Carlisle is a beautiful scent. I really enjoy it. At first sniff I instantly smelt the patchouli. I love Profumum roma patchouli and this note in carlisle reminded me of it. I've sampled layton but is not impressed of it so far.
This is my favorite parfum de marly! At first I hated it. But over time I love it. I’m 25 and I wear it randomly usually to work or when I’m dressed and ready to impress and leave an impression. Such a beautiful scent. My go to winter bitch fragrance along with layton!

I got home at around 6am and I was still getting whiffs of it. Not as strong within the first 8-10hrs. It didn’t come off fully until I showered.
Totally agree with all of this. The first time I tried it I thought it was too overpowering for me. And NOW a year later I tried it again and damn, I feel like a total badass! This stuff is addictive, mysterious, very seductive.
I have a sample, I'm not a big fan of the opening but the dry down is so good! It does semi-remind me of Layton, Carlisle is like the older cousin who has seen some shit.
Just found your channel and completely agree with many of your opinions. I've only smelled Carlisle twice. The first time I did not like at all, the second time still wasn't a great fan but liked a little more. Gonna try again and see how it is. Def thinks it works better in the air as it's very strong well I smell it up close
I absolutely love Carlisle on myself and I'd love to smell it on a man as well. I reminds me very much of Red Tobacco from Mancera, but much more refined and sophisticated :)

Layton is sweet with no woodiness, Carlisle is super woody and sweet. It doesn't have oud. It is just sweet, woody, and smokey. A magician invented it 3004 B.C.
Carlisle is awesome, but I tested it yesterday, and it doesn't perform at all, after 3 hours it is almost gone. I don't know which badge it was, but I can ensure it was not a fake.
Deff got a bad batch my friend. Carlise lasts all day on me and gets better as the hours roll by. Maybe buy a small sample & try it again cause I’m sure you must of had a dud.

I just got carlisle and first thing I smelt was the apple which smelt like hand sanitizer. I gave it an hour to dry down and I smelt the vanilla and woodiness of the fragrance. I have mixed feelings about this fragrance but one thing I can confirm is that it is a beast mode fragrance. I sprayed it only once on my wrists and everyone in my house said how they could smell it. My mom said it’s too strong and suggest returning it 😂 but I’ll give it some time because I still have high hopes for it. I think it’s also important to mention that I’m 16 and this is my second fragrance, and yes Carlisle is definitely an old man or grown man fragrance.
@@amaterasublack3519 Layton 125ml came to me 10 days ago and i keep wear and Enjoy like newborn baby. I bought it with a discount on Croatian notino for 200 euros. I found out that discount stores have second and third class bottles but Nevermind. The smell is wonderful, I don't know where I lived until now, but I'm pleasantly surprised because I avoided Layton for years. 81 percent alcohol, performs powerful, 4-8 hours, but juice is stronger than any Tom Ford I've bought. Layton is mu favorite after 3 Years perfume jurney, now I will wait for holiday discounts and buy Haltane because BCR540 is too expensive for me, tooweak and too french, I still have half a bottle of 70 ml but I won't repeat the purchase because that fragrance is overpriced.❤️🇭🇷🍀
I think Layton works all year around except for in the high heat. Can pull it off during summer nights tho. If you want a summer/fresh fragrance from PDM I'd check out sedley and Percival. Percival is more mass appealing but not as unique - kinda smells like Abercrombie fierce but much classier/upscale

Just realise that on the box it states that it has a 77% formula but on the bottle it has 81% formula, was wondering if you got the same or anyone here. The first few sprays it was not as powerul as the one I got from the tester and small decanter the store gave me. I would like to ask if the new batch bottle from 2021 is just weak or will it get stronger after a few months after the few sprays you put on yourself. Because I sprayed two times on my arm the new bottle I bought and now the scent is also gone off, while the tester decant I sprayed is still on me. Just want to get other opinions with the same batch from 2021.
What don’t you like about it? I’m debating blind buying as a female in my 20s and I’m afraid of smelling like an older gentlemen lol but I NEED COMPLEXITY!!! I WANT TO SMELL COMPLEX & EXPENSIVE. That’s what I’m hoping for with Carlisle. I’m sick of basic fragrances haha

That is way too floral. I blind bought a bottle off line and I thought it was a fake because it smelt so bad. I had to wash it off me. So I ordered a sample set directly from pdm and to my disappointment it was still nauseating and gives me a headache. I would not blind buy this. It has a bitter off putting smell to it.
Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Carlisle. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 77%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark ORANGE / AMBER color. The new formulation is a very light, faint copper color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Herod, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.

I love that perfume on my husband, on me I have to layer with baccarat or safanad to feel feminine 😉

Such a good fragrance. Unisex but heavily leans masculine. I don’t think I could see it on a woman personally
