Hoodoo Tempest 120P Kayak Review-Initial Thoughts and Impressions

My Hoodoo Tempest 120P pedal kayak arrived today(08-17-2023).
It spent almost 4 weeks coming from Huston,Texas, to where I currently reside in California.
The initial order was on July 19,and it was shipped on July 21.
So,it spent a total of 27 days on the road as it was shipped via truck freight,and if you've ever shipped something via that method, you know how slow it can be!
Was it worth the wait?
Yes. This is a beautiful kayak.
It is sturdily built, and I think that the quality of this kayak is up there with similar, higher priced kayaks, like Old Town.
But at a fraction of the price.
Is it perfect?
No.
There are a few things that I'm not too thrilled about, but overall I'm happy with my purchase.
Would I recommend this Hoodoo Tempest 120P?
Absolutely!
If you're looking for a good deal on a pedal kayak, this one is hard to beat!

Thanks for the in-depth look at this model. I've been looking at Hoodoo kayaks for a couple years due to the low cost. This really piques my interest now.

I ordered mine on July 16 and took delivery on 8-22 over a month to get from Texas to Michigan. They are well built and a little bit wobbly in the primary stability, but the secondary is not too bad! I can stand and fish easily. I also had to trim the cover for the pedal drive so it fit better. Also the supplied paddle is a bit too short but useable. All in I would recommend it to as a entry level peddle kayak. But be prepared to for a long shipping date! Order it asap because they are sloooow to ship.
