The drummer, Daru Jones, is in a band with Pharoahe Monch (one of the great MCs from the golden era of hiphop), called TH1RT3EN. Check out their album _A Magnificent Day For An Exorcism,_ released last year.
Jack has always been accompanied by excellent musicians, but these guys are on another level, I hope they stay permanently, and Lillie could come back too
WELP I'm definitely going to have to see Jack White (again) for his 2022 tour. I didn't get enough the night I saw him and the band in 2014, and he was gracious enough to play two nights in my city, so I immediately got tickets for the next show. Incredible live. I don't think this crowd was excited enough for how amazing this was.

Man, never liked the Stripes nor Jack particularly. But, man--he is on fire, best of Glaston. His set giving me hope that ROCK IS NOT DEAD (and haven't felt that in a looooooong while!) Has a bit of a RAM vibe, loving it.
Wow I haven't listened to jack White in a long time but this is the shit! What a show! Damn I wish I was there! Edit: almost getting rage against the machine vibes as well but I love jack Whites guitar playing more than tom morello, they're both great but jack Whites guitar playing is awesome now.
Thank you , the Trick is , everything is an Illusion , my Love , sticks , Sound Vision , for everyone , my temple , has yet to come , Peace , Love and Understanding , tod , thank you , . . . .
Sheinzen what a live performance, drummer is insane 😮! as legendary as that Kravitz's Are You Gonna Go My Way? but I.. ...cannot really understand how great songs are stated in the rock scene.... This "What's the Trick" is at the same very height of Seven Nation Army and Blue Orchid (another song so legendary but never reached a decent aknowledgemt) but it's like Jack White just released a whatever single Like nothing happened! It's not me, it's the song structure, it improved 7 Nation Army in some parts, though it's better 7 Nation, this song is like Jack White's Radiohead Paranoid Android after Creep. Just like all the greatest of the great. Jack will be appreciated after he's passed away, just like Hendrix and all the same in that line. My adv9ice? enjoy Jack while he's creating and impulsing rock and roll along with Muse.
What was the white statue for that was standing on the stage? We recognized it has something like a microphone in the back of its head and the roadies were kind of preparing it shortly before the gig began.
Jack's drummer is so bad ass... WOW!!!
Daru Jones
The big diff - I wanted Meg soooo badly.
...name one thing aside from his setup that is remarkable in any way...?...
@@dericanslum1696 its the sauce
I just saw them Yesterday in Carcassonne in FRANCE, and that was so INSANE, the drummer was so INCREDIBLE (Jack too obviously)
jack and his band put on the best show touring today
I can't stop listening to this version of the song. It won't leave my head. Full of energy and bad ass.
Easily the best performance at Glastonbury this year. What a show.
Jack is ANOTHER LEVEL.
one of jack's best performances of all time imo. the band is ELECTRIC!
his song is so complex and still so accessible, it's a work of genius!
Best act of Glastonbury 2022
Best his voice has sounded in a while
Genius!!! Absolutely genius!!!
Bravo! Very orginal. Thats why Jack is so special!
musical genius.
The energy. Freaking Awesome.
Absolutely brilliant! The King Himself!

on that album he plays every intrument you can here drums bass guitar and keyboard all mixed together.. hes bad ass
I swear to God Jack White has not aged throughout his entire musical career.
Discovered this for the first time last week, played it at least 5 times a day since
Jack has always been accompanied by excellent musicians, but these guys are on another level, I hope they stay permanently, and Lillie could come back too
JW still kicking ass after all these years! Fear of the Dawn is a killer album
with a full backing band this is somewhere slap bang between Led Zeppelin and Talking Heads, fricking ace
I’m getting slight beastie boy vibes as well 😄
@@robannat9627 some songs remind of rage against the machine from jacks performances
Blue-Rock-Funk always a great mix. Love it. I hear and see Prince, Peter Gabriel, Rage Against The Machines, and James Brown
In what way do you mean blue?
And beastie Boys in their prime too
What a killer track. Delivers on every level. This live performance is no different. Long live Jack White!
Man this is so good !!!!!!!
Daru’s happy energy is something I aspire to be every day
It might help to play the drums. It seems to be mainline caffeine for him- and every musician up there and the throngs at Glastonbury.
Love Jack White !!! Great Performance .....
great clip. Jack gives off a bit of a David Byrne/Les Claypool vibe here - something that I hadn't heard on the album, but I love it here.

Can’t wait to see them in November! Sounds powerful

This sounds like a Beastie boys song with a guitarist.
Bro 💀
beastie boys got guitars hahah. Ad Rock did that ua-cam.com/video/ZdJ5e70Q8mw/v-deo.html
Beastie Boys actually played guitar, find some of their old performances, there was always a good heavy riff behind their music
@@CRAZYCANUCKTV I meant a dedicated guitarist. I know it. I love them.
Feel ridiculous comparing jack white to the beasty boys but my god it’s so correct it’s untrue 🤣🤣🤣
Jack F*CKING White, man! Absolute awesome!!
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
and oooo weeee yeah!!!!
The guy is a master song-smith.
Has a lot of ILL Communication album, Beastie Boys, sound to me, I love it ✌️💙
Homeboy fuckin’ kills it on the drums
The band is having a good time
Great song, reminds me of Sabotage, Beastie Boys
I get notes of Beastie Boys, Rage against the Machine, and a bit of Talking Heads, and a little Beck.
But it's all Jack, too.
For me, that was a great performance of a cool song. :)
Jack is my favor boy
Wish I could find the whole show

💘🤘🏻
I NEED JACKS SPARKLE BLUE TELECASTER!!!!!!
anybody know what jack has on his mic stand?
Plectrum holder.
I think he uses it to effect his voice instead of two or three mics like last tours
Why does this remind me so much of the Beastie Boys???

While this sounds amazing it's noting compared to what I just experienced at the apollo!
That show was fucking nuts
Me too went last night, off the scale
Sounds a bit like if Rage Against the Machine & Jack White had a baby
The Man’s Hendrixesque absolutely stunning
sounds like the beastie boys doing a beck cover.

The Michael Jordan of rock and roll nowadays.
Its like Jack was one of Devo guys and now hes by himself...
Or Beasty Boys.
Reminds me a bit of David Byrne/Talking Heads.
Epic. Feels like RATM.
It’s like the Beastie Boys had a nephew raised on blues.
Why does that keyboardist look like Gerald from Hey Arnold lol
Daru Jones is the 👑
Jack, give Adam and Mike D a call. Somebody needs to get them off the couch to start writing and performing music alongside their peers again.
Whats up with that crowd
To be fair it was a secret show announced that day (case you didn't know)
