For what I can see you guys are the brain in the operation, but you still need a engine type hazmat for dealing with the emergency. You don't carry water, foam or other substance. You need other type of apparatus to work in conjunction with.

Good observation! Our HazMat rig has a lot of highly specialized equipment and so there is no room for water or foam. Our HazMat rig is stationed (and cross-staffed) alongside an Engine and a Fire Truck to support its operations.
I have been wanting to see this thing ever since it came out on the new deliveries list from the mfgr. 🤙🏽. Thank you guys for making the videos and taking the time.!
Do the hazmat crew enter burning buildings which involve chemical fires? And are the hazmat suits fire proof?

Great question. The "Level A" suits (the most protective HazMat suits we have) highlighted in this video offer "flash" protection; they can protect against a burst of heat (in addition to chemicals and gases), but they are not designed to withstand high heat for very long. A HazMat crew would not typically enter a building with a chemical fire, unless they can do so safely.
@ ah ok. So there’s a limitation just like any other thing we do. And does the hazmat have first aid equipment or rescue people?

@@BumberenzoTheFireTruck Yes, our HazMat Unit provides medical and rescue support, just like every other company in our department. They go on regular calls, but when there's a HazMat incident anywhere in the city, they will respond.
The way yall spelled jose made me think it wasn't the san jose in California

We see you have a sharp eye! The City of San José uses the accent mark to recognize the Spanish origins of our city's name, as well as our city's cultural heritage.
Background music was super distracting from an otherwise interesting video with good content. But the background music was completely unnecessary and too loud.

Loved hazmat training. Was a vollie for 20+ years paid 2.5.
Amazing Catch of HM29 Guys. I've been intrigued to see these types of Hazmat Trucks have a standalone response!!!
