One of the best modern studios I've seen. Great work man!
Thank you so much man!!! Your's is amazeballs man!
Ein absolutes Traum Studio.
Absolut beeindruckend.
Ich mag Deine ruhige Art Dom. Danke, dass Du dein Wissen mit uns teilst. Ich habe schon so vieles von dir gelernt. Du bist ein sehr sympathischer Typ.
Danke für alles.
[wiping the saliva off my keyboard] Thanks Dom!! Absolutely MEGA studio 💥💥💥 literally the studio of my dreams! 👊🏽
You’re a legend! So enthusiastic about what you do. Your positive vibe can get any music nerd excited. You never say anything bad about any stuff though. Surely some things p*ss you off!? All of us get annoyed by some things. You mentioned OCD a few times so you definitely get annoyed sometimes LOL! Do tell! Maybe make a video about annoying things and how you fixed them to help us novices avoid at least some of them. Thanks for your amazing contribution to music 🙏.
I just saw your 8 things that Windows needs to improve for Music Producers video. I therefore see you have lots of experience of being annoyed but you communicate it so eloquently. Chasing IT issues is why I stayed away from DAW for so long, after trying back in early 2000’s and losing the creative moments so often, I gave up messing with DAW for close to 15 years. I did most stuff on synth workstations because they are made for one thing only - making music. But modern production requires a strong DAW and the work flow is not possible on a hardware synth workstation. Being an IT tech and trouble shooting is all part of making music these days, unfortunately. Headaches unavoidable. Just look after your hair and don’t pull it out!
Thanks for showing us your man cave Dom.😎 Great studio. Must be really inspiring working in studio like this with so much awesome gear. You are very lucky. I wish you lots of great productions. Greetings from Slovenia. 🎶🥂
Great Gear choices. love how you really thought out the design of using everything to keep inspiration going. Well done!
What a dreamy studio! And so tidy, clean and so organised!
If I had the space I'd replicate your entire studio, but in the real world I have to make do with software in my 5' square space.
Brilliant video Dom, you deserve every success in life.
By the way, your background music in this video is awesome!
Look into access analog’s hardware gear over the cloud!
Thanks Dom. You deserve the best.
Hello Dom! Your setup is soooooooooooooo beautifully organised!!! I love your setup! Awesome hardwares!👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Loved this studio tour champ! You're blessed. Keep creating!!
Would love a Bettermaker Mastering Eq video!
Awesome video, thanks! Would be really interested in learning more on how to best connect things - routing etc. while staying ergonomical. Maybe you've already done a video about that, but it would be really helpful to get some tips to take away to improve setting up things also when in a home studio etc. Like how to make most of the inputs you have to get all the various gear - synths/effects connected in the most ergonomical way?! Thanks!
Zahl eq is a secret weapon for sure. shhhh. techno dudes love it
Amazing gear and configurations Dom. You think of everything. A great room to work in. I love how the desk is called the 'Dom'inator.
hahaha coincidence ? :)
@@DomSigalas Oh, I don't think so! They got it going on. BOOM!
Nice setup Dom!
Awesome Studio set up Dom, i really like the lighting, it's so Synthwavy😁 That brings me to my question, since i really enjoyed your Synthwave producing video with Delido as singer, is it possible to make some more Synthwave making videos in the future? i would appreciate it very much. Thank you for all the knowledge you give us for free and for the inspiration.
Duly noted my friend! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing Dom 💌
I love your videos, you have inspired so many people to get stuck in with their mixes. But I also feel that quite a lot of people feel that professional quality mixes aren't possible without expensive outboard gear and plugins. That said, I have a challenge for you: do two mixes of the same song. One using any equipment you like and another using only the stock cubase plugins. I would love to hear the difference between the two and see which plugins and hardware you miss the most when constrained to the stock ones only.
