Great interview. This is a great lesson on communication. Perception is reality. We all have differences on how we perceive things so therefore multiple realities exist. I believe its important to understand that the experience of our individual realities shape and influence how we perceive and deal with new experiences. Communication is a chance to experience the reality of others. We have a better chance if we do our best to accept that and not judge the info we obtain based solely on the emotion of our experiences. We will never fully understand what it was like from their consciousness but if we listen to the story and attempt to be empathetic we can add it to data our mind collects and use the info to shape our future perceptions in that a way that leads us to enjoying the time we are here keeping the flame of our species lit.
As long as the people are smart enough to take that out of this conversation.. instead of praise AB because of his success in sports n music.. and just eat up everything he says! That’s what the Kanye followers do, and it’s sad.

I’m late lol, but this was a great interview , I prejudged Pat idea on AB with these 2 min clips that’s brought me here . But this is refreshing to see real human interaction . Frustration from everyone , but it was genuine , everyone being themselves , no one is wrong , we all learning everyday .
We witnessed PBD's negotiating skills take form in live time.. He analyzed the scenario he found himself in, sat back and considered his next approach, then addressed the situation directly.. PBD then sat back and allowed Adam to ease AB's mind by showing him he's not in a hostile interview.
It didn't work then. He gave up. Nothing you can do with a petulant child and he felt himself getting dumber. He knew AB had the mentality of a dumb child and it was pointless.

I almost stopped watching several times but Pat you said it would pay off to watch the whole thing, and it did. Great interview. This is a great lesson on communication. Perception is reality. We all have differences on how we perceive things so therefore multiple realities exist. I believe its important to understand that the experience of our individual realities shape and influence how we perceive and deal with new experiences. Communication is a chance to experience the reality of others. We have a better chance if we do our best to accept that and not judge the info we obtain based solely on the emotion of our experiences. We will never fully understand what it was like from their consciousness but if we listen to the story and attempt to be empathetic we can add it to data our mind collects and use the info to shape our future perceptions in that a way that leads us to enjoying the time we are here keeping the flame of our species lit.
As long as the people are smart enough to take that out of this conversation.. instead of praise AB because of his success in sports n music.. and just eat up everything he says! That’s what the Kanye followers do, and it’s sad.

This guy CLEARLY has effects of CTE, and that’s me being gracious and not just wanting to attribute his actions towards his inherent character. This man is 100% emotionally driven and contradicts himself after every other sentence. It irritates my soul. The level of patience Pat has when dealing with this guy is AMAZING. Thank you for being honest and courageous (honest as an attribute takes courage). I’m Latino and am aware of internal cultural standards that hurt us. Every culture has them. I think it’s unhealthy that we can all point those issues out in white culture but we all have to act like blacks/Latinos/Asians have none of these cultural issues.

100% there's obviously something wrong with him. Sports isn't the only option for black people in this country..I mean ironically enough my dentist is black lol. He did a great job with a chip I had...anyway lol. I don't think the country is this racially divided as brown or rhe media suggests. Especially in 2023. I think for the most part everyone is equal...of course if your born into wealth you have more opportunities and advantages but that's not racial .

The amount of respect i gained for pdb while watching this can't be put into words. He commanded respect without being hostile and was able to get ab to open up after being completely shut off. Amazing

I respectfully disagree. Obviously, I don't know these men personally. But I follow their content daily, and I'm fairly confident that Pat genuinely cares. And of course he wants views. That's the business he's in. He's a capitalist. Doing something he loves, who's in service of others and makes money while he does it. I don't see a problem. I see him living the American Dream! And good for him. Also, AB came on the podcast by his own free will. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if PBD was helping him out behind the scenes. It's good for AB to keep the company of good men like these. These are the types of men that value brotherhood. It was an interesting conversation!

I almost stopped watching several times but Pat you said it would pay off to watch the whole thing, and it did. The man is a lion with a thorn in his paw, your ability to remain calm and composed was extraordinary to watch. Thanks to you I started to read about Stoic philosophy and this was an example that showed me how much work I need to put into this journey. I have a lot of respect for you Pat, thanks to this video.

He started smiling and laughing. He has alot of animosity toward media for misrepresenting him. Theres a part of me that feels bad and is trying to understand. I noticed he opened up alot and was calm at the end. I think we just need to pray for him.

I only came across PBD towards the end of 2022, and find him and his podcast so refreshing in a world of intolerance. NGL, it's taken me a couple of days & I'm only 1/2 thru this interview. It's hard to get thru. I'm confused as to why AB agreed to this interview since he was defensive & antagonistic from the beginning. I don't think I'm gonna be able to finish.

I thought I had CTE. I had to rewind and rewatch with subtitles to get what AB was saying. Was it just me or some other people too. I am a little concerned about my intelligence. Either I'm sluggish from sleep apnea or this was a hard to understand interview. (not sarcasm genuinely would like to know - is it me or is AB hard to understand, because Pat seems to be able to understand and say something back. I would have a hard time processing AB's words and would need to be like "huh"?)
