The second one is one of my favorite movies ever. The rest of the Terminator franchise are a bit more so-so, but if you're into the setting you should definitely see all of them at least once, if just to make your opinion about them. (The series should be given a chance, but are fine to skip if you lose interest - no major new developments there.)
I've that move dozens of times but never saw the deleted scenes until I looked them up just now. Why in the world did they cut those scenes between Sarah and Reese (Also the one with dying cop)? They would have made the movie much better in my opinion.
After this comment I went and watched them too. Never knew about them. I think the only ones they should have left in were the tickling scene and the final scene showing the factory was Ciberdine Systems. The rest were kind of “TV movie” quality… yes including Kyle’s crying scene.
Kyle Reese was played by the same actor a Hicks in aliens. The policeman at the station was Lance Hendrickson ( however you spell it) he played bishop the android on aliens. The punk terminator kills to get his clothes, was bill Paxton who played Hudson on aliens.
My favorite part is that Kyle always wondered what Sarah was thinking at that moment of the picture. And it turned out she was thinking of Kyle. Lovers across time.
@SgtSteel1 I think that's the point the original Universe where she originally died doesn't exist anymore each continuous time-travel creates a new universe with the new Sarah and a new Kyle and a new John. With this version of time-travel I don't think we're ever supposed to feel peace which in a way makes sense for this universe and I also think with each continuous Universe Skynet dies a little bit more so in the end the last universe will be no Skynet whatsoever
The sweet thing about Kyle and Sarah is that he fell in love with her seeing her picture as he wondered what she thought about. When, in that moment, she was actually thinking about him and how she loved him.
The photo is kind of sweet. Kyle essentially fell in love with her over that picture, saying she seemed sad and he always wondered what she was thinking about in it. The kid took the photo when she was thinking about him. Only we the audience can make that connection.
I ADORE the ending to this movie. Sarah sees the storm coming, clearly a metaphor for the war and she rides into it because she knows she must. Badass.
It's a great metaphor as we all have those moments, nerves crumbling before a monumental task, never easy to steel ourselves and overcome. I am in such a situation now heh
What's also disconcerting is that the old man tells her there's a storm coming with a rather grim face. It's as if he also knows something really bad is going to happen, and it's not just wind and rain.
Originally, Arnold was supposed to play the good part. After reading the script, he really wanted to play the role of the Terminator. A good and important decision.
Sorta,, he was explaining everything he wanted the terminator to do. And then James wanted him to be the terminator and convinced him he would make him a star from it.
Cameron's argument was that the Terminator was supposed to look like an average ordinary guy Arnold's argument was Skynet would send back the biggest badest unit it had. Arnold won the argument
On the disc extras, Cameron tells the story of meeting Arnold. The studio was insisting that there be a name in the picture, to draw people. Cameron assumed that Arnold wanted to play the hero part. Cameron was still new, this was his first big movie, so he didn't have enough clout to tell the studio no. So, he figured the only way to keep Arnold from stealing the hero role would be if Cameron pissed Arnold off so bad that Arnold would tell the studio that he didn't want the part. Cameron said that when he left for the meeting, he told his roommate, "I'm on my way to pick a fight with Arnold Schwarzenegger." After meeting him, learning that he wanted the Terminator part, and finding how invested he was in the story, they ended up becoming fast friends.
27:38 Talk about extinct technology. That camera was a Kodak Kodamatic 960, using Kodak Instant film. Polaroid took one look at this development and sued Kodak for copyright/patent infringement. They succeeded in making Kodak Instant film as absent as the dinosaurs. By coming to terms with Polaroid and keeping Fuji Instant film a Japan-only thing, Fuji Photo Film is the last one standing.
Funny thing is that Arnold played the bad guy and went on to become one of the biggest actors in history, while Michael Bien took the good guy role and pretty much never went anywhere. Sorta like Mark Hamill with Luke Skywalker.
You're spot-on about Kyle not having seen the world like this. There's a deleted scene where he has a bit of a meltdown about it. Totally worth looking up. And since I know you've seen the sequel it's safe to say there's also a deleted scene at the end of this one that shows that shows that the place Sara crushed the terminator was actually Cyberdine who would go on to make Skynet. So _both_ John and Skynet wouldn't have existed without this time travel. It's a real chicken-and-the-egg puzzle.
My favourite thing about this movie is that it's a *closed loop* . The sequel opens up a whole can of worms, but this movie works perfectly with the time travel creating a closed loop of causality where everything checks out.
@@trequor how? the future that couldn't have existed in the first place changed the past to create itself... that doesn't check out. the past should not be dependent on the future. aka effect before cause.

