lol it’s so funny seeing this because at one point this was all we had for natural hair and all I used so of course it works ...it was all we had at one point 😂 it’s the mother of all products
You so right!!!! We kept it simple and our hair was growing. I kept it simple. I still use pink luster and old good Dax or blue magic and castor oil.
If sure is . They just want us to spend our hard earnings on products that will only keep them richer. Shit I’m using what I know best and I never had an problem with it at all . I’m back Pink ! Lol it’s the best and some aloe gel . That’s all I’m using for now on ...
There’s a reason these old school products like PinkOil, BlueMagic,Dax Sulfur 8 been around for over 50 years! I’m a late 50s -60s kid & my mom used Dixie Peach, Sulfur 8, & some great grease called Formula X. Had hair down my back ! Wore a huge Afro in 60s thru 70s & used PinkOil & grease. I’m senior now & tried some of the new stuff after wearing curly perms in 80s KinkyCurly was the best when I went back to natural in 2010 . Great for summer wash n goes but back to BlueMagic & PinkOil in fall & winter! OLD SCHOOL IS TRUE SCHOOL !!!
Exactly! That and MAYBE the VO5 tube of hair grease, but that never worked very well for me (the vO5).
Still use it along with afro sheen. Neither have failed me yet, unlike all this high priced organic stuff.

Right people be going crazy over these expensive products but my mom used grease pink lotion braided my hair put some bo bos in it and I was good 💕😂

I use to use it as a little girl back in Jamaica and yes it works like magic. Why did we stop using it. It was the best moisturizer out there along with blue magic or Dax hair grease. I am going back to it. When I looked at my pics my hair was so shiny and bountiful.

I’ve always known it as Pink lotion. The original bottle looks different than this one, it was a darker pink with a brown cap.

That kept my ends nice and sealed. My hair was long and nice.

I am 4b/4c and I use it with blue magic hair grease the same way we used it back in the day I have a container with both of them mixed together and it works better for me than alot of the expensive product I have. Also I live in Louisiana and it still works well with all the humidity.

Do you skip sealing the mixture on your hair?
Do you use a leave in conditioner before applying your pink lotion then your hair grease? I know you’re mixing both of them but do you need to remoisturize your hair during the same week?

Yes ma’am I used soooo many organic and high end leave ins and they did nothing for my straight/wavy arab hair with dry root at my bangs/edges.
I went back to this and that was it! It’s the best!
My mom told me to go back to this for my kids lol i have all girls under 5

Thank you for your honesty @ the end of the video. That was my findings when I used to use pink moisturiser back in the day, hair DRY and brittle. I haven't used it in years since my early 20s and im 35 now.

I love that you’re trying these old school hair products. I had the same problem with pink oil back in the day. It would look and feel bomb going on but later on my hair would be PARCHED!
When I was a little boy in California my mom use to put this in my hair. Now I'm 32 and i use this im my 360 waves 😎💯
My hair is low porosity and I use the light version because it doesnt have patrolatum in it. It's the aloe Vera jojoba oil version. It's beyond great for my hair. Keeps my ends from getting dry and tames frizz. there's a reason most hair dressers dont advertise 100% natural hair care. A lot of it simply doesnt work. We just tell ourselves since something is all natural it must be better 🤦
Agreed, I blow dry my hair once a week on low heat and it works for me. I can't have my hair all tangled and matted from "all natural method." With natural hair you have to do what works for you.

It’s so funny because I just brought this from Walmart! I was like let me try this again. My mom used to use this on my plaits when I was little. My hair was healthy and great.
Funny this video came out. Just went through my fourth big chop, (yes I know, lol). Starting to think I like short hair better than long hair. I bought this last week. I used this underneath my Eco Styler Gel, and I did'nt have to add anything, or do anything in my hair for a week. It literally a full week. So this stuff does indeed work, reguardless of what some people may say

I don't follow natural hair rules I will use hair grease and products with sulfated silicones mineral oil and petrolatum in them.
It seems to make my hair dry after a wash. I use it on dry hair. It's better for me
I used this on my sons bouncing curls and it’s the BEST!! it used to be called Pink Lotion and it was amazing! 💕
When I use this product, I wet my hair then apply it every day. The amount u used for one twist is what I use for my whole head. And my hair is 4c half as long as urs. Maybe use a leave-in first. And u don't need so much.
I love the video. I ve been using lusters since 2017.I used to use panteine hair cream on my hair and it just took it out.So I switched to lusters pink and now its healthier and thinker.I relax my hair.

Applied the Luster's pink oil moisturizer to my naked hair two days ago after clarifying. Made my hair so dry.
Yeah.. dryness with this product is still an issue for me.. I tried ORS moisturizer and I didn’t have this issue anymore.
I recently brought a bottle & the formula definitely changed as well as the smell..
The smell is definitely different, I hate the smell now, it use to smell so good.
Shay's World Right! It smells like chemicals.. I used it & my hair loved it for that moment but it made my hair a knotty mess after some hours.. 🤦🏽♀️

DSFAVORS I used oil right after applying the pink but my hair was just a oily DRY & knotty mess. I want to try it again but with blue magic as my follow up instead of oil. Kinda scared lol

This was THE product back in the day, everybody was using it! My son was using it on his hair, but stopped, said he didn't like the way it felt. I was thinking about using it, but now, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll give it a try before my next wash day. 🤷

Its my new staple product. It leaves my hair so soft and shiny. I mix it with Blue Magic Carrot Oil cream. My hair comes out so soft, with definition and has body for days! I'm in love with these products and they are affordable.

I think its great , but like most drying products I think just put your oils in your hair , that should help. Yes my mom used that on my hair when I was a child. So yes that's old school. 😁
I'm sorry I can not remember if I did or didn't use this as heat protection for blow-drying when I was younger....many old school products have changed their formula.
It made my hair dry when i was relaxed. So i can imagine on my natural hair. No thanks 😂🤣. I dont go by CG method, never have. I go by what my hair loves, natural or not.....loved the vid tho.

I use to use grease and this when I was relaxed. My hair loved grease wh÷n I was relax but hated that pink lotion. But now that I'm natural untried grease my hair felt horrible. Took me good shampoo and conditioner to get my hair back to normal but when I seen the pink lotion the new bottle on target website I said I have to try it and do a review. But I love your hair. The curls are so bomb and your hair looks so moisturize and hydrated
