How often can I put the 12 down on my lawn? Can I put it down during high heat or cold weather? Is there a limit to what benefit it will give based upon the number of times I put it down?
You’re the Bill Nye the science guy of soil chemistry. I use your products and appreciate your use of science and explaining the process to your customers. Much appreciated.
i dont know what powder do u use, but i made 6% solutions from 90% powder and consistency looks exactly same(humic12) like a sticky glue, but maybe because i use warm/hot water ?
+Kris L maybe. Like I said, I depends on the way it was manufactured. Depending on what you’re getting, it could be raw powder or it could be reacted. That’s why I made that statement about knowing where and what you’re getting
@@brianallen140 which one do you buy ? I ordered 5lb 90% humic, 10% fulvic and other for 27$ it gives me 8 gallon 6% concentrate or 4 gallon 12%. @@krzyszko Got the same stuff. I mixed with 120 °F distilled water 3 months ago and it is still in solution and like you said, paints my fingers just like John's. The 10% is potassium hydroxide. I asked them on Amazon. 90% is humic and fulvic. Not sure how fulvic could be lost by dehydration.
Hi John, was given granular humic for payment from landscape company for service rendered my choice. You are correct you need a bunch of product for one application. Now if you take your product and look at cost of application and bang for your buck Humic 12 is the way to go. I am no professional by no means just a DYI guy with a nice looking yard. We just came off extensive heat and the yard looks fabulous. Thanks for your knowledge and awesome products. I run the full line of Green County every 30 days!!!
Humic is a wonderful additive to get your soil moving in a positive direction but it will be indirectly effective. It will facilitate better rooting, better nutrient utilization and cycling. Organic matter will increase just because of that.
Thank you John for taking time to show/explain the difference of solution vs. suspension etc. and for the comparison of the GC H12 product. I’m a visual learner so this applies to me immediately. 🤯
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and helping everyone understand the humic a little better. For myself, this makes a lot of sense. Once again I can't thank you and your team enough for making this possible for the DIY person.
What a awesome video, growing up on a farm we used to apply micros ,macros to our crops, I thought for years there has to be some type of product out there for lawns, thank you green county fertilizer company for coming up with amazing products and explaining them very very well, the lawn care nut Mr.Castleberry, GCI, and your channel,Lawncology,I’ve purchased your amazing products and they are awesome, simple to use, I cannot say enough great things about Greene county fertilizer products, and I feel the prices are great too, I am from Lakeville mn and you have made my Lawn and soil healthy and green again, and fast shipping from LCN and GCI, that’s where I order from, so I salute you all for the awesome products and hard work that you all do, and helping out us DIY , and saving us money for not hiring a lawn service that doesn’t really care about our lawns, they just take the money and run, my lawn has done a 180 turnaround and so so thick, it’s awesome to have neighbors kids comment on how dark green and thick and soft the lawn is , my daughters friends always want to come over and play in the grass because it’s soft, bug and insect free, thanks for the awesome company and great people involved with the company 👍👍
Hey John. I have few spots in my lawn that dry out faster than the rest. I can tell by the grass turning little black at the end of hot day. After I water it the grass comes back to life. I’ve been using your products for almost a year now and my lawn looks awesome. Which product or products can I use little heavier in those spots to improve soil water retention so the grass and soil doesn’t stress out?
+Squad 3 use h12 if you have it. Mix 9 ounces in a gallon of water in a backpack or spray it on with a hose end. Drown those spots. It will change almost immediately
Since I'm in Ottawa I can basically only go a couple of routes for fert (oh, and we have no access to soil amendments.) If you were to choose between hen Manure pellets, Scott's fert with "root trients" and plain Jane synthetic fert, which would you pick?
+Kenyon Payne go with more carbon materials. It will only help. Stay more toward the organic side but not committed fully. Hybridized is the best option
I have Zoysia due to having 3 old 100+ year old oak trees in the front yard. I have noticed that the zoysia is struggling in the shade this year. I have just bought some N-Ext products and was wondering what you would do to help make the zoysia grow better in that area. I have raised the canopies of the trees as high as my pole saw will go to get as much sunlight as possible in this area. Thanks for your time and feedback.
This is one of the best "show me why" videos. Clear as day. I bought 5 gallons of humic 12 from N-Ext a week before I watched this. I won't be looking for other "inexpensive" routes once I run out. Also liked your 4th of July video.