@@hzhang1228usually, when there's a paradox like this, I feel the easiest answer is that before the paradox occurred, things were slightly different. Skynet was created by SOMEONE. SOMEONE conceived John with Sarah. Judgement Day happened and John ended Skynet. When Skynet tried to change the past, and John sent Kyle to stop the Terminator, they set the paradox in motion and this timeline is how things settled out.
@@VanDavis you're thinking very linearly. With a timemachine, causality no longer works. Your future self visits you and tells you the winning numbers for this month's lottery, you get rich, go back in time to tell your past self the numbers. Where did you learn about the numbers? Same thing here. Kyle was always sent back, and he was always the father.
OH the Terminator endoskeleton is one of the all time BEST sci-fi props ever... Soooo compellingly realistic... you'd believe it was there the whole time after seeing it after the tanker truck explosion.
I always get this hilarious picture in my head of Sarah getting away from the terminator without crushing it. There's half a robot, crawling down the side of the interstate at 9 in the morning, looking for Sarah who's on a plane to Omaha or wherever.
“How could anyone elect him after seeing this?" Hey, Cameron's first choice for the Terminator was O.J. Simpson, but ironically, Cameron didn't think he'd be believable as a killer cyborg because of his public persona where he was seen as such a nice guy. lol 😂
I'm thinking Cassie means "elect him governor of California", not "cast him in this role instead of the director's favorite actor". It's simple. After a couple hundred nobodies got on the recall election ballot, Arnold tossed his hat into the ring, somebody coined the title for him as "The Governator," (ie, an unstoppable machine), and the rest was history.
Good question. I live in California and I voted for The Terminator. It was a cool thing to do at the time, but Arnold turned out to be a lousy governor :(
CASSIE has seen ALIENS before watching TERMINATOR but didn't realize Hicks from Aliens is Kyle in Terminator 😂 At 28:34 she says she doesn't who the guy played Kyle is.
The sequel, Terminator 2, is hands down one of the best action movies ever made. Takes the basis of The Terminator and builds on it in a way that is utterly incredible and surprising. You will love it.
Exactly. multiple paradox's in this movie. Kyle will exist even though he dies in the past. John knows that not only does someone have to go back in time to protect Sarah in order for John to even exist, but it can only be Kyle. Also John, being the first iteration in his existence overall existence, knows that he will be created again while he still actually lives his current life. AND if John makes it to old age (and events repeat themselves as they would have to in at least one of the possible timelines), he would know that there is likely three of him in existence concurrently. AND this would require J1 to now conceal his identity from J2 and all who may know him, so that J2 can organically arrive at the right decision that allowed him to exist at all. I'm sure there are more paradoxes to consider if I put my mind to it, but it's already making my head hurt.
@@spartanical my question always is this... how was john ever born from sarah before kyle reese shows up? think about it, john is born in the 90's kyle reese isnt even originally born until after the year 2000 something.. and john sends him back. HOW was john ever originally born before kyle was every originally born. does that make sense? use yourself... say your dad comes back in time to sleep with your mom because you sent him back but your dad isnt even born until 2030... how do you exist now then????
@@corygallimore809 Good point, I guess when the terminator goes back in time and John sends Kyle back after him, they create a new timeline where Kyle becomes the father to a different John Connor, They do stress that the future in not fixed and so maybe "Beta John Connor" is not heading for the same future. Things do seem to play-out somewhat differently in the other films from what's described by Kyle in this film. Btw, John was born in 1984 (when this film takes place) or maybe 85 depending on what time of year this is. Kyle wound have been born in the 2000s. Which would make John about the same age as his paternal grandparents!
