The woman with the dog named Eddie is who I’m trying to be. She has honed her style to the point that each of her pieces just fit effortlessly together. She has invested in quality pieces that have lasted years and still look amazing.
She was so gentle and elegant. I really appreciate the clips that capture a personality and combined with talk through of their style, it’s perfection. Bravo Karen. Love these videos

Hi Karen: I don’t know why this series is so enjoyable.. it’s not just the fashion, which is amazing, there is something about the joy and sweetness of the human spirit that touches me. And your music choice makes it even more endearing. Love it. I watch the entire thing, without even realizing it, with a big smile on my face. It’s just lovely.. maybe because Im a New Yorker and it’s just so bittersweet to see the people and the streets. Thank you for a great series. ♥️
It’s a beautiful thing to interact with strangers for a moment and leave them feeling so special. It’s really touching even if that is not the intention. It also inspires me to be more daring in my fashion choices. Thank you for sharing!
The "Older Women," still in style. You should talk about fabrics, taking care of clothing, how to buy and sell clothing. Slow Fashion is the key. You could do shows with Designers and talk about "Street Fashion." What a great service, Karen, you ROCK!
“Judging by my melanin its evident im heaven sent 🔥💙💙💙 my favorite person. This episode was beautiful Karen. Thank u for letting Tyler showcase his Art.
How funny New Yorkers can stand there & tell stories about everything they are wearing & where & when they bought it. And make it interesting - like it is important to them. I've spent my whole long life not looking at labels & buy my clothes at Wal-Mart . If I could live my life over, I wish I could have cared more about my appearance & wore statement outfits like these people.
Sandra P. Sandra hopefully you express your uniqueness in a way that is just as enjoyable to you in another or other ways. And if not, it's never to late. It's not where you shop but how you put these things together. So start tomorrow by wearing something you like, or wear something you have a little differently. Enjoy!
i always like to say that fashion isn't about brands, you can wear Wal-Mart but still make it fashion!! i have many clothes from there and sometimes when people ask me where did i bought it and i say Wal-Mart they just stay shocked lmao
It's never too late to wear how you feel. This last year has been a massive one for me, with major transitions toward recognizing who I am and fully embracing me and projecting that to the world...not for their attention but for my satisfaction. You can always learn to cultivate a you style and grow into that over time as you afford to buy more things within your spectrum. As others have said here your style can come from K mart or walmart or Macy's or Zara's as long as you express it authentically you'll feel better and you'll find that the confidence you project will be seen by others.
Really really loved this karen. Have just shared with my niece who is going to new York tomorrow to celebrate her 30th birthday. I'm 60 so it was great to see the slightly older ladies who were so stylish too. Makes me feel more confident to continue dressing how I like and not about age
I’ve just found your account and I literally watched all of the “what are the people in ny are wearing” in one day and have been waiting for a new episode and checking you’re Chanel every single day. wow i was just watching these all over again and just wanted to say thanks for the likes
mickey M I think that too but then I think of all the people she didn’t stop so not everyone is amazing with great style and designer pieces. I’m happy for the ones who have it going on but I remember these are creative people maybe on their best day. I love the inspiration. ❤️
@@saraheeeeeee4552Many New Yorkers buy a few quality/well made pieces just like Europians. It is better to own one well made coat than four poorly made coats.
I also noticed that often in her videos some of the people work in retail for some if these higher end labels. It was the case in this video too. I think at least 3 women worked for brands. Kinda the nature of the beast.
This is definitely not true! And I don’t mean that in a negative way just that she’s interviewing people in basically the cultural “hip” hubs of manhattan and those are the spots where creative and fashionable people tend to frequent. In reality NYC is much much larger than where she’s going (Brooklyn, Bronx, SI, and queens are all nyc too) and the vast majority of the population here does not own any designer or luxury items whatsoever. If you take the subway and buses often into the other boroughs or even upper Manhattan like Harlem or Inwood (north brooklyn and bushwick in Brooklyn are pretty tourist/transplant heavy & fashionable as well) you will notice that the most designer thing that most people own is maybe a good warm winter coat from the north face or a similar brand out of pure necessity. Most fashionable people in general yes do own at least one designer item but that goes for anyone not just NYC. most people in nyc are regular folk who don’t care much about fashion or can’t afford to spend big bucks on such items. Fashion as a creative hobby is a luxury no matter what unless you exclusively thrift at places like goodwill or Salvation Army or make your own clothes (one can argue that the time to do that is a luxury too though). I was born and raised here so trust that it’s not all that glamorous for most people lol. However If you do go to the neighborhoods shown in the video you will see a lot of fashionable people indeed!