You think the CEO of that "Billion Dollar Conglomerate who makes dry humic acid and used to despise DIYers" does his own lawn? If so, does he wear cool flip flops when doing it?
Extremely interesting. Of course I'm not going to mix my own. The human control seems like all the work has been done for me and to the ideal percentage. So why would I Not use an excellent product that has been tested and premixed for me. This is a very interesting and in-depth discussion. I appreciate that. Thank you.
New customer with two bio packages. The effect that Humic has on the yard is amazing. Air8 and RGS in combo as well. FloraGreene for the wife's flowers
I know what's on the label for typical application, but for those of us over achievers that really want to break down the solid clay under our lawn what is the max application rate we should be looking at? So far I have been applying the max dosage 9oz/1k once a month. Would it be beneficial to make that two applications a month?
First year using your product. Thanks for sharing this info. I have learned allot about humic this last year. I was wondering about the other products. Mostly because of cost and with all the hype of each. All I know is when I apply your product I can see its effects clearly in a very short time. Your video will allow me to explain the product to clients a bit better. In the end they just want green lawn right. So I am in the State of Washington. Why is it so hard to get this shipped here? I know this state has some funky rules. I am going to need to figure out a method to get some more as I will be running out of what I have soon.
+Dandy Lawn and Maintenance there was something in the small packaging that hung it up. We’ve been shipping bulk to Washington for over a decade. We’ve got a private contractor who specializes in these registrations working through all of them
On my 2nd yr using H12 with great results. Question...have you ever taken our heavy clay GA or Al soil and demo’d soaking the soil in H12 to see the changes that occur. Any idea how H12 will interact with chirt?
Not all granular is the same. What granular did you use? I just applied Anderson DG humic last week and had some residue left in the hooper. As soon as water touched it, it was turned INSTANTLY into straight black water...
@@Lawncology I apply professionally so I need to put down quite a bit and I don't have one of those fancy ride on units. I am thinking a 12 gallon walk behind would be ideal for now. I've also heard it can clog filters if run neat.
What about other liquids that claim to be much higher concentration (up to 80%) at much lower cost? Is it a cost savings or trick? What should we watch out for?
@@Lawncology Description I Gallon concentrate Humic Acid. We have used this product for years with fantastic results! Use in gardens, houseplants, lawns, trees, greenhouses, rowcrops, ornamentals, and pastures. I apply this product weekly on all my greenhouse plants. Extracted from ground leonardite, and oxidized from lignite. Minimum of 80% humic acids. GS Plant Foods' Liquid Humic Acid is easily assimilated by plants and some of its main functions include improving plant immunity, improving plant metabolism, improving plant root development, improving the supply of plant nutritional elements and increasing the formation of ferments. Humic Acid promotes the increased accumulation of chlorophyll, sugar, amino acids and more and improves the efficiency of nitrogen utilization, allowing for reduced fertilizer rates. One of the primary actions of Humic Acid is to increase the plant's ability to withstand the stresses of heat, drought, cold, disease, insect and other types of environmental or cultural pressures. Humic also increases general plant productivity, in terms of yield, as well as plant stem strength. Within the soil, humic stimulates soil microorganisms, promoting Humus.
+Corey Wilder here my thought and I could be wrong. The statement doesn’t apply to the liquid but to the leonardite it’s extracted from. The label shows no guarantee and that’s problematic, you don’t really know what’s in there. I’ve seen as high as 24% in a liquid and it’s practically sludge, it’s intended to be cut in half with water to be useable before even breaking it down further. There’s a company in Canada that does that
Great video... My brain is swelling from what I learned. Going to order the Humic12. Also looking at the root stimulator that helps w summer stress and heat conditions
I just ran my own test (kelp4less) and it appears much more like a solution than a mixture. I'm sure there are bad humic powder products out there. But I feel like he has unnecessarily given them a bad wrap. Seems many have been designed to actually fully dissolve.
@@Lawncology Already in the process (albeit 12% via humic, fulvic and kelp). So like 4%humic, 4% fulvic and 4%kelp per kelp4less. 24 hours will be hit tomorrow morning. thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=11799
What would you do to improve water retention of soil? Stick with the program and slowly improve the soil? This is my second year using Next products, and I definitely see an improvement. Good elearning video! Liquid dirt.
