Hey buddy in between saying woke and blaming car theft on Africans every 5 seconds during your rant, I'm positive you didn't forget but did purposely omit all the white meth feins who use up all the police and ambulance services because they have robbed someone or overdosed, not to mention the the proliferation of free tents, fentanyl paraphernalia anywhere you walk. or look. They are not bringing Africans to Canada for ulteristics purposes, they need people to fund taxes and support the gov't retirement system. I'm positive you are afraid to mention the Chinese but they are everything you hate about black people, which is truly why you can't compete.
I'm Canadian, and all you have said is so painfully accurate 😢, I wish I could prove you wrong, but you nailed it, effortlessly. There is only one thing that you may be wrong about at 14:10; Those are Hungarian and Romani gypsies that Trudeau accepted in Canada after Roumania and Hungary kicked them out to France, and France, under Sarkozy, asked Canada to take them. So I repeat, those are not Muslim; they are, In fact, Christian, but since gypsis are brown and they hate Muslims, who persecuted them before they moved to Roumania, they try to share their shame with Muslims.
@jackie5358 many of them don’t assimilate and taking in so many people when we can’t support them makes the housing and employment situations way worse. But I guess you’re just here to cry “racist” at anything you don’t like
Canada really is the canary in the coal mine. The entire West seems to be in various stages of an existential crisis of identity, but Canada seems hellbent on being the first post-modern National socialist utopia.
oh jeez, John, have you heard of the shit the British government is doing to native born Englanders for expressing criticism against one specific religion?
I am a Canadian who lived in Canada for 55 years. I had to leave because I could no longer afford to live there. While in Canada I paid thousands of dollars in taxes every year to the government. If I ever want to return to Canada, I have to wait 3 months before I can receive "free" healthcare. A newcomer to Canada who has paid $0.00 in taxes is able to receive health care upon arrival to the country. In what world is that fair?

My wife and I left Canada to survive retirement. Worked hard all my life and paid taxes, raised children. We have nothing in front of us in Canada. We now live in Turkey and learning the language. We are so happy to have made the move. All the things that suck in Canada not even exist where we live. Health system is cheap, quick and good, transport is the same, we payed our condo 100k, 1000 sq foot, pool, marble floors and two bathrooms. Condo fees: 40$, Electricity: 40$ Fibre Internet: 12$ Cellphone fees: 12. Turkey is Muslim so we thought it would be a problem. But guess what, people are super friendly and do not care that we are Christians, there is no drugs, no porn, children play outside all day... 🤔 Are we missing Canada? NOT AT ALL.
I will do the same in Greece in a village but Turkey is better because things don't cost as much as in Greece. I believe that Canada in 5 years will be in big trouble.
That’s kind of unavoidable because it’s just a part of human nature to gravitate toward people who look/act similar to yourself. I’m friends with a lot of people with very different backgrounds from me, even in a 3+ year relationship with a Jamaican immigrant, but I’m not gonna pretend that they can 100% integrate with my culture. You have to accept that everyone is gonna stick with their “tribe” for the most part with some exceptions and you can’t really get rid of that part of humanity. It doesn’t need to be forced it just happens naturally within every diverse society, which is unfortunate in some ways but also it’s just the reality of evolutionary psychology.
@@SSurfer1I mean there’s gonna be a population collapse in the next few decades due to contraception and lower fertility rates so yeah we’re probably gonna need some amount of replacement to maintain society after all the older generations die off. I have served in Canada's military for my entire adult life, and I am just about to obtain my pension and there is a good chance I'm out, I'll be leaving this country because its is an unrecognizable shell of the great country it once was when I was a child. Very poor infrastructure, high taxes, poor services, horrible governments of all types and levels, absurd agendas, crime is utterly out of control, and most distressing is the homelessness and drug problems that have absolutely exploded over the past 10 years ..... everything is a shitsaster. A government that despises its own people and sees the population as an inconvenient group of people getting in their way. Time to quit Canada.

