Brian and Mad River outfitters thank you very much for being here I just tripped all of you on the UA-cam and I can’t believe what I’ve missed all these years I’m 67 years old and your lesson on Tippetts and hook size was just mine boggling I can’t believe that all these years I’ve missed this thank you so much for being there.Timothy Wright , Fremont NH
Love the channel Brian. Keep up the great work. I want to try my hand at fly fishing. What do you think is the most versatile, all-purpose weight rod and line type for me? I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and fish the Escambia River and delta and local lakes for redfish, spotted sea trout (or specks as we call them), bass, and panfish.
Thanks for all your videos very helpful , but I have a question about my tippets when fishing dry flys on still waters the tippets float and doesn't look natural how do I get them to sink any help would be awesome thank you
This is awesome, I had these exact same questions and jumped on youtube intent on finding answers today. Luckily I was binge watching your videos yesterday and this was suggested to me. I'm going to go pick up the Rio leader wallet and hook/hackle gauge from your site now. Also does your website offer pre-picked fly kits for target species? I think it would be great for beginners (like myself) to be able to buy a kit that comes with a small fly box filled up with tried-and-true flies for trout etc. So that it takes out the guess work of what to get. Before finding your videos I bought a bunch of cheap flies on Amazon to practice with and some "better" (more expensive) flies that came in a trout fly kit from Cabela's. If you guys do have these kinds of kits, please let me know as I'd love to pick one up and help support these incredibly helpful videos.
I just use the product card or tear the bottom info section off and put it in my wallet section perfect label and not so permanent you cant change up what you take along.
@@Madriveroutfitters it's 3-4 years old now and I guess they just break down. I know it would be difficult to do initially but companies in this industry should not be using plastic wherever possible - at least not poor quality plastic.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned - Happy 4th 🇺🇸

Do you store your leader on the reel or do you always take it off and put it back in the packet/wallet?
Please send your questions over to the shop via e-mail or give them a call and they will be happy to help/answer. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing what you do, Kevin! 👍
I would like to know where to buy nippers you use in many videos. Oval, orange thumb pad
He shops exclusively at www.madriveroutfitters.com. We can promise you that. Call him at the shop if you need!
Ugh I have the Rio leader wallet and the plastic inserts rip down the side. More useless plastic waste. I'd like a better solution.
That should not happen. Send it back to get a replacement?

We have some that are over 10 years old and no problems. Again, that should not happen.
@@Madriveroutfitters OK I’ll contact Rio and see what they think. Thanks.
