I just bought a 2019 BMW G310R last week after passing my CMSP course here in San Diego. Went for my first rides this weekend along the coast. What a thrill! It was scary going on the main roads for the first time, and then the freeway was another experience of being “scared but excited”. I just practice as much as I can, and trying to learn more from other riders through my comments or other vidoes. I hope to help new riders out by making these videos and gaining more confidence! @@garydonaldson-yc8sp I personally like Kawasaki bikes, they seem a lot more reliable but gsxr bikes are sweet too! I would recommend sitting on both bikes to get a feel of which one feels more comfortable, plus pricing of the bike and insurance may be a factor in deciding!

F750GS, great all-purpose bike, mix between a naked and an adventure bike. Got it right after my msf course, looking at either a road king or a ninja h2 SX as a second bike. Ninjas are fun bikes. I met most of the guys I ride with at group rides and events held by bike dealerships. The main honda dealership in my city hosts an annual group ride that’s about 120-130mi and there were over 150 riders who attended with all different kinds of bikes.
Oh wow! A ninja H2 would be insane! I enjoy this bike a ton. Sheesh, I know this weekend there is an annual event of Harley riders, should be a crap ton of them. Ride safe brother!

Mine is a '23 Ninja 400 KRT. The nearest freeway for me is about 2 hours away, so I haven't been able to ride those yet. 630 miles so far around my little area of Idaho.
You have the last gen of the ninja 400, keep her forever! The freeway isn’t too bad, it’s nice when I ride on Sundays because traffic isn’t terrible. Ride safe!
Hey, congrats! I would recommend the ninja 500. It’s very forgiving, it’s got enough power and they are very reliable plus you can mod it if you are into that.
I am a new rider. I just got my permit on Tuesday. The motorcycle I’m getting is a 2024 or 25 ninja Kawasaki 650. I am a little bit nervous like curves and stuff like that and downshifting, but for the most part shifting shouldn’t be too hard because I could drive a manual vehicle, but I’m still a little bit nervous because I I rode dirt bikes when I was a kid, but this is the first time on an actual motorcycle

I’ve put a deposit for the new ninja 500 se 40th anniversary edition (I think it’s called zx-4RR in the US? I’m from Australia) - super excited for it! Should be in late July 😍 In Australia you actually need to do a basic riders course and pass before you can get your learner’s permit, then it’s 12 months of that, an advanced course, then 2 years of provisionals before you get your full licence! Jealous of the ease of getting your licence in US!

Hey, thanks for the support. I appreciate it. When I’m taking off I slowly let the clutch out and I give it a good amount of RPMs. I don’t know exactly but I give it a decent amount. Keep practicing in a parking lot or in less busy road. I’ve definitely improved a lot over the last like two months of riding!

Biggest tip for shifting less sloppy at higher rpm’s and speeds Learn how to clutchless shift your motorcycle it’s safe for a motorcycle wet clutch to do all you do is (not from first to second gear) start to put a tiny bit pressure on your shift lever like your about to shift quickly close the throttle to about half of what is it now or all the way closed depending on what your more comfortable with and at the same time shift up with your foot to slip the bike in gear. So if you want to shift as smooth as possible get the timing of that down and then start only using your clutch for as long as that takes to do (pull the clutch in quick, let off throttle and shift up at the same time slipping it into gear like you would to clutchless shift it, roll fast onto the throttle and let the clutch out at the same speed you roll onto your throttle *edits:spelling

I was told as kid. Don't have car in gear. Handbrake up. Why? Because if someone hits you from behind. Tend to press petrol and pop clutch. Hit car infront of you. It's slightly different on bike. If you like to hold clutch in for 5min. And nobody infront of you. Might be better to be in gear to get away. 🤔 My style of riding. If you can't see don't ride. Take every car as stupid. Don't be arrogant and believe you own road.
1 more hint. Ride on side of car. So if car stops and believe me. You can't stop from 0 to 100 in 2 sec. So you would fly past car and not into car 😊. Makes sense? I like to keep on right side. SA we drive on right hand side. So maybe stick on left side of cars.

I just got a R7 about a month ago as my first bike. Was nervous about riding home but wasn’t too bad after ten mins getting used to it.

Riding a ninja zx600 r still taking slow first bike and and I got my license already. I’m in California so it’s a little bit different.

Biggest tip for shifting less sloppy at higher rpm’s and speeds
Learn how to clutchless shift your motorcycle it’s safe for a motorcycle wet clutch to do all you do is (not from first to second gear) start to put a tiny bit pressure on your shift lever like your about to shift quickly close the throttle to about half of what is it now or all the way closed depending on what your more comfortable with and at the same time shift up with your foot to slip the bike in gear.
So if you want to shift as smooth as possible get the timing of that down and then start only using your clutch for as long as that takes to do (pull the clutch in quick, let off throttle and shift up at the same time slipping it into gear like you would to clutchless shift it, roll fast onto the throttle and let the clutch out at the same speed you roll onto your throttle

I was told as kid. Don't have car in gear. Handbrake up. Why? Because if someone hits you from behind. Tend to press petrol and pop clutch. Hit car infront of you. It's slightly different on bike. If you like to hold clutch in for 5min. And nobody infront of you. Might be better to be in gear to get away. 🤔 My style of riding. If you can't see don't ride. Take every car as stupid. Don't be arrogant and believe you own road.
1 more hint. Ride on side of car. So if car stops and believe me. You can't stop from 0 to 100 in 2 sec. So you would fly past car and not into car 😊. Makes sense? I like to keep on right side. SA we drive on right hand side. So maybe stick on left side of cars.
Sorry we sit on right hand side in car. It's opposite of usa. We not allowed to over take on left.