Excellent video. This relieved me from the burden of wondering what humate to use - prill, powder or liquid. The visuals really helped to understand the benefits of solution over a suspension. 👌🏻✌️
Thanks for the video! Quick question: Are other manufacturers really dehydrating a solution to get a powder? I was under the impression they were changing the pH of the solution such that the humic substance was precipitated out of the solution. After all, that is the definition of humic acid when trying to compare it to substances like fulvic, humis, etc.
How does the Humic 12 work differently from the D-Thatch. They both have different-concentrations of acid and D-thatch has N. Do I need to buy the D-thatch to get rid of thatch layer or will this humic 12 do the job?
How can we make the liquid form if we do have 6-8 weeks of time? I just purchased 80 pounds to add to my garden, but then I was told I have to buy the Super Juice from Doc to make it work for my vegetables.
Is it possible to buy a gallon of the humic 12 without having to buy 3 other products with it ? I would really like to try some but once I build a box with four gallons of product the price jumps up to around $100 (from the link provided by Allen Hane). I just don't know that I can use all of that product in a timely manner. I have been using the Humic DG in heavy amounts and it does seem to be helping the sandy areas. But like you said I have to put out a lot and it takes a few days, with rain about every day here in Tampa, for it to start breaking down really well.
Last year I used granular humates and this year used the Next humates. While it is easy to say Humics are all the same the liquid seems to incorporate into the soil profile better, and the soil itself is much softer and more pliable. You can physically see it giving a bit as you walk on it.
First of all I want to say great video for the breakdown on the different Humic/Humate products, this is what I was waiting for! I've bought a bio stimulant packs, and I've been using The Andersons DG, (those are not Andersons) but almost break down a little similar. I agree that the Humic12 works faster, however it doesn't last as long as the DG ie. Like a slow release. Now I'll tell you I use 1 application of the DG and 3 applications of 12 for the kick! I've been doing this for just over a year now with awesome results. Keep up the good work!
Yeh I switched to DG this year. Humic 12 works really well but doesn't seem to last long. I would love to see some test on how long both stay in the soil for.
I've been using both Humic12 and Humic DG granular and I find it's easier for me to apply the granular than a liquid in some cases, considering the Ortho hose end sprayer takes awhile to cover a good amount of square footage, but have certainly been spraying the Humic12 in many areas and painting them black with good results. I guess my question would be if you were comparing that in your example in this video? I personally think that particular granular does break down pretty good, no? Lastly, I know slightly off topic, but does D-thatch help or hurt during fungal stress and does Humic12 help or hurt?
Brian Schmitz what you’re saying is my exact same thought process. I like to believe that the Humic12 is a better product (in theory as this video shows) but in actual practice I don’t think there is a significant amount of difference noticed to the lawn. I hate dealing with applying liquids since there’s not a great high quality CONSISTENT sprayer available for the DIYers that this product is marketed to. The spreader takes me 10 minutes start to finish to open a bag and spread it over my 7k sq ft.
@@alexmussman6372 I was more curious to note whether the granular being compared was similar to Anderson's Humic DG, which I've found to be pretty solid in my experience, or something different. It is always recommended to water them in, so if you're not going to get rain that day or night, you've got to do that manually, and sometimes it's cool at that point, to water them in with some one the N-EXt products, which takes it to the next level and then some. The benefit of the liquids, is that technically you shouldn't have to water them into the lawn too much, but it is recommended to water them in a bit. That's always the hard part, if you don't have a built-in sprinkler system. DIY is great, but we're still amateurs with just sprinklers in some instances.. :-)
Lawncology I really like the way you explained the differences. My problem with the liquid stuff is the delivery. I bought one of your stimulant packages about a year ago, but since it’s so difficult to spread on my lawn, I haven’t used it as much as I would like to. The Ortho dial spreader does nothing but clog up because the liquid is so thick. There has to be a better way to get your products on the lawn.
John, excellent video again. I've watched most of your lawncology videos and the summit videos also. I'm a first year user of the N-EXT bio stimulant 4 pack and am very impressed. Although we have a few weeks of high heat and humidity here in upstate n.y. my lawn has had little to no fade in color at all. I've already lowered my N rates dramatically this year and guess what? Lawn in thick, tall, and double dark green. A funny thing also. I have a 90 pound german shepard in my back yard for 4 years now on a runner that has worn out large portions of my grass and compacted my soil in this areas. I used Air 8 (2 applications this year with RGS and Humic Acid at the max rate in these compacted areas (Heavy clay soil). My wife recently went outside and stated that it look like we had a earth quake hit the back yard as these products have broken up the compacted ( 1/4 inch cracks in the compacted soil areas everywhere...) so well. My wife knows nothing about lawn care or your products but AIR 8 does it job and its ten times worth its price for heavy compacted soils... i'm also in the process of reseeding these areas and i am having awesome germination rates and green healthy new grass. (Used all four products on the newly seeded areas at the low rates) Thank you for your awesome products.