@@pmickeyny6002 new time line, or "beta john" or not, still doesnt explain how the FIRST john was ever born. "He's gonna kill them in 3, 2, 1..." "I'LL BE BACK." *Cassie smiles* Even if this is her first time watching the movie, she knows an iconic line when she hears one. 😆😆
One of my absolute favourite things about this movie is that Reese fell in love with her from her legend, but also from looking at the picture and wondering what she was thinking of, and what she was thinking of, was him. It will scramble your brain for sure, but it's so sweet and sad!
Something subtle that most people miss. Kyle says “I always wondered what you were thinking about in that moment” talking about the picture of her that John, his son, gave to him. When the picture was taken she was thinking about their love. Great story telling...
'Terminator' is a perfect great 80s action movie, but honestly I feel like its true purpose was to set things up for 'Terminator 2', which is one of the greatest action films of all time (and was made in the early 90s with much better special effects technology, a bigger budget, and a better soundtrack). Also, Michael Biehn (who played Kyle Reese) is one of the most underrated actors of all time.
As far as I know, the scenario of T2 was originally intended for T1, but they just couldn't make it this way due to technological limitations. If you look closely, the main plot line is basically the same between T1 and T2, so it could be considered as a remake.
Terminator 2 is a kids film.. There's no threat. T-1000 looks good but Arnold had the presence and look in the first movie to make him more menacing and way more of a threat.
@@philipwaller9477 This one was better. Second one was flashier, and much more 'Hollywood', but too much so, at the expense of a soul. My theory is Schwarzenegger was too much of a star, and an ego, by the time of T2 to leave his ham-fists off the story. So he's back, but he's the hero (made no sense), spouting every cliched one-liner in the book (just the sort of thing 'Ahnold' would think was the coolest, cleverest ever). The kid was annoying. And they all lived happily ever after (complete with corny 'thumbs up' heroic sacrifice by the big meathead). Pure cheese. It wasn't terrible, but 'the best ever' is way too much.
Exactly. Michael Biehn was great in Tombstone as Johnny Ringo, and as a Navy SEAL commander in Navy SEALS with Charlie Sheen, in the Abyss with Ed Harris and The Rock with Sean Connery.
I agree with some of your other viewers. "How could anyone every elect him after seeing this" has to be the best line I have every heard during a movie reaction. You are so sweet, it is adorable.
“How can anyone elect him after seeing this?” 😂😂😂😂😂 That has gotta be the funniest thing I’ve heard this year. And Demolition Man is another good scifi watch, that one with Stallone & Snipes.
Fun Fact : The post-apocalyptic scenes were actually shot in my town in northern England. They had to clean the place up a bit first but I think it looked pretty realistic.
I always tear up at the end when it’s revealed Sarah was thinking about Kyle when her picture was taken. Kyle spent years looking at it and never knew. 🥲
This was the best reaction to this movie I've ever seen. You were right there with Sarah, feeling everything she was feeling, literally beat for beat, and that was amazing. Instead of being all cynical about watching "some old action movie", you suspended your disbelief and just took the ride. I've never seen anybody else do that before. The Terminator is one of the best, and so are you. So, from now on, every time you post a reaction...I'll be back. :)
"How could anyone have ever elected him after seeing this?" Not trying to request a movie or anything, but watch Twins with him and Danny DeVito. He really is an unbelievably charming man when he's not being told to terminate Sarah Connors.
"Twins" was awesome, and I really liked him in "Kindergarten Cop," as well; his chemistry with Pamela Reed (playing his police officer partner), and Linda Hunt as the school principal, were awesome (and the kids were just hilarious).
@Speaker of Thoughts, Free Speech Advocate My wife and I use that line a lot, usually in relation to some spot, headache, or illness which crops up. Imagine our surprise when one of the things DID turn out to be a spot of skin cancer. I'm all right, though...got it taken care of.

