CVV is the man! Giving us the best wrestling interviews on UA-cam, glad he chose this path ❤
Appreciate you! ❤️
Who says communications is a useless degree????
@@CVVCLIPSbut how long did you do it Do you really know how it feels or did you just take the easy way to be friends with the wrestlers
What a sick joke 😂
Don't get upset Chrissy, LGBTQ community has your back ❤
If you love something let it go, and if it loves you it will return. Wrestling loves you bro. We do too. You're the man.
Wrestling does not return to anyone ever, you gotta work for it and get hurt to show trainers that you’re meant for the business and that you’re passionate.
wholesome af
Can you give the full quote? I remember to end something like “if it comes back to you , it’s yours , else it never was “
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@0zbrian that's the old school mentality when it was about keeping kayfabe alive and weeding out the guys he might quit in a few years and expose the business. I've been to wrestling school and wrestle part time as a hobby, my trainers always said if someone gets hurt during training someone screwed up, either you or the other guy were being careless. Yeah they'll be rough with you but it's not to see how "passionate" you are but to get you used to the pain and learn to work through it and absolutely NOBODY is leaving with anything broken unless a mistake was made
"Pain Free" should be the name of your finisher
So stealing that name lol 😋
Kind of an ironic name eh 😅
@@powerofme7144nah he just gives them the care they’ve been longing for and makes them give up

Man with respect for the business. That's why guys do interviews with CVV because he has cred. Humble dude.
CVV and Simon Miller are the wrestling interviewer GOATS. Up there with Mean Gene
yes sir the cream rises to the top
Give that man a golden up!
YEAH
Same here as well. I was 15 when I started to attend a Pro Wrestling school. For a couple of years, I was training. I was also feeling the same way as you did. Everything was working against me, and I was also going to school and I had problems back home. So I decided to quit, with the idea that, if Pro Wrestling comes back to me, I’ll pick it up. But now I’m 26, I’m glad that I can go out of bed without any pain in my body😂
Youre a good dude Chris.
This resonate with me so much. Because I also let that dream go because so many circumstances was pulling me against it. And sometimes I thought I was a failure because I didn’t pursue it and had that thoughts of “what if” but seeing this clips reminds me that if you love something you let it go and if it was meant to be it will follow you back. And maybe God was protecting me because like Chris said people his age doing wrestling everything hurts.
A good call that benefits all of us. It’s always great to see you wherever you pop up. Any chance of you doing anymore voice over work for WrestleTalk videos? Such a cool surprise last time!
That was a nice surprise for me too! I’d love to do more!
@@CVVCLIPS excellent. Imma go bug Oli about it. Cheers, Chris! 🍻
It's one of those moments where it's not exactly where you wanted in the first place but hey you're still IN that industry which you're still passionate about it and I honestly love it.
CVV at the head of the table.
You'd be a great interviewer for WWE.
That’s be underselling chris tbh
Best wrestling interviews.🙏 Thanks bro
Instead of being a Pro Wrestler you are the number 1 guy who gets to interview our heroes. I'm always excited to watch your videos. Keep up the great work Chris. ✌😎👍
Smart man, he gets to use his knowledge with his passion.
That you weren't sure means it sure wasn't for you. The dedication required is enormous, and we've been fortunate that you were honest with yourself and answered your calling.
CVV is one of those guys that nobody can dislike. I have never once seen anything bad said about him before.
"The Anesthesia" or other moves along that route would make a great name for a Demented Doctor. "Laughing Gas" "The Plug Puller submission" so painful you wanna die. "The Lethal Injection" which Jay Lethal already has "The Overdose" "Blunt Force Trauma" already used by LA Knight.
Code Red are other moves that easily fit.
I'm so happy to hear a story where somebody made a rational decision and it worked out. Usually all you hear is people making irrational decisions talking about "I had to take a gamble and bet on myself."
Well I’ll say on behalf of the rest of us watching you regularly… we appreciate your decision to chose the path that you’re on. Love the content
Love your content man. One day I’ll be a guest on your show.
I feel very much the same! I put a lot of training in but didnt make it my entire career - but what I also do brings it to the wrestling table, and that's such a great feeling, and im so happy im not in pain daily, but actually help with the opposite and help others, including wrestlers to heal and find their purpose! Big up CVV
I dont want to be a old man who complains about that everything hurts. So I can find myself in his words. Im graceful that I am fit and blessed with a good working body
I’m so glad we get to watch your interviews mate ❤
I wrestled a bit growing up. Became friends with the local promoter and I would help set the ring up for shows and I got to train in it for free. The wrestlers would come before the shows and show us some stuff too.
I'm in that exact same scenario. Despite how difficult and how much hard work training is, I'll definitely give it one last shot when my University degree is over
I think cvv needs to give his wrestling dream one more shot
All of my life I wanted to be a pro wrestler. Did wrestling in HS & all. Then at 20 I went to wrestling school and in one week I realized it wasn't for me. We had to take 10 back body drops in a row. By the third one I knew I didn't want to take anymore abuse to my body. ESPECIALLY if I wasn't supposed to fight back. Had to find a new career path.