The problem is that the SP-90 product is labeled and marketed as soluble. it isn't, it is just very finely milled. If put into consistent labeling with other turf products it is a WDG or suspendable powder. I think another neat test you could do it to run both the H12 and SP-90 though a brita or other type gravity filtration device to see what comes out the bottom. Hopefully I'll see you at GIE in the fall, I've had my ticket for a bit now.
Is it ok to mix Tenacity with Humic12 or RGS while applying it ? I'm planning to overseed this fall and planning to apply humic and tenacity. Not sure if it ok to mix in the same container. Thanks for your advice.
Hi John, I've commented before about my battle with rabbits. I have one area that they continue to visit and destroy. Coupled with heat stress from our 80-90 degree weather, I wanted to tear it out! Been using your products to rebuild the soil, but it was when I saw your video on going heavy with the humic12, that I had an idea. End of June I covered the entire section with burlap to protect it from the high heat, (and those little a holes), and noticed some small improvement. 9 days ago I went heavy with the humic12, watered it in, and today there is a noticeable improvement in the overall appearance. And boy, did it grow and green up! I still don't know how to keep the rabbits off, (I've tried everything) - they even sit on top of the burlap peeing and pooping like they're just waiting for it to come off :-) PS Like many others (I'm in CA) waiting for shipping to be ok'd
+Jenene Waters great story? I haven’t done the insanity sauce in awhile and the rabbits have just come back. It’s time to fire the fur balls up again. The huge Humic doses make a dramatic change to the soil and the turf
I have about 90,000sqft lawn. I've been breaking it down into 6500sqft a day. Spoon feed and water well in the mornings 6500sqft a day for 14 days take a week off then start over again. Seems to be working in central pa with very hot weather.
Lawncology ship me over a bottle, I’ll lay it down on my lawns and do a vid for UA-cam and post on the uk lawn groups 😉👍🏻. After watching you, I feel I’m cheating my clay lawn and myself using the powder, I feel dirty now 😂
Thanks for sharing John! Just starting using your products this year. Your video has made me wonder more about humate as I've been looking more into it and incorporating it into my lawn. Is there any differences in humate powders? Or would most (all?) behave the way you have illustrated in the video? After watching your video I saw another video where they illustrate how quickly their humate will disperse in water. They didn't include a time lapse like you did to show if it will stay dispersed or will settle.
+Sad Trombone it’s all dependent upon the manufacturing technique. The material mixes in well, but it doesn’t stay in solution. That tells me that the water will separate from the particulate before it makes it into the soil
I can not see myself without using the stimulant pack anymore. Results are evident and it pays itself. What model are those killer glasses, they are nice.
John I don't think you stated what company provided the humic powder you used and mixed with water to compare to your Humic 12 liquid. If you did I missed it. I created an exercise of my own to evaluate humic powder I had been given to try. I took an amount of humic powder that I received from a reputable provider and mixed up a 12% solution. I then put an equal amount of the 12% solution I prepared in a glass container and put an equal amount of Humic 12 in an identical glass container. I then mixed each sample with a battery powered mixer for 1 minute and set the containers aside in the shade and made sure neither container was moved. Immediately following, I took 6 ounces of Humic 12 and 6 ounces of water and put those two in a glass container as well as taking 6 ounces of the 12% humic solution I prepared and 6 ounces of water in a 4th container. Both were mixed for one minute with the same mixer used previously. Those two glass containers were set aside. By my examination all liquids in each of the four containers appeared to be in solution not suspension when they were set aside at the beginning of the exercise. I then checked on the samples every hour for 4 hours. During that time I could see no visual difference between the four in regard to any one or more of the contained liquids appearing to showing any signs of suspension or settling out of particles. I had the same findings at the end of hour 2 and hour 3 as well as hour 4. At the end of 4 hours I emptied all containers and examined the bottom of the inside of the containers. All showed very minor evidence of very slight settling of any particles but maybe slightly more particles in the containers with no added water. I felt there was no significance difference between the containers regarding settling of particles by visual examination. I saw that the humic powder that you used to mix with water to compare to Humic 12 did show significant particle settling whereas the powder I used to create a 12% solution did appear to remain in solution as well as the Humic 12. That is the only conclusion I could draw from this exercise except for the fact that all humic powders are not equal and neither is their behavior or their properties when mixed with water. The exercise clearly showed all humic powders are not identical and at least one humic powder placed in solution with water appeared to behave equal to Humic 12 regarding remaining in solution at least at the end of 4 hours. Therefore this exercise shows that all humic powders when mixed with water do not behave in the manner we saw with your comparison. This exercise did not attempt to speak to the efficacy of any of the solutions compared to the others. It primarily looked at the ability of the powder and water to remain in solution at 4 hours at least as well as Humic 12. I plan to repeat the exercise and add a second humic powder I received from another provider.
