For a niche brand PDM Frags are really easy to wear for me, ( Kalan is a little tougher though) Carlisle is another one that appeals to the masses. I know when I spend my money I intend to wear my fragrances frequently and this house has a lot to offer even for the beginner.
I choose Red Tobacco over Carlisle because I LOVE the Tobacco note, I also own Herod Pegasus Oajan and Layton, and for me Oajan is the most cozy scent for me, Layton is like a Niche frag that was made to please the crowds even Aventus didn’t gave me so many compliments. Did you get the 2021 reformulated bottle? I got it and it doesn't perform well - it lasts 2-3 hours and then it really does disappear. I do not get nose blind and I never had an issue because of the skin chemistry; it's just below average performance from this newer batch. Everybody says that PDM has really good performing fragrances but to be honest the newer reformulations are disappointing on lines such as Herod, Carlisle, Layton/Layton Exclusive, and so on.
Get it. You will love it. It’s a 50 shades of gray ..kind of fragrance. Tie me to the bed. Great for bar/club…cuddling too 😊 masculine, dark, seductive. I love to wear at night helps me sleep better and arouses me. 😂

To me smells very similar to Valentino Coral Fantasy. To me Coral Fantasy is softer, and I think Coral Fantasy is beast mode already, imagine this one.

Herod is more versatile but Carlisle is better. Panty dropper %150 percent but there’s a window of the year you can wear it , for me it’s about 67 degrees and below weather because it is heavy.
TheRainMaker if you have a lot of different fragrance buy Carlisle if you want a workhorse buy Herod. If you were gonna do the seasonal 4 for life thing get Carlisle for winter ❄️☃️
Does PDM make anything that doesn’t smell like vanilla? So bored with vanilla. Creed offers a variety of fragrances. PDMs seems like they’re all flankers of based around smoke and vanilla.

Carlisle is overrated. Thanks to Demi Rawling hype train that many guys jumped on. It's good but not amazing. I find Layton, Layton exclusive and Pegasus much more interesting. Herod was Ok. Still want to try Habdan and Oajan.

They are all compliment magnets...but that Oajan.... Wowwwww... It's like smelling an apple cinnamon pie... (Compliments Oajan 1a , Layton 1b, then Herod #2)
Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Carlisle. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 77%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark ORANGE / AMBER color. The new formulation is a very light, faint copper color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Herod, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.

Carlisle is a scent that needs to be worn multiple times to get the full effect. Each time I wear it I find something new to love.

Mr Troy does it smell dirty on your skin? When you spray it on your skin and you put your nose close to your wrist, does it smell dirty?

Yeah, their fresh scents have zero vanilla. Sedley, Percival and Greenley to name the popular ones.

@@Gildhattie Just got my Oajan decant. You're spot on with the smell. Only thing downside is it limits you pretty much to a fall scent.