@@harrybetteridge7532 Still decent person now. He could stay quiet about everything that’s going on and he puts himself out there. All things considering, he wasn’t that bad.
Fun trivia: Prior to being cast as The Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger watched Westworld (1973), and was amazed by Yul Brynner's performance as a robot in the film. During their first meeting, Schwarzenegger talked to James Cameron about how The Terminator should be played and that whoever plays it shouldn't act like a machine, but be a machine. This convinced Cameron to cast Schwarzenegger as The Terminator.
My favorite thing about this movie is that Kyle spent his life wondering what Sarah was thinking about in that picture, and he never knew that what she had been thinking about was him.

The police lieutenant believes him! In a scene that was cut, it shows the dying lieutenant giving Reece his gun, telling him to keep Sarah alive at all costs.
Then there's the deleted scene where the PCB gets nicked and sent to R&D, with the closing shot showing us the final confrontation took place in a Cyberdyne-owned facility.
I always love that moment in the hotel right before the terminator shows up, when Kyle smiles, honestly that may have been the first time he has ever done that when you think of his history. Kinda sweet non verbal storytelling.
You know Cass, the most beautiful and melancholy moment in this movie is that ending. Kyle told Sarah that in the picture that John gave her she looked sad, and he always wondered what she was thinking. The ending shows it. She was thinking about you Kyle. She was sad because she lost you. He could never know that and she'd never be able to tell him. 😢
This is a testament to James Cameron's brilliant writing and one of the reasons why i think The Terminator is a better movie than any of the sequels including T2 (which i still think is brilliant)
I was 14 when this came out. For the day it was pretty good special effects. I remember being freaked out, especially when the terminator was removing the bullets from itself. I've seen all the terminator films all were pretty enjoyable. Great reaction!
"Aliens" was James Cameron's next film after "The Terminator." Several actors from "The Terminator" appeared in "Aliens", like Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton and Michael Biehn, who played Hicks in "Aliens" and Kyle in "The Terminator".
I love how Cassie reacts to the machines ("are they alive?") as if she's living in the 80s. You're phone can talk to you, we have self-driving cars (ok ok...not yet perfect ones), AI beats us in strategy games, drones kill people on command...it's not science fiction anymore.
@@RobertMcPhalen It's kind of a philosophical question, but we seem to be on the path to a similar future with an AI becoming self aware and spreading through the internet aka "Skynet".

