Pro7 (Mazda Racing Series) TV Footage 2008 NZ Champs Ruapuna

Back to the golden era of Pro7 racing in my Pro7 Plus FD RX-7 (not the same car as the 20B FD). This category has been going strong for 35 years and it was awesome to win two consecutive national champs in the series alongside some very strong opposition. Pro7 at the time consisted of basic FD RX-7s with converted non-turbo 13B factory-ported engines (230hp) with standard-ish suspension setups that were limited by strict regs. The class also consisted of the historic Pro7 class which were S1 RX-7s with factory 12A non-ported engines (140hp). The class has now moved onto a very successful RX-8 formula and currently have more than 40 cars across both the North Island and South Island.
