Yup, mine arrived with a piece out of the casing. When removing the metal strap and changing it for the nato one I saw a piece of metal missing. Seems someone didn't correctly use the milling machine to make the case. How in the hell did that pass quality control is a big question mark to me. Needless to say not happy at all and I stopped looking at this brand. The first and last one. Meanwhile I see the traditional well known brands offering similar watches, only a bit more expensive, but I am very sure they would pass a real quality control and when something wrong you would get real support instead of 'can we give you a discount'.
Even my Casio watches that were 1/4th of the price have all been flawless and I am sure they will still work in 10 years time.
So basically your saying it’s broken because the bracelet has sharp edges?? Really ? Also, this watch uses the VK63 movement made by Sekio. This movement does not change exactly at midnight, but it does change, and is well respected. The “Divers Extension” is actually for fitting it over a race suit, as it is a chronograph and was originally intended for lap timing. I personally think this watch is an awesome bargain for the price.

So very well said and I couldn't agree more. Mine is slightly problem prone as well, but I wouldn't call it broken exactly - occasionally the 60 minute register will not reset to zero, instead resetting to +1 minute. As far as I have been able to discover in my searches, there's no way to fix or reset it. Deal breaker? Absolutely not, and if anyone is to blame, it's Seiko, who makes the movement.
Very pleased with my PD-1701, minor issues are yes, the sharp edges, but with a piece of emery cloth, you should be able to remedy that. The other thing is (weirdly) the spelling on the bezel of 'Tachymetre', on mine it is spelt 'Tachymeter'.
The diver extension is for fitting over your spacesuit.
You did not show what is broken. Does not change date at midnight? But, does it change at all? A lot of watches do not change date at midnight, but before or later.

Ich besitze die Uhr. Das einzige was stimmt ist, das das Band etwas scharfkantig ist. Hab ich mit ganz feines Schmirgelpapier behoben.

Ach die letzte Seiko die ich bestellt hatte habe ich gleich wieder zurück geschickt. Klapperband, billige Blechschließe, Kratzer im Glas (nur Hardlex Glas) der Preis für die Schlechte Uhr 249€.
That’s too bad, I’ve had nothing but good things, thank goodness because I don’t know how they are to work with. So far out of the 4 Pagani watches I’ve had have been good, mine is not that sharp, this watch has been getting so much wrist time. I agree with the extension, I have no idea why they would use that!? Lol
I got this and the v2 as well, both needed work with the sharp edges, I got a gen SMP300, also needed work with sharp edges..
just change the bracelet. im no fan of steel bracelet so i change it to leather.
I don't think the watch is of poor quality, I believe you received a lemon watch which you should've sent back for replacement instead of just focusing on the broken date wheel the whole video. I viewed other watch reviewers' videos on this and considering the price point, it's pretty good, granted, it's fully working.
I mean, I won't go to McDonald's and complain why their burger patties don't taste like kobe beef.

I bought this watch to test it out and see how it lasts since i generally am very tough on watches, My last Tag heur had to be repaired as the dials broke, etc.. I live on a beach area in Mexico and snorkel with it, fish with it, take it mountain biking, use it as a daily driver, bang it accidentally on things, and it still looks like new. I am impressed as very few watches take my type of beatings and still look this way. i just ordered another model to do the same and so far I am impressed with the brand. by the way it is the v3 model and i recieved a 2 year warranty. so maybe this guy has bad luck who knows, but ive beaten up some expensive brands,: seikos, Cartiers, Tags, even a cheap invicta got beaten bad, and thus far, this cheapy is holding up well. The way i see it is you can't loose at this price range.
@@franco05 Right. I also subsequently bought the rosegold / rosegold dial Pagani Daytona. Everything works perfectly including the mecca quartz chrono - So, yes! Guilty pleasures! He! He!

