👍and i like this generator too.