CVV you give us the best content and I’m sure you would’ve thrived in any path you chose!
I’ve got a similar story…
So I’m from Brazil and there is no wrestling tradition here whatsoever. As a huge wrestling fan, my dream was to step into the ring myself and make that a career.
But that meant I’d have to have enough money to move to another country, maintain myself in a strange land, afford food, housing and training - and develop a wrestling physique to back it up.
So I knew I had to master the principles of money and bodybuilding to get started (and learning English, of course). I did that and eventually raised enough dollars to be a millionaire in my country, developed a nice physique, learned the language - but never pulled the trigger on the wrestling deal, as now I have a son and a wife.
At 34, it’s unlikely I could start a career in that field. Despite having accomplished a lot due to my wanting to be a wrestler mentality, I often wonder… what if?
Chris, thank you for being so honest alot of things to consider right
Dude I’ve been watching you for so years now, just wanna say your awesome dude.
If you listen you will hear... YOU DESERVE IT 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
No lie his pics during his old wrestling days, Chris was JACKED like Craig & Smokey saying "DDAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNN!!" 😂🤣
Chris you can still do it man!
In other words you found your true calling love ya CCV! 👍
Is the full coming out soon? It’s dope seeing CVV being the one getting interviewed for a chance.
I did Lance Storm's wrestling school in 2015 when I was 22. I learned a valuable lesson in the middle of training: there are some things that are only worth getting into if you 1000% love it. I can safely say I didn't love pro wrestling enough to want to do it after those 3 months. I have incredible respect for pro wrestlers and what they go through; I thought it might be my thing but I didn't love the actual wrestling like everyone else, I only liked the promos and characters and storylines. So I focused more on my loves for acting and standup comedy, and now adult content. Those things can't potentially paralyze me like pro wrestling could, and I just wasn't someone who was passionate about pro wrestling like the other ones in my class. Still, I share your love of wrestling like you Chris, and you inspire me to keep hustling and doing things that bring me true joy! 💪🙏
I think the guy did the right thing & good for him. It's good to see him successful.
"I get out of bed, it doesn't hurt"
Oh just wait, youngin 😂😂😂
I love Conrad, ITR, etc etc but I don’t think there’s anyone in the shoot interview world as universally loved as CVV. And rightly so
I'm certainly grateful for the version of Chris Van Vliet that we have today. Love your content. Love your enthusiasm. Love your interviews with wrestlers and actors alike. Love your videos in general. You're doing great work Chris. I could only wish to have your job
CVV being interviewed for once? Nice. Also when did he appear on aew?
I was on a few episodes of Dynamite in 2019!
@@CVVCLIPS Wow really didn't know that. Would love to see those clips someday keep up the good work and congrats on ur success
Chris , I’ve done it on one of my latest episodes and I’ll say it now . Next year at mania WWE should book us podcasters to go at it in the ring . Battle of the podcasters. ⭕️
I honestly had that same thought, like you love the sport but waking up in pain everyday and running the risk of an injury that it could not just stop your career but your whole life (Droz). I’m glad CVV thought about that kinda thing beforehand and realized you can still be part of the business, even if not in the ring
Super grateful you got to do both anyways 🙏🏽
Truly cool testimony
I got to OVW in the final years of it being Developental but gave up when told I was bad in the ring but could make a good manager
Nah bro only you know if you’re good or bad, you should’ve asked what was so bad about your wrestling, and calling you a manager should’ve motivated you to get better or something because that would hurt anyone’s ego. Don’t give up
Hopefully one day, Chris Van Vliet appears on WWE TV as a guest announcer role🤞❤
CVV needs to have a segment in WWE or AEW. Hit someone with a clothesline or a DDT.
You made a great decision man keep up the great work.
Side opinion - that stunner to shane is one of the all time moves and sell in wrestling history.
Was that jay and silent bob??
Dude you're the man!
I unfortunately couldn’t get into wrestling for diagnosed with a kidney disease at 14 then had a skateboard accident at 16 and caused me to have a TBI so that ended that lol
Love you Chris
Im already in pain getting out of bed, may as well take advantage of that
Everything happens for a reason! 🎉
It tickles me. Sure would love to see a Chris sharp cameo once
😎
You made the right decision, man. Would’ve never got to see this content had you chose the other path. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Van Vliet has a nice ring tho. I’d book it.
My father ran a promotion in Massachusetts during the early/mid 2000s. The tail end of tje promotion was when i was a freshman in HS... Because of money shit fell through so i never got to fully train and then me and my dad had a huge falling out before I finished school so wrestling took a back seat after that since i was homeless...but man....I live in Japan now and im 29 but.... Sometimes i stil think maybe
You could have bailed on school if all you were after was a communications degree, dawg.