A UA-camr in Canada, Alyssa Beltempo, directed me to your channel almost a year ago. You are fun and inspirational to watch....BUT....these NY street style videos are absolutely AMAZING. You have done a great job picking out these people and I so enjoy the conversations you have with them. And the side street views of homes, trees, cars and falling leaves are a joy to see. So nice to see interesting everyday people without being “over produced” as typical TV can be. Thank you.
I watch Alyssa also- in her last video (the wonderful one about Italy) when she tries on an oversize blazer she says if she was Karen she could rock it.
Karen, you bring out the best in everyone you meet! You are my kind of girl and I just LOVE these brilliant videos. This is what the adorable Bill Cunningham (❤️RIP❤️) would have done had he been born 30 years earlier.😘
As someone who has no fashion sense, I like to watch the seried for inspiration. It reminds me that fashion doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Some of the best looks are simple, functional and approachable.
Hahaha I was thinking man, would be underwhelming if she asked me what I was wearing. Standing there like my tights are from wish ($14) and my top is from the children's section of best and less ($6).....my shame is from birth ($0)..... 😂 😂 😂
her name is ally/allie and her surname is mosfowitz or muskowitz? i can't hear it coz the audio is awful :( i tried looking on insta but couldnt find anything

@A Tangerine The difference though between that coat and her friends similar Zara coat are night and day. One looks luxe, the other like cheap fast fashion. But they all looked fabulous and like a ton of fun to know! I'm sure I would love vacationing with them.
@A Tangerine Whatever our faves, they are all lookin' fly! I could not really hear where the coat was from either. And they really did shop it up on their travels.
My grandmother send me Purification Garcia accessories, and Antonio Miro clothing for Christmas and it's true Zara in Madrd,,keep the best, and is less expensive. I got the Zara leather bucket handbag, even on Ebay was 200$,150$,my Yaya (grandmother) bought it for 60 euros,in Madrd. You can buy Antonio Miro collection at El Corte Ingles, that is like the Neiman Marcus of Spain.
This video is beautifully made, I love all of these people so much!!! I don’t know how you do it but you bring out the absolute best in people, and their fashion truly shines!
The older lady in the white shirt walking her dog, classy and stylish! Timeless!❤ And the Asian couple wearing all black, loved them too. I love these series. Karen, you're the best!

1:45 WOWZA CUTENESS. Double shoelaces ❤️ 9:06 That blouse is gorgeous 😍 34:36 Her reaction "오탔어!" 😂 She discovered she got sunburned. I wonder how her blackout tattoo affects her sunburns in the other arm? Aside from the sun talk, their matching style is so simple yet so stylish 😎

