Any advice on positioning the niche in the wall prior to putting up the walls, so that your tile layout does not end up looking fubar when you start tiling?
Yes do your shower valve wall first then you will have your tile lines run a laser where you want niche so your not cutting into tile frame it in then backer board and tile away.
It would annoy me that the white grout is between black trim on the mitre and as said above, it should be spaced away from the tiles using the same tile spacers to give a uniform look.
I kinda hate the metal Schuder edge. I hope the trend shifts back to radius and bullnose. I know it’s a little harder to do but for me it just looks so much classier.
You ever cut a rebar with an 84 tooth? That's what I thought. Why would they go through the effort putting all those teeth on if they're not consumable? In all seriousness though, aluminum is fine lol.
Anybody else use the magical "84 tooth blade"....lol me neither. I just use my regular "no tooth blade" or what is known as my wet saw 😀😀
Wetsaw leaves burrs. Cut all my profiles with a non ferrous blade

You suppose to have used spacers between the trim and the tiles.
Nah, just non sanded grout, way better looking as well.
@@dr2377 sanded / non sanded grout, grout line should have been left. End of story
@@tonygoshive785 there probably is one you can't see.
@@tonygoshive785 Story restarted.
do you grout around the profile? the metal to tile can't be waterproof
Personal preference, but leaving at least a 1/16 gap and grouting it is best practice IMO.
@@MoneyManHolmes thanks that's what I ended up doing
Do you leave grout line between trim and tile?
Yeah.
Grinder