Hey Kenny! I want to stress the fact that you don't need any of the anlogue gear to produce great music. I started out with a humble Soundblaster 128 PCI soundcard! The most important thing is to work on your skills! I actually had an artist that asked me to use just Cubase stock plugins for a mix so that they could open the mix on their systen. You can create amazing mixes even with stock plugins. The analogue stuff, just make the process a bit easier- they are specialized tools for the job. It's like using a normal screwdriver vs an electric one ;)
Amazing studio Dom thank you
I love everything about your room Dom! Thank you for your awesome videos! Ευχαριστούμε για το βίντεο Dom!
What a stellar cave for a man, Dom. Thanks for the inspiration and great info.
Thank you Dom. You are so delightful
YEs, acoustic treatment. I just got mine.
Beautiful Studio ..... Congrats
I would bet that the RME interface will be pulling everything together along with the desktop control. The routing is super flexible and rock solid
Holyyyy Cowwwww! 😄👍
Amazing!!
Yep that's awesome!! 🤩
Great tour! Thank you
Awesome studio - thx for inspiration :)
Very amazing studio, wonderful !!!
Amazing! Thanks!
no questions, simply beautiful!
Awesome studio, super smart having a trackball and keyboard by the synths to control the daw. Great video
Thanks for sharing!
It would be exciting to hear the zahl eq/see your more detailed perspective.
Great Tour! Love your gear choices. Thanks man ;-)
Hi Dom, thanks for sharing, studio looks great! Will be nice to see an EQ review of the Zahl, and Bettermaker to see how they compare and complement each other during mixing and mastering.
Are you going to talk about the sound treatment and lighting. All helps with creative flow
Superb loved it studio tour
Dom great set up! Will be good to see how to connect all, etc etc. Basic hardware chain for little home studio....kind of must have...and of course about led lights hahaha 😆 all the best from Bournemouth!
Exactly the opposite of my studio…and by that I mean, actually clean 😋
I’m using Antelope for my interface, but I’m interested how you use the Lynx. I’m not that advanced in my audio setup…maybe a video 😇
Hey my man! The Hilo I use 100% standalone as a converter. This is where my analogue mastering chain is hooked up. it also does my DA conversion- so it goes: ADAT OUT from my audio interface> ADAT IN of Hilo> Monitor out of Hilo>Speakers. This way the most critical parts (the monitoring and analogue AD/DA conversion) happens 100% in the Hilo while getting the solid driver performance from my proper audio interface. For some reason, good converters are synonymous with mediocre driver performance at the moment. Hope this changes in the future!
I never seen a $500,000 put together so neatly
You are born for what you are doing 😍
A lot of knowledge to drive all this
Great run-through Dom….. you have put together a really impressive setup….. very cool….. but undoubtedly matched by the professional quality of what you produce, both musically and in terms of video content. Keep at it dude….. we all love what you do :-)
Thank you so much John!
Dom, thanks for allowing us into your studio. Impressive equipment! I was wondering if you use any UAD DSP accelerators/plugins?
Another great video Dom. Glad to see you've created a production environment that embodies your character and philosophy. I think it's important that a production studio reflects the owner and isn't just a collection of gear just for the sake of it.
Also, I've never heard of the Echo Fix before. I'm interested in it. Consider making a video on it.
Hey Chris, thank you so much!
I am also of the philosophy that I get only things that make a difference and that I actually need. If I don't use a piece of gear for over a month, it gets sold :)
Echo Fix is AMAZING. I am going to make a video for it for sure!
Great Vid
Great Setup from great Musican...
Now that´s a ship!
Thank you very much for the tour. it's a great studio and I see the fun, producing music in this atmosphere. Regarding to acoustic treatment: it seems to be a rather small room, are the bass traps really sufficient to get a linear sound? what did you do on the ceiling?
Your studio and your stuffs are amazing. To tell the truth the light help a lot to make it look great. The disposition and the quality of furnitures contribute to make it very pleasant. You must feel calm and focus in room of that sort.
I project to add some light to my humble home studio because it's make room beautiful and pleasant for working.
Light makes a HUGE difference for sure. It really sets the mood!
