Man, these veterans are retiring fast. Some are Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Stewart, Edwards, Kenneth, Kasey, bowyer, McMurray, Menard, Biffle, Vickers. Some left are Truex Jr, the Busch brothers, Hamlin, Newman, keselowski, harvick, Almirola, and more. Before you know it, they'll be all gone.
jeff gordon and dale retired too soon, i remember mark nd greg bodine in their 60s nd still racing and these early 40s . even dale senior was close to turning 50 nd had no intention of retirement at the time
Had to watch some old footage after reading his book about his final years. It's a great read if you get a chance and explains what he was going through during those last days.
It's almost like he kept an unspoken promise to his Dad that he would be able to end his career on his own terms - so glad he got to do that to cement his family's legacy.
Im a huge fan of Kyle Buschs driving skill. He has been a terrible excuse for a man since he entered the sport. Altho in more recent times he seems to be growing up a lot. Junior will always be the no.1 most popular guy, just coz hes talented, he seems like a really good genuine dude and of course, his father.
