I congratulate how well you took not losing on the scale this month. I often remind myself of what Dr. Berry asks, "Do you want to lose weight or fat?" If you lost inches, you know you lost fat; good for you!!!! A strong marriage is the most important part of being a family. I hope your workouts with Patrick go great! Good luck this month. You are looking wonderful.

    You are doing great!
I've done carni for about 1.7 years now. I go by size and not weight. I was a size 12 at the start and now stable size 4 for a year. When I started, I went by weight loss. But I notice that the physical changes were what mattered. There were times I lost NOTHING and went down in size. The main thing was the healing of my body after years of toxic "nutrition".
I find that I weigh a lot more than people assume due to my size...yay muscles!

November was rough for me too…. Between Halloween and Thanksgiving and being a recovering binge-eater, all I did was maintain my 20 lb weightloss from October. Anyways super proud of you!! Don’t quit 💪 ❤

I'm so glad I found your video. I'm 20 days in on this carnivore journey. Discouraged the scale isn't moving and I am not seeing loser clothes yet. I do feel less inflammation in my knees. Hope to keep going. I have 70 lbs to lose. Thank you for your videos.

I had some days where I slipped in November and already this month. Last weekend, we had a huge family trip for Christmas at a cabin for 2 days and I cheated the whole time. It took me 5 days to fully recover from that disaster. 😑 I’m now back to feeling better and realizing that I just can’t do that anymore! You look amazing! ☺️ Looking forward to more videos!

I’m moving back low carb. I did 45 days of carnivore in January and it was fine but I had major surgery and couldn’t stomach much of anything let alone meat. Since then I hopped on and off trying to do it again. Haven’t mentally been able to. But I’m planning to do so again on Jan 1. It’s a fresh date beyond the holiday temptations. My ultimate goal is to be more ketovore but starting carnivore feels to me like a good reset.

You should be very proud of yourself! It was hard, growing up (I'm 65), because I was tied to a scale to be model thin. After yo-yo dieting with various plans, I discovered I was starving myself to be "model" thin. One thing I've learned but still have trouble with is to ignore the scale and, like you said, be aware of how I'm feeling, if my clothes fit better, is my health better, do my joints hurt less, do I have more energy. These factors are so much more important than trying to weigh 120 lb. (I'm 5'8"). I've got a long way to go but I'm feeling better and sleeping better. My goal now is to weigh between 165-170 lb. (currently at 285 lb). If I get there sooner than a year--great! If not, doesn't matter because I will still feel so much better! Thank you for sharing what you went through--it means a lot!

A lot of great advice here others in the comments. I can just speak on postpartum D. I had it so badly with my second child. I got up everyday read my Bible and made it a point to take Daily walks at the park or around my neighborhood, sit out in the warm sun and get some sun on sunny days. At that time I was eating keto so I made it strict keto and ate lots of probiotic rich foods and or fermented foods. My PD went away completely by month 3. This is not what you have to do but having a routine like you have planned is key for your healing journey also please surround yourself with family and close friends when you feel those Hormonal dumps, Of course check in with your Dr.. Praying you find that balance. Also Carnivore as we know, is so healing. Those hormones will balance and you will feel amazing.

That’s why I can’t have a cheat meal or anything. It only works for me to go hard for as long as possible. One cheat meal turns into days of cheating. I find weighing myself often helps me get back on track when I start heading in the wrong direction.

    • @SunnyDays00
      @SunnyDays00 Місяць тому +1

It is interesting to me why people can't have a cheat day and then get right back on. I reached my goal of losing 20 pounds and since then I do take cheat days when there is some good happening..like a fish fry or a family get together.. I enjoy the food and the am.happy to get back on my plan. The longest I pushed it was three days on vacation. That did give me a flare-up of joint pain.. one meal or one day is fine..just not too often I guess..

Yay, so happy to see a new video. I am enjoying following you. I have had a roller coaster carnivore experience so I can relate. Cheering you on 🎉 I am committed to a year of getting healthy without weighing and I also have 100 to release. The scale has always derailed me. Instead of looking at my body as fat I am seeing it as sick and that is enough of a mind shift for me to keep going. I can have compassion for myself being sick while fat generates negative self thoughts.

