Bro, the challenge we run into is the generation we came from where hardware was the way we make music so we tend to buy/collect a lot of hardware gear. I’m an IT pro with music production/studio operation as a hobby, and what an expensive hobby. I brought up being an IT pro because I have gotten away from VSTis because upgrading the MacOS has turned a lot of my VSTis into just space-holders. I like my sound modules and keyboards because software updates/upgrades doesn’t make them unusable. I like your setup 👍🏽
Damnnnn dope setup, I thought I was doing a lot with 2 hardware pres a channel strip and a compressor. I gotta hear how this stuff sounds man where can I hear your stuff?
Amazing gear. It will be cool to see the studio again after it has the acoustic treatment :) This is a simple question.. but what are your thoughts on the AMS Neve 1073 DPX vs the WA273? I know the 273 doesn't have the EQ, but in terms of the preamps.. how do you compare them? Is it the usual "you get what you pay for" situation, or does the warm hold their own against the neve? Thanks in advance.
cant lie it looks great . bro u dont even need all that gear to make great sounding music , i dnt even have half of that gear and my mixes are clean and punchy.
Its more to mixing than just clarity and punch. Headroom, harmonics etc... Each chain is used for specific reasons. Stay tuned Im making a video on what each piece is used for.
I like it I may get another but I like the 5059 more because it gives me more flexibility especially with the pan knobs and being about to have 2 Pais of stereo outs which means I can use two different silk buttons
@@MIxstarsOnline so if you want for example, to use you bass chain with elements of you master chain or synth chain, do you have to rewire the actual cables from the back of the equipment or does you pulse do it digitally? Cuz I’m having trouble seeing how the pulse is managing patching all that gear. Unless you’re re-patching one entire chain to another entire chain, and just disabling the gear of that chain you don’t need in the signal chain. Sorry, I’m kind of new to patchbays. I love your chain philosophy btw, I like how you know what you want to do, and you got chains already lined up and specified for each major situation in production. Powerful man. You can take over the world with this rig.
@@willmcelroy6376 I set up each chain for specific reasons. TRUST ME lol Ive been through lots of gear to finally get the exact sound I wanted. So each piece is paired exactly how I want to produce the sound that I want. Later I may look into the Flock Audio patch bay if I want to switch things around but right now its cool...
@@MIxstarsOnline cool, that’s what I figured. Beautiful thing when a man finds what they want. When you KNOW you got the sound you are looking for. Good for you man. I am reminded of a line from a poem: you walk with the stride of one who knows the way. I’m still trying to get there.
please hire a cameraman your camera movement literally made me vomit not kidding.. nice studio though from what i could see before rushing to the bathroom
This is like having your own Sweetwater store goodness
lol something like that
Beautiful setup. I’d love to see the cable management.

Bro either got audited or robbed because he just disappeared after this video. Either way, lots of great gear in there!

Cant wait to see it once you have it treated. What company are having treat it?
Stay tuned, Ive got two companies im working with out here in LA
God, …you got some good toys…
I watched your other studio tour and noticed you used to have a Neve 5060 Centerpiece. What happened to that? Didn't end up liking it?
I like it I may get another but I like the 5059 more because it gives me more flexibility especially with the pan knobs and being about to have 2 Pais of stereo outs which means I can use two different silk buttons
Greetings,
First great video, but I didn't see the SPL Passeq in this video. Did you let it go? If so may I ask why?
I moved that and my other Neve MBP to my other studio. Then later I sold it. It really didn't do it for me. Mainly because its a subtractive EQ.
Ive been saving up for that API 2500 love the plugin so far.
Then you're going to love the hardware too trust me
Great studio what city are you in?
LA all day :)
Ableton Gang!
What day will will the website be up?
Jan 4th
How long did it take to build it?
Honestly a few years of buying equipment testing it out and keeping what worked and selling what didn't.
No patch ba y?
Yeah I use the Pulse 16 as a patchy it shows the digital level of each hardware chain