New yorkers are so fashionable !! That older lady with the dogs..LOVE
Finally something real! How can you trust influencers when you know that they're paid for giving opinions. Real people in real time. No infomercials.
Yes, that was a beautiful video. She’s so down to earth, she is my favourite person to watch. Audrey a la mode is a good one too.
This is so beautiful that i started crying. People uplifting others is amazing to see.
I really like to see older women playing with fashion
I adore them, too.
I think these kind of people get dressed everyday just in case this type of thing happens 😂
Welcome to NYC....seriously camera crews are every where and all the time.
I was thinking how I never have an idea of what label I'm wearing.
I meant this positively .!!! I love waking up and serving looks for myself .!! That’s why I’m watching for fashion tips . 😂✨
now thats a ridiculous comment! Did it occurred you that they may be passionate about it, makes them feel great?!
My comment isn’t ridiculous your Brain just makes everything negative you see
Awww the woman who didn't want to show her face and in all black seems like such a sweet person. 💕
Her: What are you wearing ?
Me: “Tarjey” aka Target
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I say the same thing all the time
Bruh holy shit I thought I was the only one💀
f@#$ i spilled my coffee 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha I was thinking man, would be underwhelming if she asked me what I was wearing.
Standing there like my tights are from wish ($14) and my top is from the children's section of best and less ($6).....my shame is from birth ($0)..... 😂 😂 😂
Late to the Game ...yep 😌
30:50 i fell in love with the girl in green. She looks mysterious and she gives me this unique vibe!

The girls from spain could all be sisters! love them, and these videos. they bring me such inspiration
Karen Karen Karen... I’m living for this series of yours, it’s so interesting hearing everyone’s stories and you have the perfect approach and personality for this. I could watch for days. Bravo👏🏾
love this! I love how unique everyone looks and the Spanish girls are a WOW! all that colour! I am happy to see that there is still lots of vibrant colour even in the fall. Keep the series going! Thanks Karen.
@A Tangerine It's Alanui!
the spanish girls were serving
You remember the time stamp?

Sitting in my car watching in my black boring polo shirt for work and feeling like shopping now!!
This is what I truly love about living in this beautiful city, is seeing the individuality and uniqueness.
As someone born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and who doesn’t get out much. I love that I stumbled on this series ❤️
My fav series of yours! Keep them coming PLEASE!

Would hit ‘love’ button if it existed, lived in NYC for 4 years so these videos are very nostalgic for me, I once was a Brit chic in NY, so thanks Karen...
Karen, I love you so much and that conversation about Bill Cunningham! I live! This series is eye and heart candy. Thank you.
I sware! These vlogs cud be produced for TV! Just fabulous! You take us on such a wonderful journey! One person is just as interesting as the next! Bravo!
Karen you are so lovely and kind to everyone, no discrimination. You are a true mark of how we all should compliment one another. Thanks for what you do!
Finally, the, "Puffy Shirt", has arrived.
1:45 WOWZA CUTENESS. Double shoelaces ❤️
9:06 That blouse is gorgeous 😍
34:36 Her reaction "오탔어!" 😂 She discovered she got sunburned. I wonder how her blackout tattoo affects her sunburns in the other arm? Aside from the sun talk, their matching style is so simple yet so stylish 😎
Miss Mina omg Mina
The colorful girls' squad brought me so much fashion joy and inspiration 😍
Karen i love this series. You're a winner. I know this series is going to get pickup by a big network. And please don't let them change a thing that you have created. Perfection.👠👢👘👒💓
I’m mesmerized by the two videos I’ve watched and I know why...you see beauty in everyday things most people take for granted like a pink moped, yellow leaves on trees, gray concrete, a winter coat.... I’m in love
the girl in the green on the steps was so cute !! Love her
edit ok i must be feeling monotone colours bc the girl in orange around 35:00 was stunning !
I just love this series, Karen. You’re the new Bill Cunningham. I’m in NY in December...I’m gonna look out for you on the street🗽
So dope!! Thanks for having me freestyle in your vlog 🤴🏾🙏🏾🔥

Wow!!! My favorite episode so far Karen, I love how you incorporate the trees , leaves and other inanimate pieces, love👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I would love to see you travel with this series.
Love the lady who was walking her dog. The way she shared where she got her stuff is just divine. Such a generous being!🌹
oh God, I LOVED the freestyle and I'm so happy you didn't edit it out of the video. Great video Karen. we love this series!
I love these videos, you do them so well!! You should go to other cities like London, Paris, Seoul, Copenhagen - it could be a series!