You are doing great! Great job! That is wonderful that you lost inches even though the scale didn't change. I was on plan for a little over 2 months. I ate off plan on Thanksgiving and I ate leftovers the next day and then ai got right back on plan. I think it took me 4 days to get back to my pre-thanksgiving weight. Then, a week after Thanksgiving we had a lady's christmas brunch at church and the next day we had a cookie social so I let myself eat whatever with intentions of getting back on plan again. But, I'm still off plan and I have not been eating well. Now ilI have christmas and my birthday and new years coming, and then I'm getting back to it. Glad you are doing good!! ❤

Love that you’re clearly reducing weight. Must be a great feeling.
Just saw a video of Ken Berry talking with Max German about dairy and how it can hamper our Carnivore goals. He says, dairy is for babies. Have you considered cutting dairy? I know we’re different but I didn’t have any dairy until hitting goal weight (no scales). Now I have a little cheese and lactose free yoghurt. Have stayed at comfy weight for a year now. Happy Carnivoring. 👏🇦🇺

    • @carnivorecouple

I have thought about cutting dairy. Right now, I’m not at a place / been this weight / not losing that I want to cut it. Dairy is a staple for me, and I only want to let go of it when I have to / ready to. I’m sure I’ll have to eventually, but for right now… just not yet. Thanks for watching!

I am carnivore since July 2023 and never been happier or healthier. But the ride has had ups and downs. The addictions in society are terrible and Im not sure I will ever be immune or "recovered" completely. Cheating sucks and I hate it. You have an amazing support system. I currently do not, so it is a bit more challenging shall we say. But I'm up for it, I AM CARNIVORE! I am trying the content creation thing, just not sure how passionate I am.

@carnivorecouple the chica with the hippie glasses, the primal bod, chronicles her clinical experience. Gabriel Lyon pounds the table about women getting bioavailable protein. Dr kiltz. Women are socialized to think they're being healthy by eating low nutrient fiber over meat. Whenever the body gets the building materials it builds the body stronger.
You can check most health books and do the math for the amount of protein you used to eat on sad. Consider you'll probably calculate half of the gram of protein per pound of ideal bodyweight. Then consider the anti nutrients inhibiting that protein. Unfortunately wheat and carbs inhibited the protein and nutrition absorbtion so a lot of us were rocking a third of the protein needed.

Sorry to bother you,Allow to post my case and share my cannivore story:
I have been eating a carnivore diet for over 11 months. However, for over 12 weeks, I have been eating only chicken thighs (roast chicken most of the time). I am Brazilian and here in Brazil, red meat is very expensive due to the increase in inflation.
I have lost some body fat, but only in the initial 3 weeks. (I have gone for over 3 months without losing body fat eating red meat)
I eat 1.2 kg of chicken thighs for lunch and 7-9 whole eggs for dinner (in a 6 hour window). I still have at least 4-6 kg of body fat to lose to reach my goal of getting below 15% BF. (My weight is +-80 kg)
I am 35 years old, 180 cm tall and I go to the gym 3 times a week. (I do resistance training to help build muscle and lose body fat)
I am around 20% BF and would like to get below 15% BF. I have all the trouble losing body fat on the carnivore diet. (I have not lost much body fat in my carnivore experience. Regardless of whether I eat meat or chicken)
Let me ask you a few questions about the carnivore diet, in my situation:
1- Should I start using the CICO model to lose the last 10-15 pounds of body fat that I still need to lose?
2- Can someone follow a cannivore diet if they can only afford chicken?
3- What would you recommend for those who only have the financial resources to buy chicken? Or for those in this situation, it might be better to not follow a carnivore diet. Maybe a ketogenic diet?
PS: I am a healthy man with no health problems or chronic diseases and I started the carnivore diet to improve my body composition (mainly to lose body fat) without starving myself or counting calories (CICO MODEL)
    Thank you very much!
