Stifler and Jim’s Dad were the heart and soul of this franchise.
Jim's Dad was the only character to appear in every single movie in the series...
and Stiflers MOM!
and Tara Reid was so hot
Mena Suvari was hotter, and stayed hotter for longer.
Tara Reid did not age well.
There was no heart OR soul to this franchise
This one time, at Sin Camp..
I stuck a sin up my sinhole
😳
@@CinemaSins what happens at Sin Camp, stays at Sin Camp
YOU SWORE TO NEVER TELL!!!
That flute tastes funny.
I’d like to remind everyone that this movie came out 25 years ago. For those of us that were around a quarter of a century ago I apologize for reminding you how old we’re all getting.
don't worry, my body reminds me every single -ing day
@@Patternermine reminds me every morning getting out of bed, in places I didn’t know I had 20 years ago.
I saw something about it being its 25th anniversary and I was like no fucking way. It’s only a matter of time before slim shady starts showing up on my oldies stations lol.
A uni grad just started at my work. . . . I look younger then I am and the look of increduality when he learned my age was intense. . .
Nearly smacked him when he blurted out "you were born in the 1900's?!?!?"
P.s: my back hurt when he said that
true, but at least we out here gettin old, unlike the latter
It is absolutely disgraceful that no sins were removed from this movie, particularly for Eugene Levy
I agree.
I think he added more sins on for Eugene Levy getting sucked into doing the sequels for so long.
I was a high school senior when this came out. Can confirm that once dialup internet was available, there was no longer MUCH need for watching scrambled channels. But dialup was very very slow, so one didn't totally replace the other.
Dialup internet was slow, but by 1999 broadband was already widespread. I remember it well because Napster had just taken off and very quickly ran out of hard drive space.
@@-Ricky_Spanish- I got broadband in college. Parents weren't of teenagers were not typical broadband subscribers yet by that point.
Took 3 hours to download a pamela anderson topless video that was 2.7 seconds long 😅
@@Sam_on_UA-cam That's fair, my parents were early adopters and got cable internet in 1997. I had been into BBSes since the late 80's and my dad was a telecom engineer so we were probably a little ahead of the curve in some technology. The movie was also probably filmed in 1998, and in those days a matter of months could make a huge difference, society was changing fast.
@@-Ricky_Spanish-By 1999, broadband was becoming available but the vast majority of home internet users. In the US something north of 90% had dialup in 2000 and dialup users peaked in 2001 or 2002. It wasn't until the mid-2000s that broadband became more common than dialup.
It is also worth noting that in 1999 only around a third of households had any form of internet.
As a band geek AND a flutist, to boot, I can tell you that I had to carry my flute to every class. School never gave me enough time to get to my locker unless it was before/after school and in between lunch periods.
At my school kids kept their instruments in the band room.
Nerrrrrrrrrrrdddddd
Respectfully 🫶🏼😆

"Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation."
This movie is still solid gold, even after 20+ years. I'm disappointed that the sin count was suprisingly low :D
"For as long as I can remember I always wanted to get my piece of the pie"
In fairness, at least they picked the right _section_ of the high school library to hide the sex book. "Fluid dynamics"...
joke would have landed better if it had been in the Teen Romance section
@@TatsuChi No way. Fluid dynamics is way funnier... but that might be because I am a nerd that enjoys both types of fluid dynamics.
16:15 If I remember correctly, Finch's lies didn't risk getting anyone into trouble who didn't consent being part of them. They just included whatshername and I think some other nonspecific women. Sherman on the other hand lied about having sex with a specific girl, which could have gotten her into trouble, e.g. if her parents were religious nuts.
So I'd say that makes Finchs lies better, because he wasn't trying to look better at the expense of someone else.
Yeah, I made my own comment about it before I saw this, but it's all about consent (and pre-arranged compensation), versus using someone without their permission, especially in a way that could be a real problem, as you said.
Still gonna go with "kind of skeezy" but in a very different league than Sherman (and the best that can be said about any of them in this movie).
@@ThatSoddingGamer That's what I think too. They both lied, but only one of them had the consent of the girl involved.
