My favorite switch accessory was this rubbery case that had a detachable flap that would cover the screen. It also has some slight grips to it too which was nice. It served as a grip and a super lightweight case that adds no severe bulk to the device.

That is my favorite too! I feel like no one is talking about it. One thing, I’m considering getting the split pad pro, but will it fit on the case? Since there are little prods form the back of the split pad pro

On Skull & Co’s losable small piece, i actually did lose that locking piece for the top of the grip thanks to a certain 2 year old gamer of mine. I emailed them and while they dont offer that specific replacement, they said if i reordered the whole grip and provided them the order number, they would refund the cost of the order minus shipping. Not a perfect solution but pretty cool of them.

I never used any alternatives on my OG Switch, but noticed more weight on the OLED that led to more discomfort. I invested in the Grip Case From Skull & Co and i love it. @@escapetherace1943 I think switch most games nintendo made themselves run and look pretty good for such a small handheld device. I also understand performance isn't the greatest because you need a mix of performance and battery life in something that isn't too large or heavy. I don't know why they didn't give us bluetooth any sooner. Overall I think it's a nice console I just wish it had a bit more power for 3e party or heavy games that don't run aswell. It would probably be possible with the generational improvements of CPU's but that would also drive up costs making it less or unaffordable for a ton of people. I think they chose a good middle road.

      @escapetherace1943 2 роки тому

@@GroteGlon performance and battery life are important, but the tech exists for better performance AND battery life but nintendo chose not to do so on purpose. They want as much profit as possible, where other companies will either break even or even LOSE money on console sales.
Nintendo wants it both ways, they charge 40 dollars for 20 year old games on their e-shop, they charge release-prices and never put games on sale and they get mad when people try to emulate games more than 15 years old, yet offer no way to buy those games because they never released them to another console, never gave backwards compatibility.
Do you know how much more money they'd make if they offered a switch that could actually do 60 fps and put games on sale and started to throw gamecube and wii games at discounted prices on their eshop? They're sitting on a money printer but refuse to do it that way because they'd rather keep scamming consumers and limiting supply (of games) for zero reason, even though they're already the richest company in Japan, apparently

I have Satysfe and Hori Split pad pro. I think owning both are beneficial, because Satisfye is a great daily driver, but split pad is great for FPS. Only downside with split pad is remapping the back button being limited to a button on each control pad. (Left control pad can’t use X, Y, A or B that you would typically use, since those buttons are in the right control pad). So I remap my right side to Jump and leave it at that.

Unfortunately the S2 hasn't come out for the Oled yet, but it's fantastic for the older switch versions. #2 The Hori split pad pro and finally #3 the Satisfy grip Right now I go between the Hori S.P.P. and Satisfy grip pending on which game I'm playing. When Fixture finally releases the S2 for the Switch Oled, that's definitely going to be my main way of playing because there's nothing like playing on your Nintendo pro controller anywhere

After playing on the Hori split pads, I find it near impossible to use the normal joycons

My Joy-Cons are just Ring Fit Adventure controllers at this point. I keep my Split Pad Pro on my Switch all the time for handheld play, and I use my SN30 Pro+ for docked play.

I went Hori split pad for most of the gaming at home and the skull and co grip case for when I take the switch out of the house. I have the white oled and wanted and option that could be removed all the time without worrying about scratching the joy cons

I bought the DOBE controller/ grip, it's actually better than everything you showed here, plus it has motion control, mapping back buttons, and rumble

I litterally only use the hori pad controller for 3 months now and this is the best feeling controller for my switch more then the pro controller I don't even care it has doesn't have rumble

I use the Grip case with the small attachments on the go. I dont wear tight jeans so i can easily slide this in my back pocket if i need to. But for the most part i carry around a small backpack for my Switch and accessories. I take my Switch everywhere with me even if its a 5 min trip.

You forgot to mention that the binbox or Nyxi 3rd party joycons can act as a wireless pro controller outside of handheld mode for tabletop or docked mode , that why i picked them over the Hori split pad pro (not everyone can afford both a pro controller and joycons )with the BinBox and Nyxi you get 2 for the price of 1

My right binbok pad is not clipping correctly to the switch, not being recognized as attached to the unit. The result is that the switch doesn't recognize both side at the same time because the left one is recognized as attached but the right as a wireless controller.

What do you use for games that require using joycon and make use of motion control? Binbok? Nyxi? Or just the traditional joycon.

The neogrip is extremely slippery. There's like no grip on the neogrip. I wish they used some sort of rubber coating like the satisfye.

I use the Hori split pad, I'm not going to stress the joy cons if I don't need to, i keep them "fresh" for multiplayer, i don't think the had been used more than 10 hours.

Can you still use the grip when the joycon are removed? Im a college student and change constantly between table top, hand held and docked. Wanting to know if the main body of the switch will still be held in place with out of the joycon as removing the grip would get annoying
