- Welcome to another episode of "Wheels Wednesdays," where we talk all about the many interesting vehicles that the San José Fire Department uses during firefighter operations! In episode eight, SJFD's Fire Captain Asha Wagner and Fire Engineer Daniel DeAguinaga show us the one and only Foam Unit, a specialized apparatus that responds to hazardous-materials incidents that require large amounts of foam, such as tanker truck spills and large aircraft fires.

Colet still active. I remember many Colet trucks back in the day.
That lightbar is a classic, Nice rig. The refinery that my brother works in had one and it had low mileage and they discarted it
“We are an all risk fire department. No matter what happens we will respond.” I love that catchphrase at the end. I wish my fire department in the Philippines just like that.
Old rig is amAZING only 8k miles on it at time of the video so amZING ❤
Thank you for making such films, and for the firefighters' work!
Wow, if I see that thing running sirens, I’m going the opposite way! Seems like they only respond to the most volatile calls!
I saw Asha in Dr.Pavels book 😊😊
This unit can use as a purple-K (dry foam) unit too?
What does SJS mean on all of your apparatus?
Was this specifically bought for SJFD or was it repurposed from another agency? Only asking because it's Yellow.
As this apparatus is over 40 years old, any plans to replace it with a new unit?
Why yellow lights
Why does this truck have amber lights or is it just red and over time it got discolored
So this rig has a siren and a Opticom but amber lights. Does it run code 3? If so its not up to CA Vehicle for an emergency vehicle. Red lenses are not that expensive.
