@@TheMarrowMan But St Patrick's Day made the notion of the Four Leaf Clover popular to non-Irish. That's not taking away anything from the symbology of the Three Leaf Clover.

Passion and emotions are the right description for 80s music. Great productions by real musicians, strong melodies and harmonies, excellent instrumentation and music arrangements set a high standard
'Shout' was a song they did from the same album, that was later covered by Disturbed in 2000. 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' is another one, and used to be used as intro music by the Dennis Miller show on HBO in the 90's. 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' is a later song of theirs.

I agree about 80s music being more passionate. That decade was about romance, passion, and finding the true love of your life. And all of this comes across in the music.
Tears for Fears is one of the 80´s faces, a mix of British rock and new wave, since 1981. They have great songs ans many success, as Mad World, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Break it Down Again, Woman in Chains, etc. Great band, certainly,, thank you Inna by react.

Inna, a "Four Leaf Clover" is traditionally a symbol of good luck. It comes from the Irish culture and lore. Finding or "walking over" a four-leaf clover is thought to bring good luck. A clover is a plant or a grass.
Clovers usually grow with three leafs, and it is very rare to find one with four leafs, so it's traditionally considered to be a sign of good luck and fortune to find a four leaf clover. I think this extends across several cultures, but for some reason I don't really know why, it's commonly associated with Irish culture, and leprechauns, or whatever.
"Shout", "Sowing The Seeds Of Love", "Everybody Wants To Rule The World." My favorite '80's band. I just saw them in concert last year. Still going strong! They put out a new album called, "The Tipping Point." Quite good...
The four-leaf clover is a rare variation of the common three-leaf clover. According to traditional sayings, such clovers bring good luck, though it is not clear when or how this idea began.
A four leaf clover is good luck Clover grows close to the ground in grassy areas. Most clover has three little leafs....some have four but not as common.
Love your chair dancing Inna! I was dancing along with you. This music you just can't help but move too. It's almost like you were from that music era Inna!

Hello Inna, You can't imagine how happy I am that someone from your generation is interested in Tears for Fears. Roland Orzabal is an underrated singer like many others. I place him with Jon Anderson (Yes), Greg Lake (King Crimson & ELP), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Steve Perry (Journey), Brad Delp (Boston) Steve Walsh (Kansas, Steve Hackett and several others) etc.. . Roland Orzabal is at the top of his art on the album The Seeds of Love, particularly in the song Badman's Song where he pushes very high notes for the time. For me, it's the cult Tears for Fears album. Like Selling England by the Pound by Genesis, Aqualung by Jethro Tull, Close to the Edge by Yes etc.
Tears for Fears Mad World and Pale Shelter from 82,3 were their first main hits. Everybody wants to rule the world, shout and head over heels from 1985 were awesome. They continued into the late 80s. My favourite album, Songs from the Big Chair. Unforgettable driving in the car with a cassette of this.
This is the greatest band of all time. The way these two can make a hit without any real vocal skills, or playing anything intricate on instuments. While only having 3 top 10 hits. It doesnt matter they never made number one. Absolutely incredible.
The song is simply about the man's confusion over being "head over heels" in love with a woman who want's nothing more than a physical relationship with no emotional ties. But he's being honest and telling her what he wants, laying it all on the line and leaving it up to luck (thus the 4 leaf clover reference towards the end)
I was 8 with this came out. 80's was the era of ballads and fun. Great great music. I think the 90's maybe early 2000's was when music was good. You tapped into a good band here.
