I agree. She is the first to start it (at least she is the first i saw ) doing what people are wearing and i like it so i watch others that do the what people are wearing content. Shalom
You are the Anthony Bourdain of Fashion! A different perspective, a different energy. True interest in people and true interest in the sociology of looks. Keep up the originality.
So much more than clothes. The people shine through. There is still love, kindness, and respect on and in our cities. These videos give me hope for humanity.
November 19 is my favorite shop in New York. His eye is (obviously) impeccable and it's the most perfectly curated, whimsically serious/seriously whimsical collection of magic.
Often imitated but never duplicated. There are a lot of great WAPW but with you, Karen, we feel like we're on a journey, as everything and every person has a cohesion and is intentional. I for one love that you do take your time and post one of these, as it feels like a gift from you to us viewers. Thank you
My favorite content of all…so glad to see NY’s finest in the true sense of the word. Andre J said what we all feel about you! ❤ Thank you for this one.
This is most definitely in a VERY wealthy affluent neighborhood. Most of NYC is in distress right now and not safe. This is a safe bubble of space left but for how long remains to be seen.
Those Studio Ghibli shorts are like $5000 😂 even second hand I can't store any part of that collection, I just cannot ever justify it, lol, but I love them so much, for him 11:03
WOW Andre J LOOKS AMAZING!!! He’s exuding such LIGHT. Although he looks STUNNING his VIBE is BEYOND what he’s wearing. It’s Spiritual that’s NEXT LEVEL 🙏🏾🙏🏾💜
I have been sick physically and emotionally over the past few days. And seeing Karen uploading a new episode of What People Are Wearing in NY lifted my spirit instantaneously. Thank you, Karen. Thank you.
Karen, you are so respectful in the way you interact with people and appreciate their effort in dressing. And thank you for the editing that gives this episode a doco effect. A stimulating trip to New York. Thank you.
@@KarenBritChick I nearly fell out of my chair when I watched the Jameela clip. I thought, that woman looks so much like Jameela, but it can't be her. Hope you both enjoyed the meeting :)
Karen absolutely stunning episode. The Diversity and how you infused the black and white to the colors, down to just the bicycle. The ambience of New York. It's not just the beautiful fashions. It's a lifestyle of those people you interviewed, embracing their personalities through fashion. Keep the episodes coming.🎉
This Chanel is by far the best. Karen knows the fashion industry and can engage in interesting conversations with her guests. Her observations on color in item on the street is very interesting.
I was recently thinking I hope you do one of these soon! I just love them so much. It’s like eating a piece of delicious chocolate cake every time I watch. So good!! Thank you 😊
this is some of the the BEST content i've ever come across on yt. i know it takes a ton of effort to make these episodes but we love them because you're so right, they are a gift and a mirror of us✨
Oh, how I have missed these. This video is perfection. I can't get enough of the inspiring people, the NYC scenery, the narration, music and exquisite editing of the video and, of course, the creative take on clothing. Thank you, Karen. XO
Karen your cinematography and commentary,,, Karen such fabulous turned up looks . Thank you so much for sharing . thanks for the gift Karen, I Love it!!!🎉
This was so refreshing of what you do "out in these streets" sis 😊. The brotha wearing the cowboy hat spoke nothing but the truth about your character Karen.✨ Many of us 2nd. that emotion. 💖 Keep them coming please when you have time 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💖✨
Thrilled the series is back. There were so many uniquely stylish & lovely people featured this episode. It’s difficult to pick a favorite when I felt a tiny bit obsessed with something about each person. Like how I absolutely loved the guy wearing the black Mary Jane shoes. And of course, Greg. Fabulous mix of people featured though. Thanks for another amazing experience.❤️
Going through a dark time and up pops this vid and its such a relief to spend time on the streets with Karen talking to such lovely people. You lifted my spirits because how can you not look at so much beauty and creativity and not feel good. They all looked fabulous, but I am partial to chic white haired ladies who wear bright lipstick and have a cute dog. Cuz thats how I see myself, LOL.
I love you so hard. You are my spirit animal. I have recently laid my mother to rest and my dog to rest 30 days later. On top of some other health issues and losses, life has been lifing. When I see your content it helps me to feel as if things are going to get better. Seeing this come back makes it seem as if everything is going to be alright in the world. You are amazing and your lovely husband Michael is your perfect foil. I absolutely thank you both for your wonderful energy.
Thank you for choosing to share this with me and everyone else. I am so sorry for your loss. It means a lot that my series has helped a little bit 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@Dyane629: So sorry for the loss for both of you. Losing your mother leaves a void for life, but if you’re lucky you can fill that void with all the love and happy memories she gave you.

I've really missed these videos. I am so glad you continue to do them. The street fashion is always amazing! There is no place like New York in the world! ❤
Love these videos! I worked in NYC from 1980 to 1996. I was smiling to see the sneaker with dresses coming off the subway in rhe intro. We had several garment ce ter clients and i got to go to a few runway shows in the 80s. I just love the art of fashion! Big fan! You need to w8n some sort of videographer award!
OMG 😳 I watch you all the time and never coment. BUT seeing THIS, I had to. It was so very well done. Your narration, the mix of colors, your POV of the different aspects of NY: The black and white, the cement, your description and perception of color was chef’s 💋. Everything was perfection! You captured my attention in soooo many ways. 🥰🥰🥰
I sooo love what the Black cowboy said about you, and your beautiful sprit that matches your fashion. I sooo needed this today! Thank you for making me smile today!
What people are wearing is my favourite content from you. I usually would not wear featured styles or looks, but they are very inspirational, they give me a motivation to experiment and style my clothes in a new way.
Karen, I was SOOOO happy to see this video posted!! I watched it on my phone and again on my TV! I found you and your channel years ago because of these. I was coming to NYC and was so worried I'd be pegged immediately for a laid-back, uncool-dressing Northern Californian. I go to New York twice a year because I love it so much and your videos gave me the impetus to change up my wardrobe and join the fun and freedom of having my own style, especially when I'm there. Thank you for that and for bringing a glimpse of New York City to the world! 😃❤
I love this series. It got me through the pandemic and my home sickness for NYC. You say it's a gift to us . And I wholeheartedly accept it. It is a wonderful piece of art and history and social commentary all rolled into one. We need a ❤️ button for this!
How I never thought of using gold leaves as make up style it’s just gorgeous! You can find it in art stores as it usually used in painting and other art scene.
I literally went to open UA-cam while eating my lunch and said out loud, “Come on, Karen, I need another episode” and low and behold 😊 here it is 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
There have been similar offshoots of this series, but none have come close to the way this is produced - the eclectic mix of interviewees’ style, how the fashion somehow harmonises with the energy of the city, the thoughtful voiceovers, and the exchanges you have with the people. Wonderful to see you back with your new "What Everyone is Wearing". I was becoming discouraged because it had been so long since you had posted a new episode.