It's sweet that she was thinking about Kyle when the picture was taken. He had always wondered what she was thinking about when it was taken. She was thinking of him
Which was even funnier when remembering how Arianna Huffington made fun of Arnold during the recall debate for smashing Kristianna Lokken's head into a toilet in Terminator 3 and he still got elected over her
I just discovered this channel today and I am hooked. I've watched like 6 of these in a row so far and I love Cassie, she's super funny and really smart. It's impressive how often she calls out the plot before it's revealed.
The original Terminator was considered a low budget film- costing around 7 million dollars at the time it was made. That is why the terminator chassis stop motion at the end looked a bit cheap. They probably couldn’t afford to shoot the effect at the full 24 frames per second to make the animation look smoother. Terminator was a low budget flick, and its sequel, Terminator 2, was (at the time) the most expensive film ever made. The technological innovations in T2, by ILM, led directly to the tech needed to make the CGI dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.
In the 80s as a kid that unstoppable stop motion Terminator "skeleton" closing in terrified me. Of course this generation grew up in Cgi ocean. They used stop motion for Star wars imperial walkers and the last battle of the Thing movie. But sadly it was cut short. Also terrifying.
@@riveraharper8166 I agree. You may have been like me, growing up watching Harryhausen. Stop motion was real to us. Even not at a high frame rate, it was more believable than most the CGI that came after this movie.
@@naldow8555 don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with the stop motion. It is just that out of the rest of the film, it suffers the most because of their budget constraints. If the budget had been higher, they could have had more time animating. Time is money, especially for animation.
@@dje6719 No, that was Bill Paxton who played Private Hudson, who made that line. Corporal Hicks from Aliens is played by Michael Biehn who also plays Kyle Reese.
"He just killed him! Is he a bad guy?" Yes, yes he is ... And yes, we still have phone books. I get an updated one every few years. My number is unlisted, though. As for not liking the music, it set the ominous mood for the film. This was basically a horror film masquerading as a sci fi jaunt. And this movie was such a hit, that there was a company that made sunglasses that kicked themselves. They turned down having their product in this film, and Oakley stepped up. They sold a bunch of shades after this film became a hit in the theatre and on home video. Edit: I will add my voice to those who say that you should watch the 2nd film, then stop.
Terminator 3 has one of the best motorcycle/car/truck/crane-with-wrecking-ball chase sequences ever. Worth watching just for that scene alone. There are some pretty great, quotable lines, too.
I recommend watching the DVD of this with the original Mono audio track enabled if you ever get a chance (not as a reaction video of course, but just on your own). A lot of the sound effects were changed in the Stereo remaster, and the music was made less subtle. The original Mono audio brings the film to another level, feeling darker and grittier.
Oh, and also, all of the HD versions have a subtle green tint added to them which IMO is outright ugly. That also makes the DVD version worth watching at least once.
The heartbreaking moment for me is that Reece has spent years wondering what sara was thinking about in the picture and at the end we find out she was thinking of him.

Kyle Reese was played by Michael Biehn who was also in other James Cameron films -- Corporal Hicks in Aliens and The Abyss. Bill Baxton (one of the punks at the beginning) was one of the Marines in Aliens, and Lance Henriksen (the second senior police office) was Bishop in Aliens. Interesting fact.. I actually love this techno music, even more than the sequels. It’s so distinctly from this bygone age during the ‘80s and perfectly befitting the bleak post nuclear robot apocalypse feel, yet also working perfectly with the chase scenes through late night LA where you get the desolate sense that even though there are other people around they largely don’t care.
Also, in 1984 it didn't sound as much like video game music to general audiences because home video game systems weren't as widespread yet; the NES didn't even launch in test markets in North America until a year after this movie hit cinemas, for instance. Earlier systems like the Atari consoles had even simpler chiptune music.
The craziest thing about this movie is that Skynet created itself as well as John. Skynet sending the Terminator back into the past was how skynet was created in the first place, from the remains of the Terminator. John was only ever born because Kyle was sent back to protect Sarah from the Terminator. Its the Terminator paradox.
As much as I love the second movie, it really messed up the whole series. The whole point of the plot in the first movie was that the future couldn't be changed. T2 changed that and made the Terminator universe have time travel more Back to the Future style. The recovered terminator wasn't how Skynet came into being, it just jumped Cyberdyne's tech forward faster than it developed the "first" time, according to T2's logic. Like I said, I love T2, one of the best action movies of all time, but it's plot is one of the biggest reasons why all the sequels didn't measure up to the first two, in my opinion. If they had stuck with the time travel logic of the first movie, I think it would have been so much easier for the writers to make progressive sequels leading up to the end of the war with the machines.
@@RikoguSnow Hmm i don't know. It wouldn't have been Skynet if they hadn't used the remains of the first terminator. There is no evidence to suggest that Skynet would have been created without it. If there was some sort of A.I created without the remains of the first Terminator there is also no evidence it would have become self aware. The problem is, was the plot of T2 the actual plot of the story from the start or was it thought up after the first movie. Because there was no book the movie was based on its hard to know the writers intentions. It was a rip off of an outer limits episode which was an adaptation of a short story called Soldier from Tomorrow.
@@RikoguSnow Actually there’s a cut scene from the original Terminator movie where Cyberdine staff hide the terminators remains from the police. @@tommagiatzis5862 I'm not sure if you are trying to argue against my point or not, but regardless of whether or not you factor in the deleted scene that doesn't change my point at all. With or without the deleted scene, everything in the first movie suggests that the timeline could not be altered with time travel.