Dom thanks for the heads up on the wireless remote control for power sockets, 1000 times better than putting the plugged power cable into the units, it’s a brilliant solution to the fact of no on/off power switches on the UF8 & UC1
Wow Beautiful
Please review the SSL UF8.
Awesome.
Studio looks great Dom! Thank you for letting us take a look in your kitchen 🙏
Studio tours provide musos with something to aspire to and budget towards. Dope gear but very expensive.
@@ARTISTIC-WORDPLAY_dotcom I do music production over 10 years. I'm fully aware of the price cost of certain gear.
Thank you my friend!
Yes, and let me add here that all this gear wasn't bought overniight but over the course of 20 years of hard work :)
Thanks so much, legend.
Musics got me on edge
snacks and notepad out. Lets go!
This is an awesome tour and the studio just to dream of. Thanks so much for mentioning my recommendation. It's always such a pleasure to share ideas back and forth with you! Really looking forward to our next event in Berlin. 😎
HaPe! Thank you so much! Your recommendation was simply spot on! As always- you are the true GURU!
@@DomSigalas Thank you very much. Too kind, but YOU are the real GURU!
Fascinating but I shudder to think what it has all cost 🤔! And of course, Dom would have a Dominator desk: kind of appropriate wouldn't you say. 😉
Dual Mono MS compression using the built in mid side matrix on the SSL Fusion would be nice!
Hey Dom, as always loving your enthusiasm, great presentation and tips and tricks. I noticed you no longer have the Softube console fader 1 in your studio, is the SSL UF-8 replacing this? I know you mentioned you're just testing this. And yes would love to see a review, full Dom style ,on this piece of kit!
Very nice hardware inside your studio!
I recently bought cubase 12 , had use it when they called it sx3 and artic as I remember, actually more finesse in the layout of cubase let’s see if can learn some tips specially for fast navigation with shortcuts etc.. btw it’s a mess to do it but if you can explain more about wires from computer to hardware front on desktop (will check again when you talk about AD/DA)
Enjoy it! Access Analog just got the CL1B and more. They also use Lynx converters. Amazing I have access to that equipment now!! But I might want to get me my own RND Portico Masterbuss as a backup because that is the one for me!
The Portico is brilliant!
Dom, what a great studio this is!
I would like to have an idea how all this material is wired together and how it communicates with Cubase?
You could sell tickets to let People visit your studio! (By re-read this.. not sure that it's a good idea haha but..) I certainly would pay the price just to be there 30min. 😂
This video inspires me a lot to make my home studio look better ! Thanks man!
Is the white portion bumped of your acoustique panel? ..
It is Wood or design on fabric ?
By the way, I love the design of it, with the purple Led. It's just.. WoW!!
Brillant work!. For brillant worker! ;)
Have a Nice Day!
Thanks Dom!
I'm glad to see your studio with millions of hardwares! But I would also like to see the millions of hits with the millions of views!
I am more than grateful that I am able to work in the music industry full time- it wasn't easy but totally worth it. Sometimes you don't need millions of views to be sucessful and happy with what you're doing- remember, there are massive composers out there (see film composers)- they don't have millions of views and they are in the "background" but they are the biggest of all ;)
Hi Dom! Don;t get me wrong! i so much appreciate your talent and music skills! I watch your all videos and i know how hard is to becom a hi level musician like you did! (Sorry for English)
Serious gear! 🙇
Well that was fun!!! Thanks so much for the tour, Dom. I love that we don't just get an insight into what you have but there are always tidbits about why you have something and how you use it! 😊
I am curious about something you didn't talk about...the monitor arm for your BenQ monitor! Not very sexy but looking for something with the range of motion yours has and works with a monitor bridge.
Something else that caught my ears...acoustic curtains. WTF?! That's something I'll need to check out as I have one wall with windows in my studio and I've always wonder how to handle them acoustically.
Thanks again, mate!
Thanks so much Jeff! here is the link to the Vesa mount I use: amzn.to/3Qbkljv
@@DomSigalas Awesome, mate. Thanks!