+R H thanks for this, I did not state which company I received the material from, I don’t feel like getting into that hornets nest with people. To be fair, the material was mixed 24 hours prior to video. It took about 12 hours before settlement occurred. Once it did, it would not stay in solution. Two glasses were put side be side in the sun and allowed to be undistrubed for the entire 24 hour period. Once settlement occurred in the powder, I remixed and the fallout happened nearly instantly. This is only one providers material, I’m sure there are others that behave differently
@@Lawncology Appreciate the information about the elapsed time since initial mixing. Noted. As you probably assumed I am attempting to determine the results obtainable from the same % concentration liquid humic acid solution I can prepare myself for a few dollars vs the results obtainable from Humic 12 a 12% solution as well. I see this discussed often on various forums as well as discussions about self mixing other solutions and/or liquid preparations that cost many times more than prepackaged liquids and most importantly comparison of the results but thats a longer term study currently on going. I know there have been studies done using Humic 12 and it's effects if any on various agricultural items such as corn and beans. I believe these studies compared use of Humic 12 vs no Humic 12 but I have not seen a study comparing Humic 12 to a 12% humic solution prepared from various humic acid powder providers. So Humic 12 added vs nothing added but not Humic 12 vs another 12% humic solution. If that study has been done I would be interested in reading it. As mentioned this study is on going but is a longer term exercise. Thank you.
Hi I tried making a humic acid 12% solution by trying to dissolve 12 grams of humic acid in 88ml & 100ml respectively but I couldn't get all of it to dissolve and I had a sludge remaining. How can I make a 12% solution which is freely flowing?
You just dropped some jewels on us to digest. Nice example and explanation of what is actually happening when we apply certain materials to your lawn. Keep the Vids coming John. Class is in session.
This may be a silly question to ask, but can you mix Humic 12 and Air-8 in the same solution to do both at the same time, if so what would be the ratio, or do they need to be done in separate applications?
John, that was absolutely awesome. Thank you for the visuals, it really helps. I've been using the Bio-Stimulant pack all summer. We've had 90+ degree heat and high humidity for a few weeks here in SW Va. All my neighbors lawns (weed patches w/ k31) are brown, my TTTF/KBG lawn is lush green and I'm actually not watering that much. Last summer (w/o N-Ext products) my lawn suffered in the heat even though I watered deeply twice / week.
This is an awesome demonstration and explanation. I can't say I understood everything but I definitely learned some great info here. Thanks for taking me to school this fine Friday morning, John!
I use these products and I can tell you the grass root systems are best they have ever been by a long shot and my lawn is very healthy. Roots are growing faster than the mole crickets can eat them, lol.
+Patriot for Truth lol. There’s some very serious wisdom in that... “acceptable levels of infestation.” When a plant is out performing the take down rate of an invasive pest, there becomes time for predators to Do their role in control
@@Lawncology Let me ask you this please. I had serious take all patch and treated it with peat moss per research. It worked but took over 3 months to be effective. I am thinking that if I used peat and sprayed it with dethatch that it would cause the peat to break down quicker and as a result reach the roots quicker and a quicker healing. I may have discovered something here that could be useful. Can I get the patent LOL. What say you???
Brandon Hitchcock a) not subpar, just different. Liquids just have a better chance for getting into the soil. B) the formulation and composition of carbon X is done by matt Martin at carbon earth co. I believe they are using a powder for their Humic but I don’t know.
@@SexyBootyFart My point is that granular humic is a selling point in Carbon-X. Judging from the information found in this video, it appears that it is not much of a selling point.
