@@wildmanjosh95 But I do wonder, when amara nearly killed chuck, was he seriously dying but hoping the story plays out like he wants? Or he was just faking it and could have healed himself 🤔
God can potentially become the best villain. I feel like this show has been missing a legitimately threatening villain for a few seasons lately. Amara’s obsession with Dean killed any tension she might’ve had as a threatening character. Lucifer, while once upon a time, was once an intriguing and threatening villain, just became boring and with the show constantly Mcguffining Rowena’s abilities to do whatever the plot demands, he basically lost that sense of danger his character used to have. And Michael was just never a fully realized villain, he was just an amalgamation of motivations we’d already seen in Amara and Lucifer and over the course of season 14, it became increasingly apparent that Michael was no more than a place order for what the season really wanted to do, it’s hard to feel threatened or feel a sense of danger with a character like that. But Chuck feels legitimately threatening. They have no clear cut idea on how to kill him, he just created the next apocalypse with a snap of his fingers, and the layers upon layers of manipulation he has going on is just wow! And there’s just so many directions Chuck can go as both a villain and as a character that it’s really intriguing to think about. I’m super excited for season 15.
Katherine Mayers Supernaturals lore is amazing, the best out of any show I have ever seen, however it's story has always been bad. I expect the same for the new season.
@@darkebuddha it doesnt matter. In the shows cannon, hes dead. Taken out with his own synthe just like they said it would kill him. Even god said he was dead. Hes just a reaper. Reapers die and he did. Hes not coming back. Bet that.

He just said he preferred him over Billie, and that he missed him. Hell, Death could probably be hiding from even God himself.
of all the finales they did, this one was the most on point and most perfectly done. it captured the entire giant essence and feeling of the entirety of the show.
Finally Supernatural being the Supernatural show again! I feel the show lost its touch after season 5, but now... OH HOLY SHIT! NOW THAT WAS JUST UNEXPECTED, AND AMAZING!
It has changed, it's always been up and down, but then I honestly found season 5 disappointing (4 was much stronger). It's felt a little more tired the last few years, but there have still been strong moments and episodes. This finale was definitely a high point!
@@kickboxerforever00 Well I believe you think that the show has never changed because you're otterly fond of it, I respect that. But the bitter truth is always hard to swallow, and I've been watching the show since 2007 (There were only 3 seasons then), and I can guarantee you that Supernatural like many others shows has changed and has lost its touch.
Honestly if you just cut the last 30 or so seconds off of the Season Finale of season 5, you would have had one of the greatest series on TV in modern times. Right up there with Breaking Bad. I can tell you that the show just needed to end at some points. But not anymore... I believe this finale was quite the high point and hopefully the next season won't be a disappointment.
It was perfect to make Chuck the final villain. If you watch the whole series it had hinted at it all along. Truly a cruel and capricous god who just wants to be entertained. Loves plot twists and improv but hates when people don't at least follow the plot he outlined.
@@Deathpool_04 Micheal wasn't a soul though. He was literally trapped in the cage. Like how an arch angel could have been trapped in that coffin Dean built.
Triple-D26 I don’t know if that changes anything. This is “GOD” we are talking about. I’m not sure if the coffin Dean built and the Cage can be compared. The Cage is in hell and if god could let those souls out that were in hell, then the same might be said for the Cage. That Michael or at least Adam, is the one loose end that should be tied. Especially Adam.
VloggingandVideoClipHeaven very valid point. I have watched Just this one scene since the finale air over 20 times because I’m just so shocked Chuck (God) is this Evil, it makes you wonder if Lucifer was the bad one this entire time.

Never has a random song ever captured a story moment better than this one. The ultimate match up. This is the only clip from supernatural which i have binge watched, it just fits so perfectly.
Something that would have been cool and short to add in this last finale. Show the cage where Michael is being held then show it crack and a roar like when Lucifer was rising in season 5.
This finale had me on edge the whole episode. Hope the next and (sadly) final season is just as good. Was also wishing that the four horsemen of the apocalypse would've appeared together, laughing that they were brought back.