This sounds more like you're detailing your design dislikes over the watch actually being 'broken'. Mechanically sound and overall quality at that price point is better than most found on Ali or other similar sites. A sub $100 US watch with a Japanese VK63 movement, 316L steel, ceramic bezel, and sapphire glass! C'mon man, yes there may be gripes but 'broken' is misleading. PD is one of the companies along with San Martin and others in the microbrand market that 'tries' to continuously improve their products and remain quite affordable to most.
I'm hearing that the bracelet is quite sharp and uncomfortable from some people, other very trustworthy channels find it ok but not great. I think you were unlucky with the stuck date. I've asked many commenters who bought this and had no problems and customers reviews are generally pretty good. I haven't had a Pagani before but just ordered the all blue no date V4 with the Moonswatch look. I've already mentally consigned the bracelet to the recycling bin. Lol. I have some very nice blue NATO straps and a matching FKM rubber band so I'll use one of those. Fingers crossed it will be ok. I haven't had any problems with the Steeldive Tuna, Heimdallr Monster or Addies Pilot style watch. Just 3 AE watches in my 25 watch collection. This new one I hope will be a good alternative to the plastic watch from Omega. I actually have a real Speedmaster but was interested in getting the blue Moonswatch. Then I got my hands on one. Big mistake, It's really trash. I thought this would be a nice way to get the Mission to Uranus look on a steel watch instead of the cheap junk Omega is offering. I'm still disappointed that Omega allowed their name to be put on that thing. Anyway, thanks for the review. Just subscribed.

@@lucianobueno6967 It is very good. It arrived a couple of weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised. Quality is very good for the price. The Seiko mecaquartz is a great movement with a nice clicky mechanical feel to the chronograph pushers, everything lined up perfectly. Lume is fine, as good as you'd normally expect from a chronograph. It came with a free Nato strap which I put on it as the bracelet links were a bit sharp. However I got some 300 grade emery paper and smoothed out the edges of the bracelet and now it's very comfortable so have it back on the watch. Apart from that, it's got solid end links and milled clasp, not so bad. Not sure exactly if it's got AR on the sapphire crystal as the dial is blue, but it is very visible in bright light, not too reflective. And there's no date which does look better. Overall I'd definitely recommend it if you like the look but don't want the trashy plastic Moonswatch.
@@brianmsahin thank you for the attention my friend! That's the usual feedback I hear from most of Pagani design new customers. Haven't pulled the trigger on a PD yet, but I'm seeing myself doing so in a not so distant future. Had nice experience from AliExpress though, with seestern and Hroudland.

I only have 4 Ali Express watches in my 25 watch collection and all of them are very good. This was my first Pagani. I had heard good and bad about some of their watches but I'm happy with this one and I think they're possibly improving over time. 👍👍

I dont understand why and or how is it broken? it looks like a fantastic watch with a great Seiko movement, for a very amazingly cheap price. and 2 years warranty. Who could ask for more??? if its broken elaborate and spend the 4 mins on that and that only. The enfasis on the band etc... is a waste of time. just focus on what was broken and end it. I see nothing broken. and neither does anyone else.
A Timex I have has a defective date wheel..... Crap happens.....
Shame you've got these issues, mine has the same with the bracelet being a bit sharp but the date ticks over fine on my sample. Just goes to show they are a bit of a lottery brand still.

So far, my only QC issue is that about half of the time, pushing the start/stop chronograph button (or the upper right) doesn't do anything. I can't tell if I'm not pushing hard enough, or it's just not responding regardless of the pressure.

Hej, min 1701 v3 är utmärkt, safirglaset är blått I kanterna vid ljus (antireflex) väl lysande lume, aktiverar på kvällen och tiden a läses lätt på morgonen, tiden hålls utmärkt ca 5 sek/6 mån, det medföljande läder/nylånarmbandet är bra. Vad förväntar du dig för ca 100 us dollar???

You are right of course, after all you paid 100$ for it. I can understand your anger. Still I struggle to find in your video where it is 'broken'. If the date does not change precisely at 2400, how far off is it?

@@Fahrenheit1407 it’s a great watch. It works great, and keeps accurate time and looks like a Speedy. The bracelet is pretty good, but the edges are a bit sharp. Overall a great value and overall very good build quality. Get it you won’t regret it. Seiko Mecca quartz movements are very good.

Buying Pagani Design (sarcastic name for a brand indeed), you are buying a stolen watch design, mass produced in one of the countless chinese nameless gigafactories, from a company culture where intellectual property is a joke for dinner (if you want to make all guests laugh very hard...) Just go and buy yourself a nice Tissot, Certina or Glycine and be happy with... Peace brothers!
Why waste your money buying a garbage pseudo fake watch in the first place. Buy a g shock and gave some self respect if you've only got like 100 bucks to spend.
This is what reviewers have to do. Test watches so you don't have to. Unfortunately many of reviewers are paid not like me.