I have 29,000sqft. How would I apply this without a 2nd mortgage for more lawn equipment? That's why granulars appeal to me, spreaders are cheap and fast. #biglawnsmatter
In the words of my past crush, “ teacher, there are things that I still have to learn”🎶🎵 This was good-esp for a granular gal who is not used to spraying. Now link that product and do one on your liquid product v other liquid humic products. ❤️
Pairing humic12 and RGS with Air8, in a hose end in 3 separate treatments but the same day, would that Air8 increase performance of these products because its allowing it to reach further in to the soil? An additional question would be how long does it take for Air8 to break the bonds on the soil surface? Just last week, I applied these 3 products together for the first time and have noticed an increase in uptake and response time in my zoysia stand I have. I wasn’t sure if I was just doing a better job with the watering in process or if the Air8 was giving me a boost. Thanks John, love the vids.
+Jake Gump it is quite possible that the air8 would push further but... if you went out three separate passes, you’ve relieved surface tension of the soil every time you go by, allowing deeper soil penetration just because of the time between passes
With your product being extracted from ground leonardite using a chemical process in which the humic/fulvic is extracted in an alkaline bath, I would assume its’ been denatured? Using strong acids/bases to extract will typically denature the material, prolonging the ability for bacteria/fungi to utilize it in a timely manner. You mention how the response can be seen right away, it is my understanding that it can take the micro organisms 6 weeks to 6 months to re-nature the humic material when extracted using strong acids/bases. Thank you. Nice video, I liked the Tarantino-esqe flashback/different angle with the time lapse bit....Hey man, have good one....🤘🏼
+Lawn Creeps Ltd. it takes some time to recolonize and in the balance of the 12% we’ve found more of an equilibrium. Less content more microbes, more content, lengthier time.
You have found that less content in the extraction brings it back to microbial availability quicker? I understand the piece about the viscosity/consistency and it being able to penetrate into the soil, but is the material itself available to the micro biology right away after being extracted using your chemical process? It is my understanding that it would take roughly the above mentioned time frame for the fungi and the bacteria to re-nature the content (fungi:humic/fulvic bacteria:fulvic ) after the strong chemical process.. Thanks man. Hey dude I forgot about the safety dance bit as well, that was awesome.
Lawn Creeps Ltd. so according to the old timers in the Humic biz, the higher content gives greater root changes, but lowers microbial inter faces. Now, I do not have timing in colonization and I do Know some labs that can do that. Perhaps that’s a study for the winter
+John H. Seiler we are working on some pretty cool options, a topdressing being one of them. Currently we pump into a retention pond allow some evaporation and then drag it across our field. We’ve been amending the soil at our plant for years
Very good demonstration, John. I would imagine that you use this demonstration on sales calls because it really illustrates the differences in the products well. One question came to mind. In your Humic 12 you said that your product contained 12% humic. Why did you choose that percentage of humic and what benefit or harm would you see if it was a higher percentage?
+Ben Harrison I have to be honest, I had never done that before. No practice was done, just shot from the hip with an idea. The 12% level balances out microbial action and acid usability. It also is a good level for ease of use.
My question....I put down Carbonx. It contains humic acid? Is that humic then poorly delivered so not much use as a granular form then? Not a comment here, really, a question.
+Howard the Humic portion I’m carbon x is low percentage, the combination of all the materials in carbon x work synergistically to provide the overall results. Additional Humic can always be added for increased results. The design of carbon x will aid in over all carbon content of the soil and provide good long term feeding.
The reality of all of these products is water is the carrier. The porosity of your soil will depend on how far these products can travel down with water. Fortunately we can force soil porosity with aereation. If I could I would aerate my lawn everytime prior to putting down fertilizer. The fertilizer would fall down into the aerated holes next to the roots instead of sitting on top of the soil. Water will dissolve everything so the roots will absorb it.
Mo Cobb that’s is right. Water carrier is what’s needed and that was the point behind the demo, see what stays up what passes easily, everything will do work in the soil, just differently
Amazing work. Love why all the next products can do. But how can I purchase them to shop to Toronto, Canada? Let me know when you have a min Lawn Brother , Cheers
So, sitting here 05:00 with a fine cup of freshly ground Italian roast coffee, I was finally able to get through to the end of the video, and I must say, like a good movie, it was good through to the end. That wine carafe of the N-ext Humic12 looked good enough to drink, like ice coffee. Now, the questions. 1. Does the carbon of this golden product we call Humic12 reach a level/depth in the soil where it remains suspended, say at root depths of 3-12"? Or, will it eventually leach through past the roots needing to be replenish? 2. Is there a time when the ground becomes saturated with the carbon from Humic12 where there is no need to apply more? 3. I plan to over seed this fall in the September-October time frame. Would it be beneficial to continue my apps of Humic12, RGS, Air-8, and the Micro's through the summer, or wait till we get through this scorching hot season? I would like to add that, this year, since using your products, my TTTF has never looked so healthy this far into the summer. And if you're wondering, no, I did not use grammarly on this comment. 😁 Thanks, Your patron from Cary, NC

Humic is a wonderful additive to get your soil moving in a positive direction but it will be indirectly effective. It will facilitate better rooting, better nutrient utilization and cycling. Organic matter will increase just because of that.