@Dakotah Daxberger Crowley could've faked his death & the rift could be split open again. Besides Sheppard was a fan favourite so they might bring him back!✡️
Seeing the souls that Sam and Dean defeated over the seasons shows that Chuck has been pulling the strings. Like puppets on a stage. All made for a show. Now that he cut the strings, the souls were ready to finally go after Sam and Dean. No holding back. Thanks to anyone who reads this.
The season 14 finale, and the Season 5 finale Swan Song are the best absolute best season finales this show could’ve had. They’re both phenomenal episodes.
This is really my fav scene of all time , not just the scene but the combo with the song from motorhead . It was made for this scene and really is a big part of why this scene has got massive impact 😊. I only wish the song was louder in the scene as its drowned out by all the dead rising etc .
That has been one of my all time favorite Motorhead song for well over a decade, but it's a REALLY deep cut. Most Motorhead fans don't even know about it. So for it to be picked to end this season had my jaw on the floor. It's not just perfect for the scene, but from an extremely overlooked release by that band. Whoever the made this choice needs a raise.
Nicholette Graham Lucifer, Amara, and Michael are all right that God never gave a shit about anybody the angels, the demons, humans, or even people from alternate Earths because God sees the Universe as just one long video game that if his creations fuck up then he can just restart from scratch just to make an entire new creation.
Loved Supernatural, but never saw the later seasons. Now for the first time, did I see this scene. Immediatly became one of the best of the series for me.
When I saw it I just sat in shocked silence and awe. Let the credits roll and just sat there until my t.v. turned off from inactivity. Was not expecting this. I told my wife it would've been the most hard-core ending to the show if they ended it with this.
I also feel like this scene is a perfect depiction of who they are at their core. They never give up or stopped fighting no matter what-even when it seems like they probably won't make it out. That's just who they are.

This would've crushed it. We knew all along but couldn't admit it to ourselves. When Cas said Writers Lie it all fell into place and yes.... Ending here would've been bold but perfect.
This ending sounds exponentially better than killing god with a Heaven gun which I’m pretty sure the Supernatural writers got from American dad so it makes sense it was silly asf lol
Very dark but oh so fitting
That would have been perfect just show the empty absorbing jack and have it smile like that at the camera and cut the scene where death showed up
Writers...DON'T nerf God next season.
They better not.
He was so nerfed in season 11 ugh...
@@katrinaheller7664 he was faking it.
@@wildmanjosh95 But I do wonder, when amara nearly killed chuck, was he seriously dying but hoping the story plays out like he wants? Or he was just faking it and could have healed himself 🤔
@@hidan407 They are on equal levels so I don't think he was faking it
This finale was epic ... The song, the explosions, and the first season call backs wow and how could I forget the cliffhanger
All of this! :)
Spot on about the last few seasons' villains. If they get this right I will forgive them for everything, even the season 13 air fight.
Tyler L that air fight was ridiculous, right?! 😅
@@tholodryha hell yeah it was. I wanted to see a skilled fist fight atleast with blood.
Katherine Mayers Supernaturals lore is amazing, the best out of any show I have ever seen, however it's story has always been bad. I expect the same for the new season.
Supernatural has never been a scary show to me but this scene was purely terrifying
I'm hoping original Death comes back.
That would be interesting
Hes not. Hes dead, get over it, hes not coming back
@@jamesvincent4472
Do you really think Death can die? He probably just retired. These aren't strange enough aeons.
@@darkebuddha it doesnt matter. In the shows cannon, hes dead. Taken out with his own synthe just like they said it would kill him. Even god said he was dead. Hes just a reaper. Reapers die and he did. Hes not coming back. Bet that.
@@jamesvincent4472
First off, Death is just as powerful as God, who says he couldn't just decide "Screw the Winchesters, I'm playing dead" and go off on vacation? Who says his own scythe could kill him anyway? There's no lore saying "Only Death's scythe can kill him."
Also, Chuck didn't say Death was dead.
He just said he preferred him over Billie, and that he missed him.
Hell, Death could probably be hiding from even God himself.
At that moment i hoped Crowley would rise and save them.
That is how season 15 will begin I think
@@banasir interesting thought, that could actual be as ruby and meg are in the empty.
of all the finales they did, this one was the most on point and most perfectly done. it captured the entire giant essence and feeling of the entirety of the show.
Finally Supernatural being the Supernatural show again!