@christodd3450 I feel for you brother! We in the US are likely not far behind. Humans are easily manipulated and exploited by the powers that be. Not sure if it will improve
I’m an old boomer Canadian…born and bred. I feel bad for subsequent generations that will never know the Canada I grew up in. Sure it wasn’t perfect by any stretch, but it was definitely better. My dad never finished high school and earned a decent living in a factory punching a time card. On one income, he bought a modest home, raised my brothers and myself, paid off the house, bought a cottage, and managed to have a comfortable retirement. My public education did teach that 2+2=4, not 4-ish or might be 5 or 3. Over the decades, I had a front row seat to the clown world we have today. I really hate it when I hear members of my generation say that “young people just need to work harder” or “they need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps”, it’s much more than that. The trust we used to have in each other is gone now and I don’t know how to bring it back. I miss the old Canada, but the weather always did suck.
I'm 70 born in Canada worked my whole life, retired and now have to pick the odd job to afford daily life. This government is the worst I've seen since Pierre Trudeau.
The problem is also beyond Canada. I work in tourism in Vancouver, and I hear the very same stories from Western Europeans, Australians, New Zealanders, Englishmen, etc. This is the time era we live in today and it all changed within our lifetime. We took God out of our lives, thinking nothing will happen. That is the main reason. We are being given up to those with ‘reprobate’ minds.
Pull yourselves up by your bootstraps. Yeah there’s also millions of more people here now compared to before. The infrastructure to support this population explosion is not there at all. The GTA is so rush rush because getting around everywhere is nuts and this means you can’t talk to neighbours and whatnot. So many things in Canada are a total mess right now. But at the end of the day it comes down to values. Like George Carlin said, garbage in garbage out. The government is a representation of the people and the people have no values anymore except prideful selfish values. They don’t believe in God anymore. The pride crew believes they are gods. So at the end of the day that’s why Canada is dying because more and more people are believing in this godless nihilistic outlook.

Born in Canada, been here for 40 years. The biggest problem I see in Canada is the entire lack of community. When I was a kid in the 90's, everyone in town knew each other. You couldn't do anything in town without your parents hearing about it. Now, your next door neighbor is a stranger and you could hide criminal activity just by going home as no one knows who anyone is. It is this divide that they have used to enforce all of these draconian policies on us and they are just amplifying it with these insular migrant communities. I could honestly see a day where parts of Canada fracture off into New India or New China.

Our own Prime Minster has said on record that Canada is the world's first "post-national state" which means we are not even a nation anymore according to the government who rules us. And you can see this in practice since millions upon millions of "Canadians" identify with the country they immigrated from rather than Canada, and i don't blame them. what is there to identify with? seriously, try talking to some immigrants sometime about what they think of Canada. the only thing that unifies Canadians is the fact that we all pay taxes to the same people.

Add to it what I hear from Dr. Jordan Peterson.
I gotta tell you, it's the same if not worse here in Germany. The thing with Germany is, that in addition to all the taxes, that are ripping off the people taking away their livelihoods, there's also the distinct German lust for over-regulation and making laws for everything. There's nothing you can do without somehow being limited by some random regulation or law, you will constantly bump into some law that forbids you to do whatever you were tying to do, and those laws get worse every day. There's about nothing that hasn't some law applied to it, you can't even paint your own house in the colour you'd like, because the law says it has to fit the general look of the other houses in the street. So over here in Germany people are more or less paralysed because starting something new and creative is quickly crippled by some stupid law by some stupid bureaucrat, who has no connection whatsoever to the everyday life of everyday people. The immigrants back then came here too improve their lives, create a good future for their children, to assimilate into this then respectful and positive Canadian culture where that was prosperity and acceptance. This slowly changed at the turn of this century and then accelerated much more drastically in the last decade or so. Where the respect, gratitude and willingness to become part of the nation as an immigrant has been eroded by ethnic, religious, social, monetary, monetary and political fanaticism to demand their own right to govern to impose their views and not to accept the Canada which was once a friendly, free of religious, ethnic and ideological conflicts.

