oh.. I'm not exactly sure what your knob tweaking does. What settings would be needed if you wanted your bass to DUCK down when your HH plays.. (kind of the opposite of what you are doing)
@@Tutorial_ism oddly enough , that’s what i did. i’ll redo it and watch carefully. although it may be due to my cubase going wonky. my hub didn’t show any files … and my snap didn’t engage. yesterday i did a preferences/factory reset and those problems disappeared!

Thanks Angelina. I didn’t actually end up buying Pro-Q3 but I did get the demo and make a video on it when it first came out. You might have to search my channel back to a year or two ago to find it but I can’t remember if I actually used the sidechain, but I was using it to separate the kick and bass using the dynamic EQ if memory serves correct
excellent !.. i just tried SQUASHER and i have a question... I have a synth (its an arpeggiated bass triggered by one note)... I wanted to bring in the pumping at bar 4. I placed squasher into an automation track, and dragged down the level to zero, from bars 1 to 3. Oddly enough , when i playback the song, the first section is un-pumped, as i want it, but the volume is lower than when the squasher effect comes in in bar 4. I just added automation to the volume to fix the situation, but that seems like a workaround... Any idea why this happens ? When i turn the effect off and on manually, the volume is always constant...p.s. i just subscribed to your channel. that should keep me busy for the winter steve
It could be a number of reasons - plugin dependant - but unless you are specifically wanting to automate volume levels, it is best to control whether a plugin is on or off by either automating the bypass or the dry-wet

You would need to take the side-chain input from the HH
