Hahaha.. pjws and keystone state championships definently were, except the refs were all fat and took a solid 3 seconds to start counting back points bc they couldnt get over there fast enough 💀
The first time I ref for my school's youth tournament, a coach came up on the mat before I flipped the coin for second round of the match, and he said "Hey- I know your trying, but these kids want to know who wins. If you keep making bad calls and forgetting to call back points- I'll take care of it myself." I called no back points.
Reffed a kids' tournament. Kid stuck in crucifix pin. Count 1...kid goes, "oh crap, I'm stuck." I laugh and restart the count and call the pin. His dad, their coach, charges me on the mat saying I counted too fast.
Lmaoo my brother told me that there was some crazy parents when some of the wrestlers were reffing a youth wrestling tournament that happened at out high school

Yes it is, but as a coach at least in Tennessee, some of the refs make some crazy out there calls 😂

Unpopular opinion but I don’t think you should be aloud to be a ref for any sport without experience in that sport
