For anyone wondering, I just bought one of these and there are not little black pads that need to be installed. They're already installed and they're actually bigger than the ones in this video. Definitely a solid product. Makes handheld mode much more enjoyable
This case is my personal favorite, I bought off the website so i mixed and matched the parts, used the black plate with white grips and it looks amazing!
I understand that you don't _think_ you should dock it with the grip on. However: It is built the way that it _should_ be able to be docked, it can be docked, and it doesn't get too hot, really, since vents aren't blocked.
skull& co edited their own video to add a disclaimer admitted it was never built with being dockable in mind and were suprised to see many reviews claiming it could. they basically said do so at your own risk and we aren;t liable if something happens. that said, supposedly they revised it to make it slimmer so now i actually is dock friendly
@@maxisenberg9093 i just bought one because it was disclaimed "dockable". Looks like i wasted money again.
@@synthsx supposedly they revised the model with a slimmed down back so it should actually be dockable now but I can't say for sure as I don't have it. Honestly their original gripcase is much better than either of these new oled models imo. And sadly there only seems to be a hybrid available for the lite
@@synthsx I just got mine in today and it's got plenty room in the OLED dock, not sure how it would fit in an OG dock. I saw another comment saying they made a revision so unsure which one I have though

I'm not sure if I missed it but how would you compare this grip to the satisfye grip(old model one)? I know satisfye is coming out with a oled version but I thought I'd still ask if it was even comparable.

Ok. I got the tomtoc switch case because of you and its by far my favorite case and I don't want to get another one because I love it so much my question is will this grip work with the tomtoc case and if not what will

skull & co does a great job on the backward compatibility with their previous grips. If you already have their crystal gripcase, you can just grab this neogrip body which is only $12.

My guy, thanks for the review and The Matrix is maybe my favorite movie of all time. Watched it with my wife and worried if it still holds up today and it only does it nail the action and horror elements, my wife even found it fascinating and was asking me questions the whole way through.

Just ordered the neo for my newly purchased oled. I Can't wait to have a better grip. I did have the hori grips and loved them but you can't button map and there is no rumble.

What is the default screw setting, for standard switch or oled?
they have a black one on their website, should i get it? the clip on top would be black as a result, and so would the rest of the body. if possible, could you do a black one review? it’s under “replacements” on their website.

Just ordered one, but do u own a satisfye v2 grip and how does it compare to one of them? Please have some info or make a review as I don't wanna waste £50 / £60 just to buy a satisfye to be dissapointed... Literally ordered a crystal last night then found out about the new neo like 20 minutes later so ordered one of them aswell... I pre-ordered this one and I'm pretty stoked with it. It's a clean and sleek setup with solid ergonomics and I HATED the feel of the crystal's tpu material.
Another issue this grip solves, no more joy con wobble! 😅 my right joy con is solid af but then the left one wobbles and it's annoying af

No with the plastic being the way it is that not really possible but I still really like it
Just got mine and it has grey rubber pads on the inside of the grip on the left and right where it meets the joycons
interesting. mine didn't and they claimed the side pads were an older model and that they "made improvements" (they refused to specify after asking multiple times) so that it doesn't need side pads. i ended up selling it and waited to get the crystal oled grips but that has its own share of problems. should have just repurposed the tpu gripase for the oled

I've seen a couple of videos showing this docks in the oled dock just fine with plenty of room. It's just not compatible with the original dock
EDIT: S&C has gone in record saying they did not design it with the dock in mind and were suprosed some users found d it compatible. So while it may fit, that ultimately depends on the dock as some are more warped than others.
It docks perfectly with the S&C Jumpgate dock ;)
@@deegobooster no third party dock is safe. Only exception are shells like basstop since you can out the official motherboard inside
@@maxisenberg9093 Well if you like anecdotes, I've been using the jumpgate dock since it came out. I have it plugged into the official Nintendo charger.

I preordered mine since they became available and still waiting as it seems they are walking the package over. At one time in the tracking it said it had a flight booked and it took four days for the flight to depart only to go one town over and in the wrong direction lol.

@@ealfaro2506 don’t know how close an eye you’ve had on the tracking but the last time I checked it had gone from Cook County to Chicago down to Grand Praire Texas then back up to Cook County Illinois lol I mean seriously who is controlling the navigation of these shipments. It’s literally on tour like a rock star before it ever shows up at our door steps, it left the warehouse nearly a month ago already.

It fits with the small grips on yes and I like this better than the original crystal. I have a video coming out next week on the oled version and it’s much improved

Hey! I just tried this on mine. Sadly it does not fit the Hori DPad joycon. That notch in the back of it bumps into the curve of this grip.

If you mean the crystal no it won’t fit
@@DripMediaGaming no the black TPU one. I say V2 because they made some minor improvements to the case when they added the plus grips. Figured since it's more flexible it might have some give to make up the extra room?
It’s basically just as rigid as the crystal so I would say it’s probably not gonna fit.
@@DripMediaGaming thats a shame. They've been so close to my ideal case for years and never quite made it lol. Seems like satisfye is better other thwn the removable grips, at least until they upgrade it

All the other youtubers reviewing it put it in their dock, I'm surprised this guy doesn't even try. So yes it is dockable, but they won't recommend it as they don't wanna be sued for breaking your switch or dock. So up to you if you wanna take the risk but it is technically dockable.

You said it's not dockable, but CTA shows it does fit in the dock. So I'm confused :/
Technically it will fit in the dock. It was not made with that intention though. Skull&Co even says it in their video they put out on UA-cam that it could potentially damage your grip or screen. I would definitely not be putting my switch in the dock with this case on. I tried it once it’s extremely tight. Not a good idea in my opinion because it was not made we used that way

Im pretty bummed that I’m not able to use all my old accessories for the OLED. Im waiting for satisfye to come out with an OLED grip. I had to buy a split pad pro controller to hold me over
UPDATE: 2 months later, I really enjoy the split pad pro controller. I can play for hours without any discomfort and it feels like I’m holding a real controller. I honestly don’t think I’ll be going back to grips
You can preorder the Satisfye grip for the OLED now, ships next month. But I am still using my old one from Satisfye until my new ones get here. It’s a little tight but it doesn’t scratch the joy cons or anything. I can’t use anything but Satisfye grips.
@@EmCoffee573 satisfye grip is amazing but joycons are terrible if you're a competitive player and u need accuracy and precision with your thumbtsicks which joycons lack 100% so splitpad pro or binboks are where its at. Binboks and splitpad thumbsticks aren't more accurate and precise than a pro controller but for handheld playing joycons cant fuck with splitpad pro or binboks.
I dont like them because no rumble and they drain your battery