I have some very bad news: it's too late, Canada has already fallen. What you are witnessing are the slow, dying convulsions and writhing of a dead nation, breathing its last breath. You missed your chance to save her by supporting the two prominent political franchises - owned and controlled not by the people, but those that finance them. It's too late. Try and enjoy what we have left of living before they transition us into a communal 1984 hell as a captured consumer base of selected groups.
The Canada of today is most CERTAINLY not the Canada of 20 years ago, in fact, its almost un-recognizable as the Canada I was born and raised in~ People around the world used to revere Canada as the best country to live in for nearly half a century, but now, the government still rides on the coat tails of that reputation, but make no mistake, the Canada of old no longer exists.
I went to the Canadian exhibit at Epcot in Disney World a couple of years ago and they had a video of Canada. It most have been from the late eighties or early nineties it was sad to see what Canada once looked like to the rest of the world compared to where it is today. Went into my small village grocery store in Northern Ontario today and two Indian ladies were working there. In the last two years my Town went from a few Indians to almost every business in Town being staffed by Indians. My colleague's teenage son was replaced by foreign workers who were given most of the shifts to where he just quit his summer job because there wasn't enough work for him anymore. (I'm told the Government is subsidizing these workers) The rapid demographic shift that is happening in the country is disturbing and feels sinister. This is the fourth community where I've live where this shift happen in my lifetime. Some of my best friend's over the years have been Canadian-Indians but how will the millions of these new people ever integrate if Canadians are a minority? Canadian culture is very quickly becoming a thing of the past and I don't want to live in North American Khalistan/Hyderabad/Chennai but where do you move?
The level of service by these immigrants is that they have brought their own idea of low level service with them..... Most Service Canada agents are from the East. I witnessed a black immigrant agent talk down to an immigrant indian couple, whilst serving them and sucking on a popsicle at the same time. You see what i'm saying...they bring their own ideas on how they will serve you.
I have lived in Canada for 1 year while in high school. The biggest problem for me was the fact that people don't really have much in common with one another. Just like Rich said, they hang out in their ethnic groups and only trade within that group. It is really hard to find commonality to connect with people. Making friends is especially difficult in Canada.
🎯👌💯% Making friends and dating for a potential mate is atrocious in CanaDUH. The same with doing small/medium business aka SMB business because all the multiculturals only give business or employment to their own kind.
@@victordumitrescu7718 Right on the money. Well stated my friend. It sucks to be in this country. I served in the CAF and I am now retired but unable to keep my head above water because of taxes.
@@Headinavise Average NHL player salary is way lower than the other major sports. Net take home for an NHLer is around $1.5m/yr. Life changing money, but not more than an average worker's lifetime earnings either.
@@jfkst1 Really ? A lot of people around here don't get good jobs until 25 or even 30. Lots of in and out part time work. Oil field and construction seasonal work. Educational upgrading. Lay offs : lots of those in Alberta. So lets say you get a good 20 years of employed full time work at $70,000 a year. ( 20 X 70,000) That's 1.4 million. A lifetime of work.
I never thought I’d see the day where I wouldn’t be proud to be Canadian. In fact, as a shock to even me, I’m ashamed and embarrassed to be. That’s a difficult thing for me to say as I used to be such a Canadian patriot. I take no pleasure in feeling this way, but it is what it is. There’s nothing about this country that even remotely resembles the country I once loved. It’s unrecognizable frankly. I can’t love what no longer exists.
I'm in the process of getting out of Canada myself. I've taken all the preliminary steps, paid all the lawyers, etc. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the government to give me the green light/card. Currently considering Texas, Florida, or North Carolina. I even triggered my capital gains ahead of Trudeau's tax increase, so that's the last big tax bill they'll get off me. This country is absolutely finished and Poilievre will not be able to fix it. Any big legislation he'll try to pass will just get shot down by the senate, which Trudeau has packed to the brim with his cronies. Canadians have no idea the kind of damage that's been done already and how much is still to come.
Canadians are extremely naive. When COVID hit early 2020, I was scared, I was telling everyone not to take the money, be a good neighbor, don't overconsume or hoard resources, get back to work and keep things running. We had one chance to make a big positive change, but instead we gave more power to politicians and giant corporations that work together, and drifted farther apart as a society. I was told I was crazy for thinking inflation would only get worse, and there was no turning back now from this situation. When does the government just hand you 2k for doing nothing?
Indiana is not a bad state, although kind of boring. It's conservative and the cost of living is pretty cheap and there is a pretty good job market there.
@@edm9760 I can work from pretty much anywhere since I currently work remotely for a US company based in Portland OR. Obviously, I don't want to go anywhere that city, so I'm trying to find a relatively quiet spot in a red state. I might consider checking out Indiana. Boring totally works for me. Might be nice to have some good food around, though. The fact that Indiana gets snow does give me pause. Having spent 40+ years up here, I'm all tapped out on snow. Granted, the amount of snow in Indiana is a quarter of what Canada gets. My focus is to find a good chunk of land without breaking the bank. You can get some huge homes/plots of land in North Carolina and Texas for a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere, so that's why they're high up on my list right now. Florida's starting to get a little pricey, though. Or at a minimum, you're stuck living on a tiny half acre with an HOA and potentially aggravating neighbors. That's definitely something I'd want to avoid.
@@SayoSaHaIf NC is on your list, check out eastern Tennessee as well. Compare overall taxes including state income tax, property taxes, and sales taxes, etc. Good luck and welcome to US.
Canada does suck! Taxes are way over 50% when you add in all the extra taxes co2 tax, gas tax , alcohol tax, house tax, when you add it all up you probably pay around 70% tax that's 40% too much!

