Don't waste the money on 91 for this bike, please. All the maps and the entire powertrain was designed to work with 87. The power "gain" from putting 91 you won't even feel, if you think you feel something it is just a placebo. Multiple motorcycle dyno tuners have talked about this. Only reason to put 91 in the ninja 500 is if you have a custom tune designed to run on 91.

Had 2011 gsxr 600, traded in for 2014 gsxr 1000. Sold it 2 summers ago then after my son MotoTSJ got a bike was missing it. Since i just turned 50 figured im not gerring younger lets get another 1 one last time.

Not to criticize, but he says it has a lot of power. For The price range it does pretty good but I wouldn't say it has a lot of power it is. Lightweight handles good. It's a good commuter amount of power. But if you're. If you ever ride a six hundred and see a line four or anything bigger than that you're gonna find that bike does not have much power comparative

I think if you got a zx6r you would be more than fine. You don’t realize how fast a 600 is until you get on one. Besides you can always go and test ride bikes; whenever you want, and feel how much you like the power. (Yes I know you mentioned it in the video, still highly recommend it)

I have a Ninja 250 I got 3 years ago as my first bike. Love the thing, but I was such a n00b sending it to the mechanic for every little thing. I got a '22 Grom last year as a true toy. I've learned to wrench, tackling bigger and bigger projects like a Cush drive in the rear wheel, Decha air intake tube, rear YSS shock (need to do 30w fork oil still), DHM cam and sex machine clutch springs where the internal engine is fully exposed! And simple things like shift shaft support, axle and frame sliders, TST chain adjusters, lights. It's such low stakes, and there's sooo many videos and guides cause it's a cult classic, parts are *cheap*, my confidence goes way up! Now I'm not half bad, have some tools, I know how to diagnose a problem and both my bikes run fantastically. I've gone on camping trips, day long touring, and beginning to learn to wheelie. I'd say get a 22+ Grom (not a Z125 smaller aftermarket and community) if you want deeper motorcycle know how and want to get dirty....Then trade the Ninja for an R9. If you want ethanol free go to www.pure-gas.org their app has a map too that makes it easy to find ones near you. It's more important for carbureted bike or winter storage, but if you're concerned look into PEA fuel additive like from Redline or Gumout, again not important for a new bike unless it sits for 4+ months.

Ninja 636 Much faster! Riding position not as upright as the Ninja 500...may cause back/wrist.neck pain if you go with the Ninja 636. The Ninja 650 should do fine. I am 64 yrs old..own 2024 Ninja 500 KRT 2018 KLR 650 cammo 2023 Z125 and 2023 KLX230sm. this keeps me happy enough.............

Nice video bro, this bike is awesome, i just bought and R3 and is awesome for a beginner, i will say bro you all in US have amazing roads to rip some good bikes, so i will say to get something bigger, get and ZR-6 or R6 maybe good or even and Aprilia 660, or fuck it get yourself a ZX-10, just upload the vids, ride safe!
