- Hey you guys! So a lot of you have been recommending me to try Pink Lotion on my hair, so of course, I had to try it. We all grew up on pink lotion, jam, grease, etc. and back in the days, I used to have a love/hate relationship with it. Watch me try Original Lusters Pink Lotion on my natural hair, and see how it worked!

My mom used pink lotion and water on our hair religiously and we all had long healthy hair
I think the pink lotion changed it was thicker back in the day and the smell was stronger my hair loved it but I was relaxed back in the day

pink lotion lite was the jam back in the day. It wasn't so thick and got the job done.

I just was talking about this the other day. My mom grew my hair half way down my back with pink moisturizer. It literally is more moisturizing for me then oils & creams

My mom used this on my sister's and my hair when we were kids. We all had hair down our backs and my middle sister had tailbone length hair. Pink lotion is awesome to me, I don't know why i stopped using it.

@@Justlily22 the pink lotion itself doesn't grow your hair, but your hair routine does as far as how you take care of it. I'm natural.. I don't hair type all I know is my hair is extremely curly.

Pink lotion has all of the ingredients on a present day naturals No-No list lol😅😂🤣, but I’d still use it on my natural 4c hair if I need to, like I still use the S curl activator moisturizer spray every week on wash day and my twist stay moisturized for over a week. This definitely brings back sooo much memories though.

I love it on my 4c hair. I use it as a detangler. I just it as a prepoo detangler if my hair is badly knotted. Also on my ends to prevent single strand knots. It's greasy for about a day, that feeling goes away after my hair fully absords the moisture
Is this good for low porosity 4c hair?
I'm think the pink oil is actually a sealant so use it after using a leave-in or moisturizer.
I stopped using it because they changed the formula and the fragrance. It smelled different and the results were different

In my teens i would use this on my relaxed hair and I too had a love hate relationship because everyone was using this and it didnt work for me and made my hair greasy but dry! And that stuff was a no no for my natural hair in the early days, did nothing for it but left it dry!

My mom used this religiously when I was a kid & I had healthy thick hair. I occassionally use the Light Pink Oil Moisturizer when my hair feels dry (or blue hair grease) 🤷🏽♀️.
It works great for me, wet the hair a lil bit with a spray bottle and it moisturizes good! Love

I have the light pink lotion version and I can honestly say that my hair is gonna like this tomorrow when I wash my hair and do some flat twists tomorrow morning. I did like a trial and error test on one twist and I can honestly say that it didn’t dry my hair out, and it gave me great definition.🙌🏾

I used this back in the day but my hair was damaged from a relaxer. I cut it all off & re-grew it, so I wonder how it’d look on my hair now. I’m using old school products. B4 they was shea moisture, as I am, Cantu etc. I’m gonna use Care free curl activator too

I don’t cover my hair at night either. lol I sleep on it and fix it daily. I wrap the do rag and bandana and layer and still it always falls off. I try to sleep more conscious and soemtimes no.

My mom would use this if she didn’t have anymore of this she’d use a cream called Liv the funny thing though she’d use water olive oil this or liv I guess you can say she was doing the LOC method back then lol my hair was healthy too