Great tour Dom! Love your space, the layout and your gear choices. Well thought out! The lighting is sick!
Can you tell me what you are using for a camera?
Thanks Mick! I use Sony cameras, an A7siii and A7IV- but I do a lot of video production- normally, a Sony A7C woud do great!
Dom I have seen new monitors on your studio, it might be time for a MEGA Studio tour 3.0!.
What happened to the Hilo ? , can you make a video about it?
Thanks for the tour. Great if you do a video about the Bettermaker Mastering EQ. Best/Mathias
Sure thing!
Awesome studio! And you're absolutely right about not buying vintage synths: it has diminishing returns written all over it.
Another great videao - may thanks to show your great studio and share all the details. Looking forward to see your vidio about the SSL.
What would be your advise if you would need to choose between OB6 and Prophet6 as the only option for an analog polysynth?
Great demo man! If you ever need anything from Vintage King, give me a shout! Always happy to help hook it up 👍
Thank you Eric! Highly appreciated!
Awesome! Do you have a stereo bus with always on specific analogue modules? Does your stereo bus change or is it an always on permanent chain? It would be cool to see where and in what order you have the HG2 in your mix bus chain, before or after compression or EQ.
Yeah, I'd like to know more about this and whether you have the stereo bus modules chained, in what order or do you have the modules on their own input/ output on your interface and how you'd do that deal with signal delay compensation if you were doing it that way?
Dom sir. I have no words for u. But i have a feeling only a emoji can explain ❤
I love it ⭐❤⭐
Can you make a review on the bettermaker mastering eq.
Thanks
Lovely environment! Do you use Lynx ADAT connection for Cranbourne?
impressive
Hi dom , can you please show the physical connections between all analog gears and send/returns to/from cubase ….
I was waiting impatiently for the part about the analogue effects and you knew everyone was!!! By the way i have a lynx hilo and now im eager to see how it sounds like if you clip it!
Check my latest video then ❤️❤️❤️
@@DomSigalas will do!! Thanks bro ❤️
Dom speaks out loud and saying: "I am not just a sample libraries guy" 😂
Better maker review please 👌🏽😊 And studio is amazing bro ✌🏽💯
I would love to hear your thoughts/comparisons of the stream deck XL and Loupedeck CT, how you have used them both, pros and cons - thank you for sharing, this video is awesome!
I love them both but for different things. The Loupedeck I found more usefull for photo/video editing- in the end, the Monogram felt better for controlling Cubase.
Please do a tutorial on vst live pro! Thanks in advance 🙏
Thanks
1000th like comes from me to this amazing studio!
Wow ... just wow! Very well presented too. If I might ask ... how large is your room?
It's an irregular shaped room, it's 5x4m :)
Dom, I watched the entire video because I was really curious about a particular device on your desk, and you didn't tell us what it is!!! it sits just to the right of your trackball (check video around 12:11). it's silver color, has two yellow lights turned on, about 12 buttons, a large black knob, and 3 more buttons on the bottom. What is that thing?? Thanks for the tour, and congratulations!
Please review the UF8
Great video and great deck! Please make a video of Strem deck by Elgato. Does it work well with the new midi remote system of Cubase? Or it works by the old generic remote? Think to by Elgato but don't know. Hope for your answer! Thanks 🙏
A Dream !!!! Can You make a Video how you do Guitar Recording with the Kemper please ? I got the Kemper and I love it ,but in Recording and Mixing I mostly don`t know how to tweak Sounds right and which Plugins I should use.
Greetings Peter
That's more analog than I have plugins 😆
Can you make a video about your cranborne adat 500. Love you setup Dom. Also check out WesAudio 500 series if you like digital controlled analog gear.
Great setup. I was wondering what computers you use. I think you mentioned a mac mini and a nas. Would love a video on that confirmation.
I am on An i9 PC and a MacBook Pro :) I talked about it in my previous studio tour. Depending on what Apple will bring with the new Mac Pro will determine the future of my studio :)