This decline doesn't happen without the consent of the people - voting it into the toilet. Born and raised in Canada. As a teenager I saw this crap on the horizon in the late 80's, accelerated during the 90's and has absolutely avalanched in the last 10-15 years. Fortunate to get an opportunity to leave 25 years ago. Visiting family is a reminder of how bad it is in Canada ....
A decline does not always have to be consented by the people. Being deceived is the oldest trick in the book. I feel we are being led astray by misleading politicians. Trudeau has yet to answer a question. That’s not normal.
As an American I tried to relocate to Canada, but didn't "qualify" owing to my lack of wealth and a high-paying career. Apparently you can only get into Canada if you do it it illegally.
I recommend crossing in Quebec at Roxham Road. The RCMP will greet you and carry your bags over the border, sign you up for government cheese, provide a place to stay and the rest is up to you.
Great video, everything 100% true. I'm glad you brought up the Blackmarket Firearms. As someone who has worked in cross border logistics, and international shipping for over 15 years, its absolutely insane that the CBSA and RCMP are inspecting less than 1% of trucks crossing the broder, less than 1% of shipping containers and less than 0.01% of freight trains. Air freight is almost never inspected. STATSCAN and the CBSA estimate, that 900 illegal guns a day are crossing the border from all sides. Meanwhile, the LPC is willing to spend $10+ billion dollars, to ban legal gun ownership, while saying no Canadian has the right to self defense. Canadians are sheep, for criminals and migrants to slaughter.
Meanwhile the same people hire bodyguards and law enforcement to protect them with firearms. But common citizens are not allowed and can't defend themselves. Make it make sense
Hello from your neighbor here to the south! Yeah, just as an American, I'll never forget the chill that went down my spine when I heard Trudeau use the phrase "people who hold unacceptable opinions"!
I travel into Canada for business. One time, outside of Toronto, my wallet was stolen by a pickpocket. I called the police and they told me that they no longer come out for such a thing. If i wanted to file a report, I would have to have an itemized list of everything in the wallet, the numbers of every card, the expiration dates of every card, along with the CVC. I laughed and told them if i had all of that, I'd have my wallet, and I hung up on them. That privatized police force you got up there is all but useless!!
It’s not privatized. The RCMP is the equivalent of the FBI, and each city and town as City police. Plus we have sheriffs and peace officers. All are government, and payed by the taxpayer.
CanIndianada is a WoMAN's country, like California and any Leftist Stare here in the US. The problem began when we gave them the vote. Way too emotional for such a responsibility.
In the 1960s and 70s, my parents and some of their friends left authoritarian Yugoslavia for Canada. Now, some of their children are leaving Canada for the same reason. I personally know at least 10 people who left Canada permanently in the last few years.
For sure. I know a few people from former Yugo who went back(one went to Serbia and another to Bosnia). Cheaper homes, food, fairly safe, etc, and so overall standard of living isn't too bad at all.
Yep many immigrants from the 90s and 00s went back to their countries and many white Canadians have left the big cities like Toronto since the plandemic, it's really noticable, I'm an immigrant that came as a kid in the 90s and it's not the same, Toronto is falling apart year after year social wise, importing 3rd world Indians by the millions is insane
Thanks very much, very well articulated. I'm a 72 year old British immigrant , my family came here in the 50's and I agree with everything you've said. I have experienced the same. Canada was a great place to grow up in the 60's and 70's, now not so much. I'm fearful for the kind of country my children and grandchildren have to live in.