I feel the show lost its touch after season 5, but now... OH HOLY SHIT! NOW THAT WAS JUST UNEXPECTED, AND AMAZING!
You must be a Casual then...Supernatural has Never changed
Wait so did they all die at the end? Is there gonna be another season?
Crowley comes back to save the boys from the zombies 🙏🏼 That would be epic!
Hey, if Chuck has brought all the other baddies back, why not Crowley too?
@@ThreadBomb exactly 🙏🏼
Because Mark Sheppard is not coming back. He said so. So if he does come back it will be a different actor and it wouldn't be the same
Well, they HAVE to die along with Castiel to go to the void. That's where they fight against God will begin.
Imagine supernatural becomes a zombie show
Supernatural the fandom where we hate god more than Lucifer
Hehehehe real man but thes is not really it just film
Now if only there's a crossover where the Winchesters meet Lucifer Morningstar aka Lucifer from an alternate universe
I don't hate God. He's an awesome and well written character.
@@michaelcarter8418 He is a really well wrote character.... Just he is a great big bag of dicks lol
I don't hate Chuck too. I like him as a villain.
Excellent use of a mòtorhead song!!!👍👍
Very
It was perfect to make Chuck the final villain. If you watch the whole series it had hinted at it all along. Truly a cruel and capricous god who just wants to be entertained. Loves plot twists and improv but hates when people don't at least follow the plot he outlined.
What about the other Michael in the cage. I mean he might Looney but he knows something
I wonder if he does get brought back since it’s the final season and he realized supposed all the souls from hell.
Prison live isn't good for him. Most of the time he is playing on himself
Lucifer said he’s basically just a shell. He’d be worse off then Gabriel after he’d been tortured.
Crazy how it’s almost like God is the Ultimate Baddie of the Entire Series
Not almost... Because he IS the ultimate baddie.
VloggingandVideoClipHeaven very valid point. I have watched Just this one scene since the finale air over 20 times because I’m just so shocked Chuck (God) is this Evil, it makes you wonder if Lucifer was the bad one this entire time.
@@porter3037
Of course he was.
Season's 4's Monster at the End of This Book, was Chuck's first appearance.
Va Mu yes that’s true but think about it Chuck (God) has been controlling their whole lives probably since they were kids.
Hands down the BEST season finale EVER!!! And the song fit perfectly.... I love this show
Is it just me or does this scenes special effects quality got dialed up to a 1000, high budget movie type level... all of a sudden??
I wouldn't be surprised if season 15 is the best
Yeah and then we think back to that CGI banshee... Dark times...
Brilliant choice of music, Amazing buildup and payoff, Some of the best callbacks ever.
I really have to watch the rest of Supernatural because god DAMN.
What a finale
SPN final season > GoT final season 😂
Come on man, must we really do the show comparing elitist thing here? And here I was expecting people to be able to enjoy each respectively without needing to compare.
obviously lol
supernatural is for a special crowd got was pop mostly
even if they cant write it amazingly they still know what we ll like ;)
Never has a random song ever captured a story moment better than this one. The ultimate match up. This is the only clip from supernatural which i have binge watched, it just fits so perfectly.
2:48 I swear to god the way they combine the beat of the music with the grave exploding is just amazing!
Something that would have been cool and short to add in this last finale. Show the cage where Michael is being held then show it crack and a roar like when Lucifer was rising in season 5.
So Supernatural is the prequel to The Walking Dead?
Well, John Wincester did have the wire wrapped bat, so...
Maybe that’s how the apocalypse in two started..
Lol that"s true
Holy sh*t so the curse in the walking dead "if u die, u become a walker"
Is from apocalypse in supernatural?
nah zombie shows r shit
This finale had me on edge the whole episode. Hope the next and (sadly) final season is just as good. Was also wishing that the four horsemen of the apocalypse would've appeared together, laughing that they were brought back.
Can't believe after 15 years it's all over. What an absolute belter to use as well. Going to miss these guys. One of the best sessons I think personally.

Angry Demons the ultimate comment brother.
Definitely my favorite scene of the show, they did every aspect right in this
This series had a lot of epic season finales, but this one had my jaw on the floor.