I appreciate you I would love to meet you in person someday because you’ve met a lot of people I’ve gotten to me and a lot of people I look up to
Same happened to me man i trained to be a wrestler did mma now im a chef life happens sometimes.
Chris Van Vliet is a real mans man
Best interviews in the universe
#drunk17ofmay
100% agree you have the best of both worlds.
You finished school, and still did training, and as a media corespondent(idk if that's what he's considered) you probably get looked at by wrestlers a little better and people are more willing to talk to you.
Plus you took some gnarly chops from Spears 😂
Bettttttaaaaa!!!
You earned my respect !
Me and my brother tried out for a wrestling school two years ago. He wasn't that bad but when they told me to take a back bump, I knew within seconds I wasn't cut out for it😂
Would absolutely love to see you wrestle in WWE or AEW at least once, but I’m glad you chose the path that you like
This guy gets it. Just go in get the experience and out, you can love what you do but I don't recommend forever if it takes a toll on you.
I appreciate your position in the wrestling world
Made the right choice. He is contributing to the business the way he was meant to.
Theres always a difference between thinking you want to do something and actually doing it
Chris is the Ariel Helwani of wrestling journalism (at the beginning of his career). He's so good at what he does, you forget that he doesn't work at any of the companies he reports on.
And you do a damn good job
Just imagine training for wrestling back in the territorial days
Keep taking finishers like the impaler ddt and you’ll have a hell of a career selling moves too!
This man should main event Wrestlemania and get inducted in the Hall of Fame. After all, if Michael Cole can beat Jerry Lawler at Mania, anythings possible 😂💀💀💀
I wanted to be a wrestler so bad when I was 10 at the height of the Attitude Era. Me and some of my friends would put on pretend matches in an empty playground on school grounds after everyone left. Well one fateful day, one of my friends hit me with an elbow drop from off a bench; I had no clue about how wrestlers are supposed to protect themselves during a bump and that elbow drop killed any and all wrestling dreams that I had
LET HIM BE IN A ROYAL RUMBLE!!!
I HAVE SPOKEN.
CVV Brotha we need to see u Wrestle a few Wrestling Matches in AEW or NXT!¡! And congratulations to you two Chris & Rachel of your new daughter Logan 5.29.23!¡! One.
i wanted to be a pro so bad so trained for two months
My girlfriend has been into sports since 7 and she has been learning pro wrestling since she was 10 and now she is 17 .she got pro wrestling deview for the town club wrestling tournament when she was 15 which was too early as she was 5'10 with a well built musuclar physique but first 4,5 month went bad as she lost 7 matches then at age of 16 she won 4 matches b2b in a tournament reaching semi finals and got a call from texas pro wrestling to train there ,but she has been training there since last 6 month she only got 2 matches and she is just 17 and was given matches gainst another trainee who was 25 and one against a pro wrestler named mylo and she was made to lose even though she had better physique and strength which were not even streamed on yt rathr she fought in 18 matches in toown club and won 16 yet she got less chances in the big club .so her dreams of getting chance for wwe is going tot ake a long way even the audition phase
It’s the unspoken price for our entertainment
He has a good look, communication skills and his real name sounds cool. I think he would of been successful in the ring.
Man im 21 and getting out of bed hurts, my back hurts right now actually, am i a wrestler?
Man, I'd rather hear these interviews with folks with similar stories; it isnt the end all be all. I got bored with wrestling and left for martial arts and through jiu jitsu and judo I've been on the mat with Samoa Joe, Jack Swagger, Batista, MVP, dudes from UFC, and even got to see my old wrestling school mate Roderick Strong come in to learn a move or two. I came back to wrestling in my 40s, a better actor and talent having made 7 films in the interim.
The interviewer gets interviewed
CVV will be in the WWE at some point am calling it hear
Tag Team Champ
I started wrestling training at 40. Props to DDP because theyose kids ran circles around me.
That's kind of a shame Chris I hope it cheers you up to know that if you became a wrestler tommorow I would be a fan I think you could be a very good wrestler not just physically but personality wise but I'm happy you still get to be around your childhood dream (I wanted to be a wrestler briefly as a kid too because I adored William regal and hoped to be like him).
A great decision. Either one would have been a good decision because of Chris’s work ethic but he’s found a fun niche that I’m not sure he could have had in just wrestling
You need to break into wwe HQ bro it’s a crime that you’re not a ring announcer or interviewer
That’s why he’s the goat the GOAT
Wrestling training a few months aint the same as: working a job, training, and on the time left, driving all over for small crowd matches for no money
I don't get how wwe hasn't reached out and let him get a host gig like Sam Robert's or dude from hot 97
Hire this man TK
I’m 50 and I didn’t take a lot of crazy bumps and my body is not beat up
Shane O mac sold that stunner
Smart man