I MOVED TO CANADA IN 1999 BUT IN 2011 AFTER I SAW THAT CANADA WAS A BIT WOKE, YES BACK THEN IT WAS STILL A BIT WOKE, ANYHOW, I WENT BACK TO VISIT IN 2023 AND I NOTICED A HUGE DEGRADATION OF SOCIETY, A LOT OF PEOPLE ASKING FOR MONEY INSIDE THE MALLS, HARDCORE MUSLIMS ASKING WHAT RELIGION I WAS, NO REAL CANADIANS AROUND IN MISSISSAUGA, A LOT OF SIGN ON PUBLIC BUILDINGS SAYING "DO NOT MISTREAT OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, EVERYTHING WAS MORE EXPENSIVE, CRIME WAS RAMPANT, SOMEONE GETS SHOT AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND A MESSAGE ON THE RADIO SAYING THAT CANADA CREATED 30,000 JOBS IN THE FIRST QUARTER....BUT THEY LET 300,000 PEOPLE IN, EVEN LIVING IN MY THIRD WORLD COUNTRY BEFORE WAS A LOT BETTER THAN WHAT CANADA HAS BECOME NOW.
I'm 26 years old, married and living paycheck to paycheck. I'm not a big spender I live quite frugally. I'm in school to become a licensed automotive technician and with the way this country is being run I can barely afford to live and save anything for my future.
As a DIY working on my own cars...older cars, they can not pay you guys enough to work on these newer pieces of garbage that the car manufactures are selling as automobiles. Flat rate bullshit, need your own tools etc.
310T licensed tech here. I highly recommend going into truck. It pays hourly. Its a bit more open space to work on than cars. Its better job security because your job helps support the distribution industry.
The problem with Canada is that everything is so government regulated. Seems to me like a caged society. I'm 27 from Mexico and a friend my age started his own car mechanic shop and he's almost paid for his own house. No government license needed and he's been in the business since he was like 16 as an apprentice. The dude works hard and has my utmost respect. I can call him on Sunday at 8 pm for a job and totally expect him to come and work until 1 am. Just did that some weeks ago hehe.
The only difference between Canada and the Titanic is that the Titanic had a band. Every leftist in Canada is as useful to the nation as a chocolate teapot. The only way to make it work is to live far from the cities, which usually equates to living in the north, or far north. Then you have the trade off of two-three month summers, and living like a pioneer in very primitive communities. I’m Canadian, and I’ve always hated the place, despite being an outdoorsman with sailing, climbing, hiking, etc being staples in my life. I’d happily leave tomorrow, but cannot.
There will be no difference with any party “elected” in Canada. Conservatives are just controlled opposition. I think Canada is doomed. It is happening all over the world.
I hated Canada in the 70's under Trudeau Sr. and now I hate it even more under the Castro Jr. I am starting to look at another place to live with my son. There is no future for him in Canada.
I’m ex-Canadian. I looked into moving back, but Trudeau has so screwed up the country I decided against it. Taxes, regulations, housing costs, food costs all way too much. The Medical system isn’t very good. I cant imagine any business wanting to locate up in Canada. Alberta and Saskatchewan should bail and join the U.S.
Canada is what California wants to be, only they have better weather and more people, LOL. I live in Arizona and left California in 2012, so I watched the state continue to fall over decades. The people keep voting with their feelings for "free" stuff over freedom and they are doomed. Also, like in Europe, no one is going to have children if they can't get a home and have half their income stolen from them, which is why they prefer to bring in foreigners and pay them to come and stay at the expense of citizens, just like in the USA. On the Medical Front, I have personally met and talked with two sitting members of Parliament that came to Arizona for Cancer treatment and both were told in Canada to go home and get their affairs in order as their was no hope for them. When they arrived in Arizona, they were told the opposite and both were treated and went into remission for years. Since they they were rich, they could afford treatment, unlike the Serfs they lord over. Same goes for EU politicos that come here and do the same. Personally, if you can Rich, move to Dubai and pay zero tax, if you can. Good luck.