A long, long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
It still makes me smile. Regardless of how the movie has aged, it feels good to hear
@@kamutv4633 whoosh
And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance, and maybe they'd be happy for a while
Should still make you smile😊
Bye bye miss american pie 🤘
I just saw some interview with Allison Hannigan where she says she gets uncomfortable and tenses up whenever a fan comes up and starts to quote that line. She said she loved her role, but since she's almost always with her kids, she gets embarrassed that people are gonna finish the quote in front of them.
Remember, fan is short for fanatic. I feel sorry for her. Humans suck.
"This one time, at band camp, I stuck a flute in my p****."
"...and that kids, is how I met your mother."
NOBODY ASKED YOU PATRICE! @@RonaldKragnes
She's fine with the "this one time at band camp" line. But once it goes to the flute.....
You should have added a couple extra sins for Stifler becoming the breakout character of the franchise.
Also, a couple more for Stifler's little brother becoming the protagonist of one of the sequels.
ALSO also, at least 10 more to yourselves for not taking off a sin for Eugene Levy's character being probably the most present and responsible (if dorky) parent in the entire franchise.
I know the sin is mostly in jest imo per usual but your comment doesn't seem to be and I need to point out that stiffler wasn't the breakout star.... Sean William Scott who ACTED as Stiffler... became a breakout star, he's never been known as a sleezeball dirtbag actor.... he's a seemingly good dude and obviously good actor... his run after this was solid with Final Destination, road trip, Evolution, The Rundown with The rock... role models woth paul rudd.... Goon, a solid lethal weapon short season.... cmon man lol
That's another movie, and another video.
I love how they're getting creative on their thumbnails for the past few months
Thanks!
@@CinemaSins No prob fam!
Been a long time since I watched this, but with 'The Sherminator', I think the key difference is he decided on his own to lie about having sex with that particular gal. Basically, he decided, without her consent, to use her name to inflate his reputation at her expense. The other guy at least paid for a girl to spread rumours about his ability; a mutually beneficial partnership that both parties agreed to.
As a former band geek. Dude not playing is probably a low brass or percussionist. You can't play those outside acceptable areas because they are too fucking loud for enclosed spaces like a hallway. Sin rescinded.
"and now he's up Shit's Creek because he refuses to knock" - there's a nice pun there
Been waiting on yall to sin this movie for so long please do all the other ones too
Cinemasins does this movie. Epic thumbnail.
"This is like the coolest thing I've ever seen"
You never did American Pie? I’m here for it!! Do all the teen movie era
A classic. Yes ageing stereotypes, but the kind of crude cringe humour they would never allow to be made these days. I still find it hilarious and I’m mid 40s 😆
Same. There's no crass edginess anymore as people are so afraid to offend a minority of sooks.
Anyone who wants to see Jeremy sin all American Pie movies and lose his mind like the Fast franchise, hit like
2:58 YES A ROOKIE OF THE YEAR REFERENCE! I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THAT MOVIE EXISTED AND THAT HENRY RUTEBAGA WAS IN AMERICAN PIE! THANK YOU JEREMY!😃
PS: RIP John Candy.
Also PS:
16:39 what got me kicked out of church when the preacher got to Mary & Joseph at the Inn.
Comment of the Day 😎
"Rowengardener!" I 'memba.
His name was Henry Gardenhoser.
@@Criner05 fun fact: Thomas Ian Nicholas who played Kevin in American Pie 1,2,3 & Reunion & Henry in Rookie wrote & performed a song called “Stiffler’s Mom”, a parody of “Stacy’s Mom” the classic 2003 song by Fountains of Wayne. IMO it’s better than the original.
13:25 (I included the pre-sin moment so you can hear her speak) Yes! I thought the same thing when I first saw this and I didn’t know sht about anything back then.
I always felt sorry for Nadia after the Web cam incident. She had no idea what was happening, and she's the one who gets punished by being sent back to her home country. I'm surprised that she was even friendly with Jim afterwards.
She ran away to South Africa to rescue animals.
(in reality that's ACTUALLY what the actress does now, which is pretty cool)
I just realized this movie is just Porky's just with different characters and a different generation
Oh, it pretty much is.
What until you notice the context between the left and Germany ...
The crazed stupidity of teen hormones is a tale as old as time.
Except somehow kids know this movie but not porkys. Im amazed you do unless youre dating yourself and are old like me
@@JohnnyL22420 gen Xer here and yes indeed
3:25 That smile gives me Stu Macher vibes, and now I'm imagining how great a crossover between American Pie and Scream would be!