This is my first reaction of yours that I'm seeing, and you are such a gift to filmmakers! Your willingness to invest, to immerse in the story and feel what the characters are feeling - even if sci fi is not your thing, even if it's from 1984 and shows its age in the technical aspects - is awesome. I'm looking forward to more.
Brings me such joy seeing a first time viewer connect the dots in movies that I've seen countless times since I was a kid. Can't wait for your T2 video!
To anyone confused about how the time loop started: the Artifical Super-Intelligence was always going to get created, maybe not named Skynet, maybe not created by Cyberdyne Systems but created nonetheless. Maybe the leader of the resistance wasn't called John Connor, maybe the humans weren't even winning the war before the time loop started. We know Kyle was in a concentration camp, we know time-travel is impossible for anything but organic material, maybe Kyle, the first Kyle, was the first guinea pig sent back in time by "Skynet" or whatever it was called in the first iteration, just as a test. Kyle meets Sarah Connor in 1984, they fall in love, he tells and convinces her about the war, they make sexy time and create the first John and both of them raise him to be a leader, without a Terminator hunting them. Then the nuclear war that was always going to happen happens when the first ASI is created and they die. The first John knows where Kyle is located, finds and frees him (remember he knows about the barricades and how to storm them) and leads humanity to defeat Skynet, eventually ending up at the time travel machine. This time though, as an act of desperation Skynet sends the Terminator to kill Sarah, John sends Kyle back and the first time loop happens.
Lucky, this is my favorite movie of all time. I used to ride a big wheel in preschool and pretend I was Arnold. Must have been amazing to see in theaters. Sadly I wasn’t alive to do it
Michael Beihn is great at playing that character. Terminator, Navy Seals, The Abyss, Tombstone.... the more you watch, the more you'll see him and how good he is as a B actor.
Don’t forget Aliens as well. I first saw him in The Fan with the legend herself, Lauren Bacall. If he could hold his own sharing the screen with one of Hollywood’s immortals then you knew he was gonna be top class in his own right. 20:00 Welcome to the concept of the Bootstrap Paradox. Yes, John always knew that Reese was his father. Of course, Reese was about twenty-five years younger than him, which was a bit freaky for him, I imagine.
Congratulations, you have just watched the greatest science fiction movie ever. At least that's what I thought when I saw it in the cinema in 1984. Loved your reaction ! BTW some of the effects look a little weak in 2021 like the stop motion Endoskeleton but in 1984 they were the best possible, created by the late great Stan Winston.
24:32 Fun fact, that shot of the Terminator rising from the flames was in fact the nightmare that James Cameron had while he was brainstorming movie ideas. He saw a machine, not of this current era, rising from hell and getting ready to slaughter him. He woke up and he was inspired to write the script for this movie.
That happened when he got sick with I think malaria will finishing piranha 2. He had almost nothing to do with that movie. However, the contract specified the movie needed an American Director. He was kind of just there. if it wasn't for that crap fest movie there would be no Terminator.
Terminator's power source could keep "him" functioning for many years (as per the novelization). Odds are, one way or another, "he" would catch up to them even if they chose to flee to Outer Mongolia. 😕 🙂
13:27 Its funny you should say that Cassie, cause in a deleted scene, right after they escape from the police station and wake up the next morning, Reese has a mental breakdown after seeing what the world was once like. You called it right.