I left Britain 30 years ago. I could see Britain going downhill rapidly with immigrants cost-of-living taxes and so on so I decided to move to Canada become a Canadian and lived there for 27 years. I thought it was a great country but the last two years of being in Canada, I could see the same problem that’s happening in the UK so I decided time to move on again now I’ve moved away from Canada. I’m actually living in Thailand and loving it. Great weather very cheap. I don’t miss that snow.
I first realized Canada was becoming a third world nation when I went to Guildford Mall in Surrey in late 2023. Most of the shoppers did not speak english. You had to be careful how you walked in the mall as people would bump into you, even though there was lots of walking room. When I went to Walmart, and sat in the McDonalds, eating the horrible food, a woman plopped herself down at my table, pulled out a breast and breast fed her baby in the middle of the McDonalds. I knew right then and there what Canada was becoming.
I live in the UK, and Politically/Culturally etc etc, the UK and Canada has always been very similar (way more similar than the UK and US). But it is really sad to see where both countries are heading.
At least Trudeau's popularity has plummetted and will be kicked out of government next year, with a centrist party replacing him. The UK has gone in the opposite direction by electing Blair 2.0. I think the UK will overtake Canada on the race to the bottom quite soon.
I lived in Canada for 43 years, originally from the UK, and after all that time, i went back to the UK because Canada is sooooo expensive. BC weather isn't bad. OMG taxes are disgusting
I'm so annoyed with this values BS. People don't matter, values do. No. People create values. Canada is Canada because specific set of people came to this land and they built Canada. If Indians or Chinese came, Canada would be very different. People matter. Blood. Soil. Ideas. They are all connected.
The infrastructure has already been built by other people and their tax dollars. That's what they come for. It would be a different story otherwise. They're looking for a better and easier life -- until they realize the gigantic cost of living.
Born, raised and will die here. 3 men in our family fought for this country. And now we're circling the drain because feelings take precedent over facts. 💪🏾🇨🇦🤜🏾
We left Canada in 2021. Did our permanent residency in Panama within 3 months. Now we are travelling the world and have been through Europe and are now in South East Asia. I think the best scene and environment I have been in is south east Asia. I’m a former soldier for the Canadian army. I don’t plan on returning to Canada. Many better options worldwide after having travelled extensively.
I’m from the USA. I have been all over Canada. Did the Alcan three times. Lived in Detroit and did daily deliveries to Windsor. 2012 ish Canada was a great place. Nice people. Basically my brothers. Last summer I was in Calgary. Socialist mayhem. I’ll never go again. That was it for me. I will greatly miss seeing the Northern lights in the Yukon. Beauty at its finest.
Definitely agree that it's becoming like a 3rd world country. I myself immigrated here from India 20 years ago as a student but I'm disappointed with the decline in the overall quality of life. My parents decided for me to move here otherwise I would have gone to the USA if I had a choice. It's too late for me now and frustrating because it seems like an irreversible process of decline. The big problem for me is high immigration and taking refugees. Recently it's become an open door where we don't take the best eligible ones and instead take people who're a burden to the system. Why should we be altruistic and take refugees when Canada isn't responsible for any of the recent major conflicts? Why should my tax dollars pay for them? I was glad to be in Canada to escape values and problems of the 3rd world, but now we're importing them.
As a vaste country i think that the best way to solve the immigration problem in Canada is to allocate each ethnicity or religion an autonomous territory to administer . Living with people you know offers more security ,and reduces tensions between different races..