@@Lawncology Description
I Gallon concentrate Humic Acid. We have used
this product for years with fantastic results! Use in
gardens, houseplants, lawns, trees, greenhouses,

Extracted from ground leonardite, and oxidized

Plant Foods' Liquid Humic Acid is easily assimilated
by plants and some of its main functions include
improving plant immunity, improving plant
metabolism, improving plant root development,
improving the supply of plant nutritional elements
and increasing the formation of ferments. Humic
Acid promotes the increased accumulation of
chlorophyll, sugar, amino acids and more and
improves the efficiency of nitrogen utilization,
allowing for reduced fertilizer rates. One of the
primary actions of Humic Acid is to increase the
plant's ability to withstand the stresses of heat,
drought, cold, disease, insect and other types of
environmental or cultural pressures. Humic also
increases general plant productivity, in terms of
yield, as well as plant stem strength. Within the
soil, humic stimulates soil microorganisms,
promoting Humus.
That's a copy paste from the listing
Are they just claiming their source is 80%?
+Corey Wilder here my thought and I could be wrong. The statement doesn’t apply to the liquid but to the leonardite it’s extracted from. The label shows no guarantee and that’s problematic, you don’t really know what’s in there. I’ve seen as high as 24% in a liquid and it’s practically sludge, it’s intended to be cut in half with water to be useable before even breaking it down further. There’s a company in Canada that does that
Great video... My brain is swelling from what I learned. Going to order the Humic12. Also looking at the root stimulator that helps w summer stress and heat conditions

+Barry Cavanaugh yes, stick with it and the roots will get so big, the OM will improve, and the water will hold longer
+Drew Meyerhoeffer In order to get the powder, they’d have to lose the liquid applied in the reactor
@@Lawncology Mmk possibly precipitated then dehydrated?
Do you feel the same way about soluble kelp vs. your Sea-K?
+Drew Meyerhoeffer I do. Keeps the life intact when you don’t dry it first.

Mark Caldwell good way to go. A little bit of everything
Yeh I switched to DG this year. Humic 12 works really well but doesn't seem to last long. I would love to see some test on how long both stay in the soil for.

The Lawn Mower I am sure Connor Ward will want to be first (or will claim to be first) to use a product like that.
Watched again a season later and got so much more out of video after using all these humic products. Nice job explaining.
Can I use Humic 12 in a pull behind sprayer?
+inf25th yes you can. Easily
+pete detraglia love this! Thank you so much for sharing!!!! 😁😁😁

+sowmyan cs that is fine. Don’t let it sit long in the mixed tank as Humic can break down herbicides faster than being mixed with plain water.
I still don't know how to keep the rabbits off, (I've tried everything) - they even sit on top of the burlap peeing and pooping like they're just waiting for it to come off :-)
PS Like many others (I'm in CA) waiting for shipping to be ok'd

I just want to know. How would I get this in Canada?
I wondered the same thing.
Thank you.
Hi

Do you have any UK distributors for your products?...
Unfortunately we don’t yet
HumiMax
Can I get that in WalMart ? Or home depot? Please
+Chef Santos afraid not, but you can typically find a Humic product at a local
ace or true value
Nice Tag Carrera Chrono! Good info brother
Another great great video. I ran out of everything but humic. I need to call Brad this week and get another package.
+Bird Dog it’s good to have on hand
Can you use this product on palm trees?
You are the man Mr Perry my turf never look so good until I apply humic 12 ever mouth since April🇺🇸👍.
Great demo John! That's why I switched to all liquid products. In particular, NEXT PRODUCTS!
+TMF 8400 we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for your support!!!
That sounds extremely difficult to get down 1 pound of N per 1k every month. Also extremely expensive.
