The little adjustable thingy for retroactive compatibility with the old switch is what sold me on this over the satisfyer. The attention to detail is amazing.

Thanks for the discount code, ended up buying one of these thanks to your video. Was recently trying to play my OLED in handheld and ended up with pain on my hands after a bit, hopefully this case will help to alleviate the discomfort.
I got one of the original skull and co grips but transparent orange GameCube edition. I like how they slowly changing them over time. It's time to upgrade to try sliding grips!
I always wanted the gamecube edition but it sold out before I got a chance so I got the animal crossing one instead
Thank you for the indepth video. I was honestly gonna wait till Satisfye came out with a all black color because I'm not a fan of white. But I saw Skull & Co from another UA-camr today who happened to have a switch oled early and did several videos on it. Any I looked up the Skull & Co grip and was happy to see a black gripcase as well as multiple colors grips for them. Your video definitely sold me on this case and I may end up loving it more than my Satisfye which is the first generation grip that doesn't have all the red bumpers haha. Was a very early adopter for Satisfye.

I like the fact that it adjusts to fit the original and now you can use the kick stand on it, I always thought they should have added a cut to allow that with the original. Great video like always! 😁

I loved the first grip they made, but the process of removing it (peeling it from the side) repeatedly messed with my joy cons connection to my switch. This looks like they addressed having to peel it off from the side, which is all I wanted.
They slightly fixed it with V2 grip but they still won't admit it's an issue despite it happening in their own installation video

I just got my Switch OLED and actually my first Switch as well and playing in handheld hasn't been that bad so far for me, but I could see having this grip would be more comfortable if playing for long periods of time

Hey dude just wanted to say skull and co neo geo Oled grip came today your review did not disappoint it’s the best case out of 3 models tried heystop was ok and a cheap and nasty was well cheap and nasty. I can’t recommend it enough. The trigger grips make it feel soooo good. They could sell rubber grip skins for the changeable handles and I would buy em but otherwise it’s such a good investment.
Love you reviews mate, I’ve been using satisfye for my grips on the switch, but I tried the original black skull an co grip case you suggested with the 1st edition switch but I have to admit I hated it 😔 as the new satisfye oled isn’t available yet I was looking for a grip for now but does this feel like other skull an co grips or does it feel like the satisfye grip? Thank you for your video, already ordered one.I saw in Nintendo Prime that the dock's front lip bends forward a little bit when the switch has the Neo Grip on. But in your video I didn't notice it. Did you see the dock bending a little?
Yeah, I saw someone had that, I havent noticed any bending, I just put it in the dock and started playing it, worked fine.
Looks so smooth 😂 I have the v2 switch and I change between the Newberry charge case... And the red hori split pad pro with the tomtac case... Love the switch

as much as i like this one, i would prefer having full protection over a stand cutout and a focus on it being more of a grip than a case.

I'm still waiting for mine. I actually pre-ordered this grip for my V2 switch but by straight chance ended up finding an OLED model on a store shelf. I had the crystal model and wasn't a fan of that one at all, the material it's made of has a feel I just don't like.
I have this and the split pad pro for some reason I always come back to the neo grip it’s just so comfy with the trigger grips I have no idea I could never really enjoy the split pad

Just out of curiosity, does the screen protector come with the version that doesn't have the carrying case? Coz I've just bought the grip but only the body alone with all the switchable grips, and It would be neat if that version also came with the screen protector instead of just the one that has the carrying case

I just ordered this bundle. I was actually looking for some drop protection more than added grip. It’s hard to find a shell that a) docks b) allows for stand to open and c) fits in a case that will fit the charger. The old crystal case looks like more protection for a drop, crossing my fingers for drop protection as my 9 yr old will be using.
i just got this for my oled switch..unfortunately my grip did NOT come with the spacer configured for the oled model..it came assembled for the original switch..hopefully u dont have the same outcome as me...other than that it feels great on my OG V2 switch

Just got my Neo grip in yesterday and it didn't come with any of the extra things you showed off. Fairly disappointed with this as without the black dots the grip doesn't feel tight. It also creaks and moves a lot. All in all I'm not Satisfyed (😂) with this. I absolutely love the case though. Definitely the best part of the package.
The sticky dots are used for the sides of the grip. If you feel its a bit loose you place two sticky dots one side where the plastic touches the sides of the joycons. If it still feels loose you can add two more on the other side.
I places two on the right side and one under the locking clip. There is a small gap under the locking clip and i noticed my switch would move up. Adding one sticky pad there helps keep the switch in place.
Unfortunately I have noticed my joycons have slightly scratched at the joycons. But it only noticeable when looking at a angle with direct sunlight. But overall its still a great grip, just have to be carful removing and putting on the grip.

