  • Fulvic Acid For Lawns. What Is Fulvic Acid? The Humic/Fulvic Relationship.... Hey Everyone! We talked Humic the other day and now we're on to Fulvic Acid for your lawn! While this is used considerably less than humic acid, the effects are interesting to note and see how each of the elements work together and separately.
    You will see what the major difference is between the two, how the can be pulled apart and learn that I love to keep components together! RGS specifically is mentioned here as well as Humic12 from Greene County Fertilizer's N-Ext line.
    Tiny Yeti appearance at 9:07 and we do have a winner.

    Pete Denny at GCI Turf always said not to mix his Natural Adjuvant with Humic12, because activating the NA requires lowering the pH to around 5. Now I understand why. Thanks for the great explanation John!

    Thanks for the great content, John! Informative as always. Brings me back to the video you did about liquid vs solvable Humic acid. Yours is still in solution after 3 days, and it took adding some acid to get the Humic to settle out. I will continue to use your superior products, and look forward to the next video!

    Thanks for the information and unique way to explain all the unique properties of Fulvic and Humates
    That’s a sexy John Deer!!!! lol 😂
    That’s some really really dark Fulvic Acid.
    As everything that I learned from Dr Robert (Bob) Faust who’s pretty much one of the Pioneers in this field of science.
    He’s done of his lifetime of work on the subject matter of Humins/Humate/Fulvic fractionation Ultrafiltration and Nano -filtration taught me that a correctly extracted Fulvic will be Golden Yellow.-Yellow brown respectively.
    Its important to have a superior source of lignite. Start with out of the box thinking and cutting edge Science as they are still coming up with new extraction methods.🤷‍♂️
    Bob told me that the best source of water to use is water that’s never touched the ground (Rain)
    They’ve been catching Rainwater for decades now.
    There’s Fulvic acids in Black strap Molasses as it comes from Sugarcane that have 12-15+ foot roots and most deep root plants contain decent amounts of Fulvic acid.Microscopic yet Fulvic/Humates are such a huge part of soil health-fertility,soil structure,Cation Exchange Capacity,Chelation and many more!

    Loved the video John. I have been using RGS when spraying my pre emergents (prodiamine, Dithiopyr, and or Pennant Magnum). Is that better (RGS), or would Humic 12 be a better carrier for pre emergents?

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  4 роки тому +4

      I would probably go with the humic for the Pre-M app. Youll get more bang for the buck on RGS when the grass isn't dormant

  • @Zebrahead6000
    @Zebrahead6000 4 роки тому +1

    Hmmm, I think you guys gould make a Fulvic fert aimed toward foliar only application. Based on what you've taught me in this and the last video... It seems like it'd make more sense to water in the humic, but not the Fulvic. You could even use it in a Tree-Shrub-Bush situation and apply it with a small handheld pump sprayer instead of having to throw it down with gallons of water. I honestly think that it'd be a huge successful product for you. Even easier to apply for the DIY crowd.

      Thanks I’ll review it. My question comes from a few other granular offerings with humic built-in to their all in one fertilizers. X-Green and Anderson’s PGF completes for example. Granular options give more flexibility to common homeowners but I wanted your opinion and the math to compare.

    6:49 that looks like a tasty stout 🍺 yum yum 😁. Fulvic knowledge in our face, love it thanks for sharing this information with us! What are your thoughts on kelp? I take it that humic, fulvic, kelp all kind of work well in tandem, and compliment each other? I’ve always been curious what the specific application benefits are of each of these. Fulvic Acid is really consider a foliar feed for the leaf blades and roots to take in nutrients. It does aid to help green up faster but, in very low percentage because it's a foliar feed and sprayed in ounces. Since it's foliar feed I suggest to spray in the PM before the sun goes down because, the leafs are wet and stays moist though out the cool evening and early morning. This moist leafs will take in more nutrients for hours then a dry leaf thought out the heat of the day. To help enrich the soil it's also helpful to use granular humic. Both do help in different ways and is beneficial to the lawn. But if you want both leaf and soil to be healthy and enriched. Use both granular and liquid and see greater results quickly and yearly. This feeding though granular and liquid is a working process to weeks, months and years. The more you do this often the greater the soil and leafs will respond. If you can afford to do both I suggest to do that. With doing both, you can't go wrong.

    Question: would fulvic acid release ions to roots in the manner that humic acid does? Does fulvic acid enter roots, if so how does the plant get rid of it? Seems like it could go on forever in the lawn if it does not leach out, which would be a good thing!

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  4 роки тому +1

      The acid will run its course as all things grow and shed, which is why you incorporate into a regular program just like a standard feeding.

    Great video John, reminds me of 8th grade science class with Mr. Swanson!
    Question on the need to water in your products, like RGS- I know they need to hit the dirt, and get into the soil. Can I spray them with pump sprayer then let the rain just water them in? Would it be better to wait until I CAN water it in? (my water isn't turned on yet to the outside) Keep up the great content! Love your channel!