The end with "How you doin?" was perfectly synced. Lol
Respect for two quality Matthew Perry references and two from “Friends” too.
(And for sure and for certain, Hannigan slays it. Always.)
I still scramble my kids signals lol
Finally saw all 4 main films last month: enjoyed the first film the most, then the third (Wedding), then the second, then the fourth (Reunion). The heart of the first film, for me, was the relationship between Oz and Heather, because I found their chemistry together very sweet and believable.
I actually thought Road Trip was the best teen film at the time.
@@anubusx That was more of a college film similar to American Pie 2.
Can confirm the lack of goody-goody-ness. When I was in high school the chorus, band and drama kids all went to Jamaica on a class trip. We were asked not to return.
ALSO - any MRC fan will tell you that was not a G Stifler hit.
This was brilliant thank you so much for this. Nostalgia overload! 😅
Your sarcasm is the best. Makes your videos so watchable..
And american pie movies the best. Miss yhe early 2000's comedy
I love the American Pie movies! Can't wait for you to do the others!
I've never been this early to a cinemasins video!! Hopefully Jeremy Scott can acknowledge my comment I've seen a whole other sin channels and I can personally say they don't do it like you mate!! I personally think you're great at this! And funny as hell!! I can't tell you a bunch of yes I was feeling down and the cinemasins lifted my spirits!! Keep at it mate!! 🙏
7:16 "lying to your students" cracked me up
Fun fact: The only girl with a look of disappointment in the crowd when Finch comes out of the bathroom is the same girl who was earlier asking if the rumours about him were true.
Please cinemasins, do american pie 2 !
This was one was great !😊
I remember watching this in high school while my buddies and I were on a trip for our Speech and Debate team.
Ahhh, memories
Neeeeerrrrrrddddd
Oh yes. 100% @@gtt8428
I’ve always loved American pie and never realized Kevin was on rookie of the year
Everyone knows you watched the scrambled playboy channel with one hand on the button, ready to change instantly.
Finally, some good content
This video made me rewatch eurotrip, so it got that going for it ^^
The American wedding should be next that opening scene is priceless 😂😂😂
Love this film, will always love this film. Cast are amazing and they all play their parts perfectly.
anyone else miss these types of raunchy comedy movies? so stupidly fun
yes, a lot of people do and i don't understand why they don't make them anymore
@@danielmoore8695 People got far, far too sensitive and essentially became puritans (just not Christian ones)
"... I'm good at lying - I actually did steal your walkman!"
Here are all the audio outtake clips at the end:
1 (18:50): Luca (Walt Disney Pictures, 2021)
2 (18:59): Independence Day (20th Century Studios, 1996)
3 (19:13): Friends, "The One in with Joey's Interview" (season 8, episode 19; NBC, 4th April 2002)
4 (19:15): Merrie Melodies, "I Love to Singa" (Warner Bros., 1936)
5 (19:21): Seinfeld, "The Scofflaw" (season 6, episode 13; NBC, 26th January 1995)
6 (19:27): Beavis and Butt-Head, "Butt Is It Art?" (season 4, episode 19; MTV, 9th May 1994)
7 (19:33): 30 Rock, "The Return of Avery Jessup" (season 6, episode 21; NBC, 10th May 2012)
8 (19:40): What About Bob? (Touchstone Pictures, 1991)
I am super confused.
Why even sin a movie like this if your entire script is going to be "we are so evolved now, people were so fucked up and stupid so long ago"?
To signal his virtues to the other virtuous people in Hollywood.
4:47 bro I have lived in Cleveland for 50 years almost, never had a party like this.
I grew up in the boringest town in upstate NY, amazingly we had a few parties like this some even crazier...we were dirt poor, redneck as you can get but somehow, the stars aligned and we pulled it off, for a couple of them the cops didn't even show up. However, our parents were not stupid so most of us got grounded afterwards cause we were not getting that drunk and crazy and getting away with it, they knew us too well for that. But totally worth it, lol.
I want Cinemasins to sin a beloved arthouse classic that everyone raves about. They've never done that
In Jim’s defense, VHS porn is grade A+ and is the Mecca of all porn.
Wait it's been how many years and CinemaSins is only just now doing this movie?? Wow.