Weird that the part you talked about the least was the feel of the grips... Given the entire reason to purchase these is to increase the grip/feel...
i've barely used mine and it's a little hard to put in, like i have to put force into it and it makes me kinda anxious lol. does it break in over time and become easier to put the switch in? have the same white neogrip btw, OLED model too.
I just got mine a few days ago and the three pads on the inside of the grip are not rubber but foam, anyone knows if this is a new version? And if yes is there anything else different?

Does the skull & co case fit the switch with the hori split pad on?
After recently getting the Zelda themed crystal grip (to match the Skyward Sword Joycons), I don't think I can justify getting this upgrade for myself but I could see me getting this instead of the crystal for family this holiday.
What if they release a Zelda themed coloured version of this one? INSTABUY ??

It's not about cool factor, It's about justifying the cost of getting another grip for myself after just buying the crystal grip. It's almost like they where waiting for the day after I bought my crystal grip just to announce this upgrade. That's Murphy's Law for you.
At least if I ever do upgrade, I can transfer my Zelda color snap grip set over to the Neo grip as both the Neo & Crystal use the same snap grip set as shown in your video.

Idk how yours condensed, mine won't. The leftmost holes don't have threads, so the screws don't catch AT ALL.

It does technically dock, but it spreads the gap a little bit which makes me worry about long-term use with my dock
does this touch the back of the switch I have the pokemon scarlet and violet and don't want the grip to rub the decals off

Can't charge with the built in stand hence the one built in to the maxcarry case

Are the grips for the lite rhe same or compatible with the oled?
Do you need to use that lock on the top for the OLED? or only for the regular switch to make it tighter?
You don’t NEED it but it helps secure both switch’s in just in case. It doesn’t slip out easily but could come out when travelling or shaking it
The Max carrying case would be even better if you could fit your dock in it.
When using this with the OG Switch does it still fit the dock as easily as the OLED?
Can the base model fit into the charge station with this on? It looks like it might have just enough clearance to fit on before the plastic hits, but i cant really tell.

I have those clear protective grips on my joy cons so they dont get scuffed up. Do you think my switch will fit in the skull and co grip with those protective grips on or will i have to take them off?
I think you’d probably need to take them off as it’s quite a tight fit.

How does it compare to the satisfye grip? My old satisfye doesn't work with the oled model and don't really want to wait until December to get the new satisfye grip.
I have t got the new Satisfye yet, when I do I will compare. However, this grip is soooo good you won’t regret getting it.

No they won’t, only regular joycons can fit.

Ordered one no screen protector no sticky black thingy wiggles alittle bit oled with oled setup. The carry case is actually nice.
Does the joycon wobble when the grip is attached?
@@arvinlennard9945 it does NOT wobble, but it does move VERY little unless you put the black sticky thingy (mine dint come with it) i still recommend it.
what's the importance of the locking system since the OLED has a perfect fit?
It’s just an extra security measure, nothing extremely important

No it doesn’t stand up, you’d need to use the switch’s kickstand. Which is excellent on the OLED
Can you dock the OG switch on the OG dock with this case on?
Not sure if I want this yet I love the skull and co brand it’s my favorite and I always trust them. But this is reminding me a little bit of the satisfye zen grip and I didn’t like that because it left scratch’s and scuff marks on my switch. I hope this don’t do that. Gotta wait and see more reviews.
Is the main body of the grip ( the spine that spans the whole length of the back of the switch) sturdy enough so you can just hold it on one end?
Yes. It’s very sturdy.
