A great all around generator that can power the strong power tools. Get yours here: www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDCZ293H Link to the 15 amp chipper: www.walmart.com/ip/PowerSmart-PS12A-15-Amp-Wood-Chipper-Electric-Shredder-and-Mulcher-Outdoor/1061038115
From an old lady who got tired of losing her groceries to hurricane power outages, thank you for a terrific video! I had a little trouble with the choke, but that was a me thing. Started right up on the 2nd pull (bc I neglected to use a 2-step pull first time) and that roar was a welcome sound.
I picked one of these up. Love it. 1 issue i was having a heck of a time getting this to start. It was like a week wacked from hell . The fix, pulled the spark plug checked gap and was set wrong set to facotory spec gap. Boom starts up 1st pull every time now! I went 10w30 syn blend . For the $$$ noting come s close to this.
Note regarding grounding: If your generator is bonded, there is no need to ground it. If your generator is not bonded, you should not use it because a grounded and non-bonded generator can electrocute the user depending on the ground / environemental condition. If your non-bonded generator is grounded via an external ground rod and you CAN make a pathway to ground via a physical connection - YOU WILL become the ground, which can kill you.
I bought the Powersmart 4400 Inverter generator from Walmart four days after Hurricane Helene came through the Carolinas for $309. Two weeks later it is now selling for $60.00 more. Way to go Walmart. FOI. The 30 Amp plug can be professionally wired into your home panel to power several 120 Amp power needs directly in your home. There are special procedures that must be followed when doing this. This is NOT for 240 Amp needs like dryers, Outside AC units, dryers, or electric stoves.
Why did they put that odd 30amp plugin on the thing because usually that plugin is for an RV and rv plugs dont have a lock plug its 2 flat prongs and 1 round.
A single 15A tool is not a "torture test" of a 4450W generator as that only equates to a 1.8kw load. However, if you were to put a 30A load on the generator (this represents an 80% threshold load on the generator), this would better represent a torture test WITHIN an acceptable range. If you truly wanted to "torture test" this generator you would apply a 37 to 38A load as that would draw 4450W in a 120VAC CKT. After watching the remainder of your video, I can see that a light load of 15A (from your "chipper") is indeed a "tourture test" as you had to reset the breaker while using a homeowner tool. I do not think that this generator can actually provide the advertised 4450W 120VAC power it says it can. It is also quite loud too. My 9000W generator that I keep on my truck is louder, which is why I have been looking for a quieter option, but it is also more capable. I run a 240V 40A welder on my generator with ease. Thank you for the video.

Wow that is a heck of a deal. I'm looking at it right now and it is sitting on sale for $369. I think I may wait it out for a better sale.
@grandaygain Thanks for the bonus helpful info!

Thank you for all your info.
How much oil do you add?
I believe it was 20 oz, or just a bit less. I think I was saying in this video to use a soda bottle because you can see the oz on it.
times 15,000 very unique
That style of generator is low t.h.d for sensitive electronics
Total harmonic distortion?
@@Something2LookAt you are right about that