You just dropped some jewels on us to digest. Nice example and explanation of what is actually happening when we apply certain materials to your lawn. Keep the Vids coming John. Class is in session.
+Dean Symister thank you. I’ll do my best!
+The Ellington's awesome. I love stories like this. Keep
Up the great work!!
This is an awesome demonstration and explanation. I can't say I understood everything but I definitely learned some great info here. Thanks for taking me to school this fine Friday morning, John!
+The Lawn Guardian thank you bud! Hopefully that shines some light
Ya first
I use these products and I can tell you the grass root systems are best they have ever been by a long shot and my lawn is very healthy. Roots are growing faster than the mole crickets can eat them, lol.
+Patriot for Truth lol. There’s some very serious wisdom in that... “acceptable levels of infestation.” When a plant is out performing the take down rate of an invasive pest, there becomes time for predators to
Do their role in control
@@Lawncology Let me ask you this please. I had serious take all patch and treated it with peat moss per research. It worked but took over 3 months to be effective. I am thinking that if I used peat and sprayed it with dethatch that it would cause the peat to break down quicker and as a result reach the roots quicker and a quicker healing. I may have discovered something here that could be useful. Can I get the patent LOL. What say you???
Patriot for Truth that sounds very interesting. Maybe there’s a way to replicate it?
So, if granular humic is subpar, why do you have it in CarbonX?
Brandon Hitchcock cause carbon x is a granular? What is he gonna put liquid in it?
Brandon Hitchcock a) not subpar, just different. Liquids just have a better chance for getting into the soil.
B) the formulation and composition of carbon X is done by matt Martin at carbon earth co. I believe they are using a powder for their Humic but I don’t know.
Perhaps because as John said, there is a benefit. Just not the maximum benefit like the H12. Seems common sensical.
@@SexyBootyFart My point is that granular humic is a selling point in Carbon-X. Judging from the information found in this video, it appears that it is not much of a selling point.
How often can you apply your solution to a lawn?
I would love you to see you do an episode of how to improve very sandy soils. Not all of us are on clay soils.
+Joey L that’s very doable.
I have 29,000sqft. How would I apply this without a 2nd mortgage for more lawn equipment? That's why granulars appeal to me, spreaders are cheap and fast. #biglawnsmatter
+Rebecca Cronin there is an option. I will be posting soon.
I would like to know as well because I have 70,000sqft.
In the words of my past crush, “ teacher, there are things that I still have to learn”🎶🎵 This was good-esp for a granular gal who is not used to spraying. Now link that product and do one on your liquid product v other liquid humic products. ❤️
I'm starting to feel like I need to spend more time on Humic videos and really getting the info out there
Lawncology it’s the product I’m most interested in.
Yard Mama alrighty then!
Now, I do not have timing in colonization and I do
Know some labs that can do that. Perhaps that’s a study for the winter
What is GIE?
If Humic12 contains 12% Humic, then what constitutes the other 88%?
can I purchase this product in Canada?
Love the Humic 12, and every other GCF product I have used. You all make great stuff and I appreciate having them in DIY sizes.
+Josh Baker thanks josh!!
Is there a reason why this can't be shipped to Washington state?
Curtis Chadd just waiting on labeling approval

Curious, what do you do with your company's sludge? (Mentioned at around 20 minute mark)
+John H. Seiler we are working on some pretty cool options, a topdressing being one of them. Currently we pump into a retention pond allow some evaporation and then drag it across our field. We’ve been amending the soil at our plant for years
@@Lawncology sounds good. Can't wait to hear what you guys are cooking up. Congratulations on all the success so far!
Lawncology 🤔🤔
when can people in cali buy you product
Deous coming up. We will be reopening some of the more difficult states
Funny you did not mention the deperishable granular. And if it did not break down right away it could work like a slow release. No?
I'm glad I'm not alone in mowing in sandles
+Ben H yeah man, feel the grass right!?
You could go one better and go the American Freedom brand of safety shoes that Brett from Brett’s Grasscapades wears. He swears by them. 😁
Wow! 😱 that was some brain blowing education right there! Thankyou soo much 👍🏾
The reality of all of these products is water is the carrier.
Just bought the bio-stimulant package. Ready for a better looking lawn
+Jay Drennen it’s going to be great. Follow the labels and have fun with it
Thower down
So, sitting here 05:00 with a fine cup of freshly ground Italian roast coffee, I was finally able to get through to the end of the video, and I must say, like a good movie, it was good through to the end.
Thanks,
