I have 3 ET watches with blued hands. Maybe he changed up this time but he has always used heat blued in the past. The orange on the strap is an homage to the pilots' jackets which are bright orange on the inside to be turned inside out for rescue visibility. Another great ET. To me they are always on sale. LOL. Thanks for the review!
Interesting about the orange. Hadn't heard that before. As for the hands, yeah, I've had quite a few with the blue hands and these just seem different for some reason 🤷. They still look good, though
I prefer the older version - the bicompax with the deep black dial as opposed to the matte dial version or this offset one. And yeah, the blued hands were such a distinctive feature for the older ET watches, I have three of them - the NH35 Type B, the chrono-flieger, and the VH31 dress watch, all having blued hands.
Thx for the review. This time I like what they did : no date, removing one subdial which brings to not knowing we have quartz, removing the brand, engraving the caseback. It would be perfect with a plexi or an ar coated glass.
Looks like a good buy, top to bottom. I like the de-cluttered look with the one subdial, and that it's unbranded without looking "sterile" on the dial. And...strapdiesel DAMN. Great review as usual!
This is a hommage to STOWA Klassik Chrono except the minute-Dial of the chrono is located at 9 instead of 3 - for the price very nicely done. btw: I just ordered one. 🙂
Very nice watch, excellent review and very good price. The case looks exactly like the case on my Addies pilot watch which is good as it really is very comfortable and despite the longer lug to lug it really doesn't feel big. Good watch. worth consideration.
Looks like a good grab and go watch. I was surprised that the subdial has no lume because their other chrono has lume on both subdials. Escapment Time has been making some strange choices lately. They changed the dial on the pilot's chronograph from nice deep black to a less attractive matte black. They changed their best-selling pilot's watch from an automatic to a quartz watch. In both of these watches, they changed the beautiful heat treated hands to cheap looking plastic ones. It seems to me that in the beginning they made a reputation as the best cheap flieger you can buy and now they start cutting costs to save and earn as much as possible. What a shame.
It may be that he's cutting costs to stay at a level price bracket as well...raising prices is never a good look. But that's what is happening globally. Who knows. I really don't think his choices are necessarily bad, but we all "want it all" 🤣
Aft adjusting the main Chrono hand, did the minute subdial become off by a minute? I wonder if you can use the bottom pusher to reverse the adjustment?
So when advancing the Chrono second and all the way around, yes, the minute hand advances too. But with the crown in, the bottom button resets it to zero. Bottom pusher doesn't do anything when in the time setting position.
ET is a brand i like even just for the movements they're using, plus their clean elegant design and quality. But... this is a chrono (you know me Steve, sorry...). Thanks mate, be well, cheers.
Glossy black looks great, but reflections are an issue, they were on my last pilots watch from him as well. Kinda ruined the watch for me after a while.
I think escapement time has been downgrading its quality. I have the old bi compax, piano black chronograph with 100m WR and C3 Superluminova. The it changed to a matt dial and 50m WR and now it doesn't have blued hands and the dial doesn't look as good. The quick release strap is a good detail tho.
@@EscapeWheel I think it is due to supply issues. When lockdowns were at its highest laast year, he closed the store. I wish I had bought the PT5000 42mm flieger when it was available.

I was torn between this and the corgeut parnis 43mm flieger, especially the diamond crown one and black pvd. Ended up with the corgeut black pvd

I really appreciate you showing prices in different currencies.
I'm glad it's appreciated. Wish I could get it more accurate and include taxes/vat bit it's just not a simple task.
Nice watch...I would actually wanna see it on that orange color leather strap

Thanks, Brian. I can see the resemblance of the cases for sure 👍

Painted blue hands colour are not close to the heat treated ones.
Make them white unless treated.
Great watch from one guy
Yeah, these seem off even from his previous watches. Maybe a cost cutting measure to keep it affordable in this ever-inflating market 🤷
Pronounced 'Fleager'. Fun fact. Escapement time is a one man band. His day job is a train driver.
belle montre, un cadeau pour ceux qui n'aime pas les montres automatiques. Cette version allégée d'un cadran est une bonne idée.
ce serait un super cadeau. Merci d'avoir regardé.

this may not use heated blue hands
by the way, can you review hruodland new dress quartz chronograph watch?
i'm really curious about that watch
Yeah, I think they are painted.
I'll see what I can do about the Hruodland, it does look nice. They have refused to work with me in the past, though.

Just let it happen, Stavros...learn to love 🤣
@@EscapeWheel That was yesterday (st valentine's...), today i stopped, back to normal for me 🤪🤣
Really a shame they didn't lume the sub dial & no proper blued hands :(
In my opinion the Miyota 6S21 are superior to the VK64 you see a lot recently as the latter don't have a running second hand.
Yeah, I actually like what it offers. The fine adjustment of the hand is great. And the buttons feel just as good as the VK.
YOU NEED TO ORDER MORE STRAPS BRO, YOU PUT THE SAME STRAPS IN ALL WATCHES
I like it. Great video.
Thanks for the visit
they need to put glossy black

seems to be. I wonder if he's doing it to line his pockets or if he's doing it out of necessity to keep his prices down in this ever inflating market?