As a Canadian who was born in Montreal and spent half of his life there and the other 50% out in British Columbia I can tell you what he says about the weather is absolutely true. At times Montreal was so cold it was almost too hard to describe. Vancouver is much warmer but the rain is depression inducing and it will affect your mental health unless you are a cyborg.

Canada has fallen. It's a totally different country than it was as recently as 10-15 years ago. Poilievre winning the next election will makes things a little better, but as Rich mentioned, don't expect him to rock the boat and change a lot. I'm exiting asap. I'll go where I'm treated better.

I just became a Canadian citizen about 6 months ago. I legitimately wish you were wrong but you nailed every single point. I've lived in Vancouver (Port Coquitlam) for 5 years now, and the cost of living is just insane here. Taxes are outrageous, the healthcare in most areas is subpar at best, no one can find a family physician (they aren't accepting new patients anywhere), the weather is gross, homelessness is rampant - especially in the downtown areas off of Hastings, and don't even get me started on housing. People probably think you are making it up about the $2 million number but it's exactly the same here. I live in a townhouse (shared walls on both sides), it is 1300 square feet and it was almost $900K. I'm not making that up. How anyone survives here is a complete mystery. I love the people, the views are just incredible but I'm not sure how much longer we can last with the excessive costs...
Why did you waste your time getting a citizenship everybody out there laughs at? Hopefully it's not too late for you to get something better. This place sucks big time.
@@mitch511 - I hear you Mitch. There are other places in Canada more reasonable from a cost perspective. I prefer the milder climate and being close to the water here in Vancouver. Who knows, maybe I'll relocate to Van Island. There are definitely more reasonably priced homes there. We'll see.

I was being convinced by family to leave Australia and come to Canada, as it was ‘so much better’. This was in 1988. I have lived in BC ever since. It’s beautiful here but I have seen the start of societal decline to the point, I have never seen anywhere. Trudeau excellerated this to unprecedented levels.

Problem is most western countries are heading down this same path. Multiculturalism and woke policies have destroyed Canada.
I have some very bad news: it's too late, Canada has already fallen. What you are witnessing are the slow, dying convulsions and writhing of a dead nation, breathing its last breath. Try and enjoy what we have left of living before they transition us into a communal 1984 hell as a captured consumer base of selected groups.
The Canada of today is most CERTAINLY not the Canada of 20 years ago, in fact, its almost un-recognizable as the Canada I was born and raised in~ People around the world used to revere Canada as the best country to live in for nearly half a century, but now, the government still rides on the coat tails of that reputation, but make no mistake, the Canada of old no longer exists.
what name would you give it
I went to the Canadian exhibit at Epcot in Disney World a couple of years ago and they had a video of Canada.
(I'm told the Government is subsidizing these workers)
The rapid demographic shift that is happening in the country is disturbing and feels sinister.

Granted, the amount of snow in Indiana is a quarter of what Canada gets.
My focus is to find a good chunk of land without breaking the bank. You can get some huge homes/plots of land in North Carolina and Texas for a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere, so that's why they're high up on my list right now.
