Please do not take this comment as a complaint. You are my go to for recipes and I have never had a fail from your instructions. I am a by weight baker because ingredients can vary when using volume. I would appreciate the weight of the ingredients rather than the volume. I do not care if it is pounds and ounces or grams. Of course once I make the recipe, I can record the conversions on the recipe. I also have found that the internal temperature of baked goods is a better gauge doneness than using a toothpick or touch. I have been using an old dial thermometer, but recently acquired an digital one that gives almost instantaneous temperature and has light and hold button which makes it easier to use in a hot oven. I got one on Amazon for about $12 with a longer probe of about 6" which is easier to put into bread and 6" cakes.
Hi Sam wow this look great I’ve been looking for a good cake pop recipe my kids love cake pops from star bucks but I wanted to learn to make my own know I can with your easy simple to follow recipe thanks always injoy watching take care
I'm anxious to try these, they look so good. I use a piece of Styrofoam wrapped in plastic wrap to stick my pops in. Much more secure, and I can use it over and over. Just an idea. :)
I can't wait to try these! I just wanted to let you know that canola oil isn't good for you. Vegetable oil is better to use because it won't cause problems like canola oil. Canola oil is used in margarine and that's the main reason why butter is better to use and it's better for you. I just thought you'd like to know! I do love all your recipes and I love sharing them also!
Hi! Great recipe! I have a question. I have left over frosting and wanted to use that up instead of making more. How much frosting does this recipe yield?
I feel bad for your stand mixer getting its day off again. Though I highly suggest purchasing a clear glass bowl for your stand mixer since they sell it at stores and online like amazon for example, but of course you do make awesome sweets with either a hand mixer or stand mixer. I never made cake pops from scratch before; I should give it a try -- thanks for sharing the recipe.
I actually have a glass bowl, but I'm not a huge fan of it. I've actually seen one shatter, scary stuff. I hope you love the cake pops! They are so much better made from scratch. :)
I have only ever had cake pops from Starbucks and I didn’t like them. They taste so artificial to me! But there is nothing about cake pops that I shouldn’t love. 🤣 I exclusively use your cake recipes now. My mother couldn’t figure out why I didn’t just use a cake mix until I made your vanilla cake and she couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. Lol. I am gonna make cake pops for my cousin’s kid’s birthday party and I will definitely be using your recipe! Your cake recipes are my go-tos now. I don’t use any others and I go to your site first if there’s something else I wanna try to see if you have a recipe for it. 😂
I recently saw someone wrap a very warm cake in plastic so the steam added moisture then took the cake, still almost Hot and turned it into the cake pop dough with the mixe. No frosting was added
@@SugarSpunRun I think disaster started when I used regular flour instead of cake flour ‘cause that’s all I had. But from there idk, it was all downhill. I’m gunna try again soon. 💔
I need to try these…oh and loved to see your dog 🤗♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ The smell of the cake made him come to the kitchen ☺️
I hope you love these. She's a good pup. :)
Made these and they were absolutely delicious!! None left!!! 💖

They're so easy!
Luke is definitely missed. He would definitely love these!!!
🤣 He definitely did his fair share of "sampling" 🤣
@@SugarSpunRun Then I know these were great!!!
Love this I'm gonna try it with my babies . Miss lil Luke
Fantastic
If making cake balls would you buy the mini cupcake liners or the standard?
Looks delicious and easy 😊 I can see Luke tasting all the ingredients if he was helping you 😅, shout out to your shepherd, looks just like mine !
🤣 I'm lucky if I get away without him sampling some of the ingredients.
Making these for the grandkids thanks
They're going to love you for it ☺️
Hi! Great recipe! I have a question. I have left over frosting and wanted to use that up instead of making more. How much frosting does this recipe yield?
Do you put them in the freezer covered or uncovered
Nice! Yeah, they usually crack if you freeze them which is why I never do.

By the way your Shepard is so cute!

Can I use Olive or Coconut oil instead of Canola or Vegetable oil??
Yes, absolutely! I would recommend olive or avocado oil. Working on moving entirely away from canola and vegetable myself but not 100% there yet.
What other frosting suggestions? Any variations flavors that would ruin thus recipe? I want to do lemon (instead of vanilla) or rum ones?
I can’t really think of many flavors that wouldn’t go well with a vanilla cake pop honestly. 😊
When do they soften?
Sam can you please do a strawberry poke cake from scratch?
I will add it to my list. :)
@@SugarSpunRun thank you! All recipes I see are with cake mixes.

I'm so glad you've enjoyed everything so much! I too don't like the artificial taste. Thank you so much for your support! :)
I have a question!?
Can i use whip cool to make the frosting for the cakepops. I don't have heavy cream 😢
Do you have milk by chance? That would work better, just use a splash less of it than is called for.
@@SugarSpunRun yes!! I do have milk. Can u help me with a specific portion ( tsp, cup). Please 🙏
@SugarSpunRun and also Thank you for replying 🥰 I am your fan 💗
Beats paying for $3.27 for ONE at Starbucks so thank you, my son loves these!
Definitely! Hope your son loves my version too ❤️

I'm going to try this. I can never get my cake pops right.🤦♀️
Hope my recipe is a winner for you 😊
Mine turned out horrific. I was devastated. 😭
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! :(