Been waiting for this one.. cant wait to see you sin the rest of the franchise.
Like many, I was also a senior in high school when this came out. As a bonus, I also worked at McDonald's. Needless to say the "McDonald's or homemade" line was absolutely hilarious!
I've been watching too many of these. Last night I watched "The Little Things" and couldn't stop counting the sins! So many! I would LOVE it if you did an episode on that to see your input, and I'm curious if you'd catch the big one I noticed! Now, to continue watching too many of these :D
Classic! Thank you for that!
Some good childhood memories right here
The comment on choir girls at 5:46 had me dead, I've gone on one of those Disney World trips too.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Thinking avg internet had the speed for corn in 1999😂 you were lucky if a pic would load in less than 20 mins
FINALLY, you're sinning this!!! I really hope you do the others movies too.
And I quite liked Heather&Oz together, actually. They were cute
We used to be a PROPER society! We need comedy gold like this again...
Dial up modems were the biggest snitches to people trying to sneak online.
I miss these kinds of movies.
Epic thumbnail. Classic 😂😂😂😂😂
Loser bot
Stifler was hilarious
I look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays every week. Eugene Levy is a national treasure and the best character in this entire franchise. 🤣
Yes, but that nation is our enemy to the north.
Of all the pies. This is the only one I rewatch every now and again.
Sinning this movie at all is the real sin lol.
"Now, come to me."
"Assuming he hasn't already!" 😂😂
5:34 that didn’t deserve a double sin. She was testing him to make sure he actually cared about his girlfriend.
My view? It’s CinemaSins’ job to be as insensitive, pedantic, out-of-context and off-the-point-of-any-scene as possible.
I can’t believe how old these movies are now but they are one of my favourite movie franchises of all time
Sin Jungle2Jungle with Tim Allen
That Bill Pullman Independence Day speech dub at the end was fucking phenomenal 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is a sin that you sinned this film… I’m adding 3 sins for every perfect American pie move
Tom Cruise's footstool 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Scraping the barrel for sins here
"up shittes Creek" haha! That was clever
2:10
How dare you. This movie is a classic that has a profound impact on the overall history of cinema.
I remember when you sinned actually sinful things. Now you just look for anything to add a “ding!” no matter how irrelevant or pointless it is.
You missed the boon mic at the top of the screen when Jim is walking towards Nadia while "At Last" plays.
I watched this movie again recently to see if I laughed as hard as I did when I was 11, and I did. Not sure what that says about me😂
the 302th sin is gold 😂😂😂😂 that's the cinemasins I like
The "lying to your students" and "balls or sex with girls ; pick a lane" sins got audible guffaws out of me.
There’s a Bunny Lebowski outtake missing, I’m sure of it.
Love for you to do a sin video on the jersey trilogy (Clerks - also Clerks 2 & 3, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy) and other Kevin Smith movies.
I waited like centuries for this one
I'll always love this movie. I'm glad I was able to watch it as an immature and unaware teen, the intended audience lol.
Lol my local cinema was showing American Pie the other month and I was surprised to see a couple old grannies attend
Such a great movie...obviously not the sinner's cup of tea, but I still love it.
Stifler is an asshole, so seeing him get his due was the moments we came for. THAT was hilarious.
I do agree though he was the first big star but everyone went on to bigger and better things.
EVERY time I have apple pie I always say "We'll just tell your mother we ate it." 🤣🤣
The “tummy fluffies” lol
17:06 "This movie comes through with a hidden lockbox full of emergency cringe"🤣😂😂😂
Imagine if Cinemasins actually would decide to cover the 4 American Pie Spin offs between Wedding and Reunion with Eugene Levy. In the Band Camp Spin Off the protagonist not only grows in character to be a better person but he actually does not sleep with his love interest at the end. The Book of Love Spin Off has a geniuley surprising amount of recognizable faces in front of the camera. I love that spin off more than I'd like to admit. Please, Cinemasins, just look up the cast and cameos for "American Pie presents: The Book of Love (2009)"
The g above high c joke was brilliant!
American Pie is the greatest movie ever made.
@15:18 cactus is ALWAYS your friend, especially if it's san pedro or peyote
I was looking for the name of the song at 5:13 forever, thank you!
Next you should sin the movie team America world police