In a deleted scene he breaks down crying because the world was so beautiful. He wasn't used to it.

It's paradoxical, that was the only thing I never liked about this.

In all my years as a fan I never put those details together.
Sarah also must really love him too, she did the dirty with him after wearing bum pants for the whole time.
Pretty sure Sarah can make that connection as well.

Originally, Arnold was supposed to play the good part. After reading the script, he really wanted to play the role of the Terminator. A good and important decision.
Sorta,, he was explaining everything he wanted the terminator to do. And then James wanted him to be the terminator and convinced him he would make him a star from it.
Cameron's argument was that the Terminator was supposed to look like an average ordinary guy
Arnold's argument was Skynet would send back the biggest badest unit it had.
Arnold won the argument
@@jamesricker3997 Glad he did! I mean, if there ever was a killer robot motherfucker, it might as well look like an Austrian hunk of meat
Cameron said that when he left for the meeting, he told his roommate, "I'm on my way to pick a fight with Arnold Schwarzenegger."
After meeting him, learning that he wanted the Terminator part, and finding how invested he was in the story, they ended up becoming fast friends.
And OJ Simpson was supposed to be the bad guy but Cameron said he didn't see him as a killer 🤣

Predicts John's crazy paradoxal conception
And a bunch of stuff that hasn't happened yet which I won't specify!
Exactly. multiple paradox's in this movie.

Things do seem to play-out somewhat differently in the other films from what's described by Kyle in this film. Same thing happens in “Somewhere In Time.”
Something subtle that most people miss. Kyle says “I always wondered what you were thinking about in that moment” talking about the picture of her that John, his son, gave to him. When the picture was taken she was thinking about their love. Great story telling...
Same thing happens in “Somewhere In Time.”
Who would miss that?
Second that for Michael Biehn. It was great to see him in an episode of The Mandalorian, season 2, episode 5, The Jedi.

"Its so weird anybody could just see your address?" You realize that you can do the same thing with Google, right?
I think he knew somehow, it's why he was drawn to her in an instant.
"He's probably never had a cheeseburger" That's why we're here - top commentary!
In one of the deleted scenes, Sarah tells Kyle exactly this -- except it's a hot dog instead of a cheeseburger.

Arnold was originally sent the script and asked to play Reese. In a brilliant decision he asked to play the machine.
I totally agree. The soundtrack fits this movie like a glove. Brad Fiedel did a great job in creating this dystopian sounding score.
It's too good and creeped her out!
80s Sythwave. Can't beat it.
Exactly. This movie and Escape From New York proved you didn't need traditional orchestra themes to create memorable music.
You’re right about the double paradox. That’s the genius of the writing.
@@RikoguSnow Actually there’s a cut scene from the original Terminator movie where Cyberdine staff hide the terminators remains from the police. The paradox of Skynet being created from the Terminator’s remains were in the first movie but cut only because its timing drew focus away from Sarah’s triumph;
@@tommagiatzis5862 I'm not sure if you are trying to argue against my point or not, but regardless of whether or not you factor in the deleted scene that doesn't change my point at all. My point was that T2 established that recovering the terminator remains jump started technological advancement. With or without the deleted scene, everything in the first movie suggests that the timeline could not be altered with time travel.
For the love of god if you end up watching the sequel, it's critical that you DON'T watch any trailers! Go in as blind as possible, and you're sure to have an incredible ride :)

Your willingness to invest, to immerse in the story and feel what the characters are feeling - even if sci fi is not your thing, even if it's from 1984 and shows its age in the technical aspects - is awesome. Best thing Arnie ever did . Being a robot with few lines was perfect for him at the time
To anyone confused about how the time loop started: the Artifical Super-Intelligence was always going to get created, maybe not named Skynet, maybe not created by Cyberdyne Systems but created nonetheless.