As soon as I saw The Woman In White from the very first episode I knew wtf was going on 😮🙃
So not only was Lucifer AU Michael knew God was bad but also Lemmy.
AU Michael and Lucifer were worse though.
Probably my favourite scene in all of Supernatural, and it introduced me to one of my favourite songs to boot. And it was an amazing way to cap off my favourite season of the show.
The way the empty draws a smile on his face is the creepiest thing in the entire series
Every time I watch this I'm on my second run through of it all again straight after I finished. I just fell so in love with this show. I lost my dad recently and supernatural season 14 finale was beautifully executed and emotional as hell. Top TV show ever now. 🎶 God was never on tour side ❤
Motorhead-god was never on your side. That’s the song if anyone wants to know . I thought that there would be no bigger season finale than amara/the darkness being freed I was horribly wrong.
As always the song choice is immaculate
A very nice tribute to Lemmy after his passing using this song. It fits perfectly. R.I.P Lemmy
*Welcome to the end*
Bring back everyone Jack, Lucifer, Crowley, Old Death & The Darkness against GOD🔱
#SPN is back fellas!
@Dakotah Daxberger Crowley could've faked his death & the rift could be split open again. Besides Sheppard was a fan favourite so they might bring him back!✡️
Dr Sidd Gandhi The darkness is on God’s side
Meg 😭
Seriously though; Why aren't people talking about Ellen, Jo, and Ash?
@Dakotah Daxberger it would be the empty! He was a demon.
I'm 90% sure that the dude at 3:01 is Samuel Colt.
The season 14 finale, and the Season 5 finale Swan Song are the best absolute best season finales this show could’ve had. They’re both phenomenal episodes.
I think Swan Song and 8x23 were great.
This is really my fav scene of all time , not just the scene but the combo with the song from motorhead . It was made for this scene and really is a big part of why this scene has got massive impact 😊. I only wish the song was louder in the scene as its drowned out by all the dead rising etc .
I get the chills every time I watch this. So badass.
So much hype we got they would have to fight their old enemies again.... But then they fucked up everything in season 15
So will they bring Jefferson starships back
LMAO...I had completely forgot about the "Jefferson Starships"
Absolute masterpiece the writers and all involved it just couldn’t be more perfect. Gives me chills every time I watch it.
honestly every time i watch this it gives me the CHILLSSSA
That has been one of my all time favorite Motorhead song for well over a decade, but it's a REALLY deep cut. Most Motorhead fans don't even know about it. So for it to be picked to end this season had my jaw on the floor. It's not just perfect for the scene, but from an extremely overlooked release by that band. Whoever the made this choice needs a raise.
So the darkness was right about him he didn't care 🤔🤨
Nicholette Graham Lucifer, Amara, and Michael are all right that God never gave a shit about anybody the angels, the demons, humans, or even people from alternate Earths because God sees the Universe as just one long video game that if his creations fuck up then he can just restart from scratch just to make an entire new creation.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr the biggest douchebag in the entire series.

If Chuck is writing the books then he wants the best possible ending for his readers. All out war seems like a good angle for a final book.
Anyone else get reminded of this scene again after The Boys season 4 finale?
Honestly I suspect a massive team up for the finale
I'm coming in several years later....probably would've gotten it if not for covid
To this day... One of the best endings of the show.
the motörhead song worked well. i got goosebumps like 5 times during the whole ending sequence.
Just like a Human who plays the Sims, gets bored and kills them.
The choice of song for this season finale was PERFECT!! Was listening to this song on repeat for several days after the finale!!
This is still one of the most chilling things I’ve ever seen
Super team up
Sam dean Cas.
Lucifer.
Jack.
Death.
Vs. GOD
The empty also
Demorrio Jones yeah would be cool against god
And where is Crowley ?
There’s also the Michael that’s still in the cage.
Wouldn't it make more sense for Lucifer to side with Chuck? After all, he is finally doing what Lucifer wanted.
'Then a spirit passed before my face, the hair of my flesh stood up'
- Book of Job
imagine real god seeing this show from upstairs getting real angry and actually thinking about bringing the real apocalypse
I also feel like this scene is a perfect depiction of who they are at their core. They never give up or stopped fighting no matter what-even when it seems like they probably won't make it out. That's just who they are.
Absolutely perfect song choice.
